Olore snorted. Where magic and those who use it are concerned it is best not to assume. However, I think you are right. Certainly he will,as you say, be out of the way at the least. And is that not what was desired? Now let us go and ready for the meeting and not waste time standing here. To Kotaro alone he said. When you are readied and have picked and readied a mount look for me or Authion. Do not arm yourself too heavily though-we ride to a meeting, not a battle.
The silver stallion next turned his thoughts to Denendir. If you seek a private conversation with my lady-as seems evident by your actions-it is well but I would advise against a long one. I will have Authion ready your Faux for you though,if you dally over-long. Do not forget that my lady must ready herself and I too. She will know where to find me when you are finished. With that,Olore tossed his mane and began to head down the hallway, towards the outside and the free air;feeling ill at ease with the confining walls now.
Authion paused long enough in the room to glance at both Kotaro and Denendir-the second glance being the sharper when he noticed the other's actions. He bowed deeply to his queen. "I too, will stop in the rooms I was given to collect some things and then I and Mornaur will meet you outside, ready to ride and armed. If I happen to see Storm along the way I will inform him,and collect him if he wishes to come." With another bow,he was gone;heading along the same way as Olore, but at a highly respectful distance.
As the room emptied, leaving only Elestirne and Denendir behind the elven-queen looked at the elf-lord and seemed to sigh. "I assume Lord Denendir, that my gracious companion told you not to dally over-long in our conversation and that we need to make ready for the meeting. While he is right-as he ussually seems to be-it will not deter us from a small walk and conversation" Giving the area where Wolfblade's cloak had lain a good berth and an uneasy look, she led the way out into the hall and began to walk along the corridor at a sedate pace after she was sure he followed. For a few moments she did not speak until they had descended to the main level. After another moment of silence she spoke;her musical voice softly chiming and her midnight hair shimmering with glints of silver as she paused and turned to look at him.
"What would you speak of lord?"she asked. "What would you ask of me to answer for you? If it is to do with Telemachus..." a faint shudder visibly rippled her slender frame and a haunted look briefly touched her fair face, "then ask what you will but do understand when I am reluctant to answer. Memories of my first encounter with him,the first time I was in this land, are not pleasant and I do not like to remember them nor think on the contacts he has done of me since I've arrived this time. But if you ask, I will answer. You deserve to know what you can considering your vision and that you go to meet him with us.

"Well for starters, anything I can do to lift your spirit some? I am known for many things. If not, then might I understand just a bit of the power, something that you have seen Telemachus use before in your encounters that might give me a heads up on what I am up against? I would also ask, may you tell a little of yourself in the way of family and how you came about meeting those whom I know already."Denendir said with a slight smile.
Thinking a bit to himself before asking,"I also noticed that you shivered intensly all of the sudden during our meeting milady, what was it that coursed through you enough to make you shiver?"

Elestirne glanced at Denendir. "It would be good to know what you mean by 'lifting my spirit' lord." Something in her silver eyes flickered. "And how you would accomplish this. You might do better to ask why I am troubled before asking how you may lift my spirit. As to the other things you ask...I first must know what you wish to hear of my family ere I can answer you properly. On Telemachus and how I came to meet Kotaro and Tatsumura...both are long answers.
"Telemachus.." there was a tension in her voice, masked by a careful neutrality. 'seemed well-versed in the use of magic in our last encounter, and quite powerful. I know for certain that I saw him use fire and that he can manipulate things. By experience I also know him to have some control over dark magic and the use of a staff… Anything more I cannot say. Now, how I met Kotaro and his lord...that is a long story and one I am not sure I have the proper time to recount here and now when we need begin to make ready for the meeting. But if you truly wish to hear it,it is...connected to my first encounter with Telemachus..."
At his last question she tilted her head very slightly to one side. The gaze she fixed on him sharpened;the light of her silver eyes grown piercingly bright. For a moment, she considered whether or not to answer;given that her answer had to do with him. After a moment, she decided it could do no harm to tell him. "What caused my shiver you ask? Twas you Lord Denendir."
Her gaze turned considering and her silver eyes flashed quickly side to side to verify that there was none nearby to overhear. "I am what is known as an empath. What that means is that I can heal of my own being and will, through my own innate strength and power- without words, spells or herbs-simply by concentrating. Or sometimes I do so without being aware. But there is another side to it."
"Being empathic also means that I sense-and feel-the emotions and...pains of others. If they are strong enough...I will see what is causing the pain/emotion and even feel it as though it were my own, especially while healing. The closer the person is to me-in terms of friendship not proximity-and the greater their pain, the more intensely I feel it." Her silvery eyes flickered, dimmed. "If the pain/emotions are great enough it could physically incapitate me instead of merely discomfort me. You lord, became distressed during the meeting for a moment when thinking to yourself. No,I could not read your thoughts-nor tell what you were thinking that caused it-but I could clearly sense your distress and sensed morever, that it had something to do with your past. I felt your distress and it caused me a moment's discomfort.. You do not have to tell me what caused your distress lord but you asked the cause of my shiver. And now,I think,we should begin to make our way to the stables to rejoin the others and ready for the meeting. We can,of course, continue to speak on the way there if you wish." One midnight eyebrow arched ever so faintly as she waited for his answer.

Olore paused in his stride as he meandered along a garden path. His ears pitched back as he felt the attempt at a connection. Recognizing the feeling of the one called Wolfblade in the attempt the stallion cautiously opened his mind just enough to allow him to communicate and hear Olore's responses in return. Speak. His voice was deep and resonant;commanding and majestic. Say what you will. But keep your 'brother' under tight control. Madness consumes only those that let it-or wish it.
With a small toss of his mane the silver stallion continued walking;adjusting his course to begin to head towards the stable. I wonder if Authion and Kotaro already await. They have had time enough to go to their rooms and return by now

Now armed with his daisho and light armor, Kotaro stood in the stables, looking over the various breeds of horses, trying to decide which was most suited to the task at hand. Speed was not important for a midnight rendezvous, nor was carrying capacity. Perhaps Elestirne-sama will allow me one of the elven horses... He glanced to his left and saw a recognizable silhouette. "Ah, Authion. I have a question to ask you. Would you allow me one of the elven horses for the meeting? I don't need anything special, but I've heard elven horses are more perceptive than other breeds."

Authion had gone immediently to his given quarters to finish preparing and collect what he needed. A few precious moments he had spent in deep thought;debating how armoured and armed to go to the meeting. At length he decided that full armour would be unnecesary and perhaps communicate less than peaceful intent-they went to a meeting after all,not a battle. Donning only his chainmail-and plate breastplate and fauld-he strapped his longsword on and added a few daggers. Unsatisfied, but resigned to the fact that diplomacy did not allow anything more, the elf picked up his helm and shield with a sigh and strode from the room;cloak billowing behind him.
Making haste down to the stables to fetch and ready Mornaur,he took time to explain to those of his people that he passed that he was going to accompany the queen and others to a meeting. He gently but firmly turned down the inevitable offers of an escort-explaining that the queen had chosen the group and would brook no extras or followers. Clearly confused, but respectful, the elves fell back and ceased plagueing him as he gained the stall Mornaur had been given. But in an effort to make themselves feel useful they brought their commander the stallion's tack, then melted away-except his captains, who stayed to speak with him;wanting the full story. After he had told them, they too, bowed and left him alone.
After a few moments the elven-knight heard footfalls enter the stables and stop not far from where he stood, tightening Mornaur's girth. He did not look up however,or show any sign of knowing of the other presence but continued to check Mornaur over. The blood-bay stood perfectly;sensing this was not a time to play with his master as he would otherwise have done. Just as Authion had finished his inspection to his satisfaction a familiar human voice called his name.
Authion turned and exited the stall to face Kotaro. Mornaur followed with a shake of his mane;coat gleaming like fire in the dim light of the stables. He nickered and stood dociley at his master's right hand as Authion spoke. The elf gave Kotaro a long, measuring look, his emerald eyes glinting but face unreadable. "It is not ussually done but I think my lady would approve. You will be able to pace Olore easier riding one of ours than one of yours,if speed is needed. And all are war-trained,in case things should end...less than peacefully at this meeting.
"What you have heard of our horses is true. Intelligent and loyal, they will not let you fall unless you throw yourself off and will stay by your side to fight unless you order them away from you. They see at night and will sense danger even before their riders sometimes. The bond between elf-horse and rider is deep and lasting. Never do we part with them." Briefly, the elf's solemn mien relaxed into a slight smile. "It seems to me that I had a similar conversation with the human king known as Oron the Wolf some years ago. But enough. Let us find you a mount. One of the unbonded would be best. Come."
Authion scanned the stalls holding the elven mounts with an expert eye,then-after firmly bidding Mornaur to stay-beckoned Kotaro down the aisle with him. Stopping at a stall perhaps halfway down, the elf entered and led out the dark-brown stallion within. "Here Kotaro. Thalon will watch over you well." The elf-horse pulled back anxiously at first;nostrils flaring at the unfamiliar scent of a mortal and ears lacing back but after Authion whispered to him in the elven-tongue he calmed and allowed Kotaro to handle him and pat his nose and neck.
The elven-knight went to gather the tack and helped Kotaro ready the stallion;explaining to the warrior he needed only light, but firm cues and no bit-even going so far to teach Kotaro some of the basic commands the elves used. "Just in case he ignores your signals. Treat him well and respectfully though, and he will do what you ask. He has been well-trained and should serve you well." As Authion and Kotaro walked out of the stable- followed by the two elven-horses-the elf immedientaly glanced to the sun first of all things. "And now we wait for my lady and Lord Denendir. And Olore also, let us not forget."

Storm walked to his room from heavy training. He had been working on his ninjitsu with the other shinobi for a few days now without really resting except when he needed too. Walking to his room for a decent nights sleep and looked out his window and saw the queen and a few other individuals he recognized and decided to go down and see what was going on.
"Hm. Perhaps this would be good to test my new skills I've been learning."
Slowly Storm starts his decent from the 3rd story of the kyuden and slowly makes progress. After a 15 minutes, realizing that the fall wouldn't kill him or injure him greatly besides the shock, he lets go and lands behind Denedir and springing back onto his feet.
"Greetings your majesty," Storm walks up to Elestirne and kisses her hand "what business have I missed during my training?"
Storm looks up and turns around to face Denedir. With a hand out he says, "I am Fuuma Akaruri Arashi, also known as Storm Brightblade in the common tounge of Mittelmarch, Samurai of the Tou Fuu Shogunate. I do not believe we have met, pray tell who are you friend? I hope the people here have been treating you fairly."

thank you. first i would like to address our connection. i assume you know the extent of this even though the others may not. also because of our attachment to magick this may be more powerful between us or any one else who was present for my oath by my true name. I ask if you will explain this to the lady but no one else at this time. I trust that you and her will be wise in our use, my brother and which i will get to later.please i beg of you to do it in a way where she is not taxed by the fact of controlling another for i am willing to serve. the connection we have is subversive on my end. meaning you can contact me at greater distances than normal, this may be true for all whom i am attached to now but only to the extent of their own power. I can in no way overthrow anyone else's mind outside of the usual detested ways, i do not practice outside of defense. now what i tell you is a thing difficult to explain. i am wolf blade and my brother is Barzuln. my demonic half is my brother and me maddened by our natural power. with each madness we gain more control of our power but it is not something taken lightly. it takes both of us to restrain it as it is. It cannot kill us and i think this is the only reason we survive that insanity.i have often wondered why my to her components have not materialized a sentient personage. it is most likely the power that separates us and that once we master it we will become one full being.but for now there is me and him. as for a bloodmage you must consider it as a natural occurrence in my case for it is nothing else. its true i can violate others and take what i need to gain power but it is not in my nature and there are rules. i only take blood from willing people, i am not the Homicidal scum who mass murder to become blood mages and supplement their power nor the naturals who would lower themselves even to simply drinking blood from who ever or whatever. neither i nor my brother are evil per say but we have a stigma we must contend with. which brings me to my final point if your power is true as is mine then we can adversely effect the others if our wills contest. I ask only three things if you follow them is your decision to make.please do not turn me on my brother or what i am . please do not force me to drink any blood not given willingly . and if you want to resurrect any person i can but they will gain traits of mine which selection i cannot control so make sure their life is necessary. it may sound cruel but to see a friend suffer from blood lust is much different than one who's hair becomes brown. i have one more favor if i cannot destroy any large sums of my blood for any reason please destroy it. it is too dangerous to fall in the wrong hands for it is magickal in nature.

A warm fire pierces the night as it warms the nearby wagon. Two men sit leaning against a log, they are specially trained Jovian guards, but their armor is hidden by the layers they wear for warmth and discretion. The other stirs a stew warming in a kettle that hangs over the fire. One guard, “Dear Jupiter, is it done yet?”
“No, the potatoes are still hard.”
Telemachus watches the men. He appreciates their simplicity. They are men of honor and duty. They aren’t evil and mindless like the orcs who once served him. They have purpose. They work for a better world and he wonders if he were their Emperor, would they follow him? For the first time in his life, he doesn’t know what to do. If he lets Thrawn leave, Shatar will surely stay. He sits ready to take Mittelmarch, he has the men to do it. If he allows Thrawn to assume Shatar is keeping the Azoth gate from him, it may cause a civil war. Shatar could be the next emperor. Perhaps Elestirne will have the answer. His rambling thought evaporates and he buries himself into his book and waits for Elestirne.
“Hey it’s done, mmm perfect!”

"By way of telling you of the lifting your spirit, you seemed to just now felt through your body. I felt something when you yourself shivered. So I thought there might be something i could do to better understand how you felt and maybe there was something i could do to help you.", Denendir said with a slight tinge or worry in his voice.
Waiting a few minutes to go by, Denendir turned around as a slight breeze hit the back of his neck.
"Tidings to you, I am Lord Denendir. Might I say that was a nice fall you had just now, with such ease and precision as well."

Olore's sculpted ears flicked back and forth as Wolfblade spoke and though they laced flat to his skull once or twice, the stallion's stride did not falter. When Wolfblade had finished speaking, the silver stallion answered;his tone carefully nuetral.
It is never wise to assume. I might indeed relay your words to the queen and can council her but it is for her to decide what to do with this information. But she will likely find the idea of controlling one who has no choice but to obey abhorrent-whether or not you are willing. As for contact...I could do so from near any distance and with as much ease as thought.
The stallion snorted softly as he rounded the corner of the kyuden and started unerringly to the stables. What you say is interesting but it is deeds which count more so than words one-called-Wolfblade. You yourself may not be of evil ilk-and that may be because of your mother's blood-but one can never be too cautious. Especially of strangers. And your father's blood makes it right to be wary of you. Blood-mages generally cultivate wariness as it is, and demons and the good races have a history of not getting along. It is not yours to know, but the Lady Elestirne has faced demons before. As have I. We have due reason to be wary. As for my power,do not think to compare with yours. I am not of this world, and am not bound by its rules.
As for the first three things you ask...not a one of them would I nor the queen ever contemplate. Do not ask such a thing again. As to your request,I will make no promises or oaths, but if such a thing did ever fall into mine or the Lady Elestirne's possession it will be...properly dealt with. Now leave me be blood-mage. We set out for the meeting with the sorceror soon. I cannot afford to be distracted. Closing his mind-and the contact-off,the silver stallion trotted up to the stable, where he saw Kotaro and Authion waiting. The latter was looking worriedly at the sun. Olore snorted.
My lady and Denendir will come soon and you cannot slow the sun even if you wished, the stallion noted. He looked over the stallion the elven-knight had chosen for Kotaro to ride, and nodded faintly. Well chosen Authion. Thalon will be a good mount for you Kotaro. He is calm and steady, and no novice to battle. Olore looked at Authion and snorted lightly. I request that you ready me knight-commander, and that you ready and bring out Denendir's mare as well. That way, when my lady and he join us we may set straight out and not waste more time-which I know you are concerned about.
Authion bowed his head respectfully-almost reverently. "Of course honored one. Please wait." To Kotaro he said. "I will return soon." In only a few moments he was back, leading Denendir's mare-fully tacked-on a loose rein;with Olore's tack slung over shoulder and under arm. Dropping the mare's reins he approached Olore respectfully and the silver stallion stood patiently as the elf-lord put on the bitless bridle, light saddle and saddle skirt and breasplate with the personal crest of Elestirne and royal symbol of Artanor worked in silver on both. Olore's starry blue eyes were fixed on the way he had come, but he did give Authion a slight nod of thanks as the elf again took up the mare's reins and returned to waiting with Kotaro and the two elf-horses.

Elestirne stopped and paused at Denendir's response. At some point while she had been speaking she had led him out into the garden, perhaps in an unconsious desire to escape the walls of the castle and be out in the free air. She studied a tree for a moment before returning her silver eyes to him;her look strangely intent and searching. "As a druid lord you might have a touch of empathy-even if it is nowhere near as strong as my ability-and it might have been that to allow you to sense my discomfort at sensing your distress. As for what you can do.."she shook her head slightly. "I know not. My trouble chiefly stems from this business with Telemachus and his contacts of me. Once the meeting is over and it is discovered what he wants of me/had to say...my heart might rest easier. So to,might I sleep easier. But that might be too much to wish or hope for." Elestirne's silver eyes flickered, dimmed. She glanced to the sun and her eyes narrowed, turned worried.
"Come Lord Denendir. It is high time we rejoin the others and set out for the meeting. Olore will come searching us else and I do not care for the indignity of that." She noted his worry and thought also that she saw curiousity, carefully concealed.
So,perhaps he is curious for what I said of being an empath/having empathic healing abilities but hesitates to ask? It seems likely. And there is not time now to speak of how I met Kotaro and Tatsumura, nor to tell him what he might wish to know of my family. Perhaps though he realizes that and will ask later. But there is no time to think of it now.
The elven-queen started to turn ,but then paused;tensing ever so slightly. Her hands eased ever so slightly towards the swords girt around her slender waist. But just as quickly she relaxed;recognizing the feel of the one attempting to sneak up on her and Denendir. She turned to see Storm;her eyes holding relief. The mortal warrior came up, bowed, then hugged her. Elestirne though caught off-guard and slightly startled that he would be so familiar with her in the company of a stranger, returned the embrace readily,if not as warmly as she might otherwise have done. She knew he sensed this and sensed too,her slight tensing at the embrace. Her vioice was troubled as she spoke.
"Otorno...why did you not answer Olore's calls? Or were you so caught in your training that they could not penetrate your concentration?" Briefly, she turned to Denendir. "Lord Denendir of Kanthea, this man is Storm-more often called Akaruri now-warrior of the Shogunate, the ambassador between my realm and Mittelmarch, and my vassal. I call him my sworn-brother,my bond-brother and count him almost as family but that is far too long of a tale to recount here and now so please press me not for it. Other things must be attended to."
She turned back to Storm. " Yes otorno. Much has happened today. After you left the meeting this morn Olore and I went riding in the surrounding countryside beyond the walls-both to find some enjoyment and to escape the feeling of confinement and because Olore had sensed something. Shortly after we chanced upon the Lord Denendir and I quickly realized him that he was a friend of Mittelmarch." She gave the elf-lord a side-long glance. "He had sensed Olore from his realm and had come searching. He also..had had a vision of I,and Olore, confronting Telemachus so he came to offer what help he could."
Her lovely voice darkened, the brilliance of her eyes dimming. "As Denendir was accompanying Olore and I back to the kyuden-for we were wary of staying out too long, lest it prompt Tatsumura or Kotaro to seek us out-I was contacted again by Telemachus. This time,he reached me mind to mine-a thing he should not have been able to do." There was a readily percievable tensing at that,a faint shudder. The elven-queen continued, her tone grown somewhat grim. "He has changed the meeting to this very night instead of tomorrow eve. And since he was able to contact me in such a...personal manner, and since Olore is able to sense him quite clearly I will guess that he is relatively nearby-perhaps no further than a few hours from the kyuden. We set out very soon to keep the tryst Storm.
Telemachus is allowing me an escort-'guards' in other terms. Because Olore could not contact you or Tatsumura-or you, somehow, did not recieve his calls-I have selected Authion, Kotaro and Lord Denendir to ride with me to the meeting. Olore will keep Tatsumura informed of what occurs but I would like you also to ride with me my brother. You must hurry though,to ready your horse-for I have no doubt that Olore, Authion and Kotaro already await us at the stables, and we will not wait to set out when rejoining them." Glancing to the sun,her troubled look deepened. "Come." Swiftly, she led them both along the garden paths to the stable. Authion's swiftly concealed look of relief spoke volumes, and he nodded to Storm and Denendir;handing the elf-lord his mare's reins with a faint bow before leaping astride Mornaur in a movement of practiced ease. Elestirne mounted Olore with graceful ease and, as she waited for Denendir to mount and Storm to decide what he would do, she noted that Kotaro's steed was one of the elves' spare war-horses. Authion's doing no doubt. And no doubt it had been he to tack Olore and ready Denendir's mare. She nodded slightly,approvingly-and that approval increased as she noted that,in addition to being armed, both were armoured to some degree. She had her swords and Denendir his sword and druidic magic. And though she could not speak for the elf-lord's mare, the stallions were all war-trained and accustomed to combat. If the meeting ended badly-and she hoped it did not-they would not be taken off-guard and would be able to defend themselves.
I regret this is so long but I wanted to tie everyone back together. My next post will cover us arriving at the meeting an I should get that in later tonight, after I fionish seeing to some things I need to.

we better not be in a box we've been in far worse yes but i am not luggage but you are, i have to carry you every were i go why don't we just follow them? we need someone to trust us its not the same as home were we are their lords and they owe us their honor! just because of the way we are born! they have no right! they don't know us at all! I say we prove to them that we can be useful besides whoring ourselves to them! your right they do not know us, so they have no reason to trust us. yet they will let us prove our selves in time. as for whoring, i was tiring to be kind and help any way i could think of. yeah probably because of that elf lady... why do you like her so? is it our mother that makes you feel this way? and that Olore from another plane oooOOOoooo! like thats a new one for us. we could just leave and make that tree thinggy tell us what we want to know i know knot. and no we are not doing any such thing to Iron Bough. as for this Olore He Is Not To Be Mocked. if anything he has as much pride and honor as we do. so do not lessen ours in an attempt to lessen his in such a pathetic manner. sorry its just that I'm bored. all this talking and no fighting! have you forgotten why we are here? To kill simply to Kill so why run from it? yes to kill our father not innocent people! Maby this Telmascus if he gets too violent for every ones taste. I said nothing about innocent people! Besides they always run and cry when they see a weapon. oh please don't kill us we have children to take care of......sound familiar what our step daddy said before he got it the daddy dearest did mommy because she fought back? I say we go around and find every piece of filth a let them know how it feels to be a victim. what do say like old times. vengeance is due, but not on those who did not commit the crime we seek retribution for, or would you have others punish us for what all other demons have done?as for our father we need Azoths gate to get to the demonic realm and take his power from him. for that we need allies that trust us not fear us. I am tiered of being the bad guy because i am the demon. if they want to treat me as such then why not act like it. It hurts you know it. I just want every one to know the pain they cause us for once. anyone else who is honest is praised, we are shunned. I'm sick of it! we are good right? then why must we be the evil ones all the time? i know it hurts...but we mustn't go and do what they expect of a demon. which even if we slay every evil in this land we would still be killers to every one else. for now being good means staying here until we are needed..... my brother i know how much all this has upset you.. But there is nothing we can do. they simply want to see if we can be good. why you get these ideas about such violence being the answer i do not know. I'm blowing of steam its not like wed do anything like it any way. so we wait until they need us? yes we mustn't even watch them. like oh scrying them maby?just to see if they are okay? and risk their safety....No we cannot. we must calm our discontent if we are to be making any friends and just do as we are asked do think we have any family here? i mean... can any of them be? no i think not. but we can hope for trust and then friendship.....we may never have a family that loves us

Storm turned and followed the two elves towards the stables.
"Yes my lady, I would gladly accompany you and I will set up a perimeter with shinobi to make sure that no one is hurt or that a signal can get to Tatsamura-dono faster if things get nasty. I could not hear Olore's call because the shinobi have you block your mind of other's thoughts and at the time I was trying to keep my instructors out of my head and couldn't concentrate on others around me, both spiritually and physically. If you allow me to get my things I will be ready in just a moment."
With that Storm dashed off. Up the stairs he was and nearly ran into a couple of servants on the way but he was in a hurry. He ran into his room. Just the same as usual though someone graciously lit incense to give his room a sweet scent. Almost like cherry blossom. He hurriedly put on his armor with the help of a nearby servant, grabbed Brightblade, his dragonlance, and his katana and walked down stairs. This was the first time that Elestirne had seen Storm in his new armor and was a little surprised at it. Though it looked odd, Storm had constructed it out of his own mind. He mixed the two armors into one and tried to give him the best qualities of both. The chest was clearly the plate flaud that he wore from when he was a knight of the Legion of Steel. He made some modifications to it as well showing the Fuuma-mon behind but larger around the starjewel to signify that he held allegiances to both. It's Star Jewel Emblem shone brightly that day for some reason. The vambraces, gauntlets, and the greaves were also from the knight armor. While the sode (shoulder armor), kusazari (thigh armor), and hooate (neck armor) were of the new samurai origin he had adapted. He walked down the steps slowly, dragonlance in one hand and the other on the pommel of brightblade. The piece that he was proudest of was his helmet. It was the Legionnaire helmest but Storm added a visor onto it and when pulled down, made the face of a oriental dragon grinning its teeth, ready to strike.
He pulled the visor up and smiled at the two.
"Well Oselle? What do you think?"

Seeing that Faux had been bit fixed up to be moved about, Denendir saw that something he thought others could see was obviously not seen by them. A thin smile slid into Denendir's face as he thought to himself. Faux had no need for armor.
"Thank you, to whom saddled up Faux for me.", Denendir said with a smile.
Denendir went over to Faux and nuzzled into her neck while speaking in Espruar, an Old Elven Dialect, simply imploring to give him strength and the mother earth bade him safe passage to help her. He glanced at everyone else and figured it was time. With a quick nod to his companions he simply glided onto Faux's back as she started to gallop forward.

Kotaro looked his vassal up and down. "Interesting combinations," he said finally. "But we're not going to war. At least, I hope not. All the same, perhaps it would best if you shed some of that armor." He gestured to his own light armor, little more than a simple leather chestpiece and bracers. "However, we are already pressed for time, so for now it will have to do."
He turned to Elestirne. "My lady, If I may be so bold, I believe that we should take a lateral line formation, with you and Olore taking point, perhaps a horse-length ahead. Authion and I could to your right and Akaruri-kun and Denendir to your left. This will communicate openness, while at the same time keeping a defensible formation."

Storm walked over and saddled his horse. When he fastened the last strap he situated himself on the horse and turned towards everyone else.
"I would rather be over prepared and not ambushed then to have little and fight the hordes," Storm said to his daimyo, "who do we wait for now and how far is the meeting place?"

Elestirne took in Storm's armour with clear surprise on her troubled face. Whatever she might have expected was nothing to what he had come up with. The inventiveness of mortals. Always trying new things... Shaking her head just a little, she gathered her voice just enough to respond.
"Otorno...this is a meeting we ride to, not a war." Her melodic voice held faint-but clear-reproof. "However, there is not the time to debate it. I doubt there will be hordes for you to fight but I appreciate you wanting to be prepared. Even if it might be called over-prepared. But better over-prepared than not at all." Her keen eyes noted that he wore the symbol of Artanor beneath his armour, and her personal crest as well. A reminder of his loyalties to both me and Artanor and,her gaze slid to Kotaro, Tatsumura and the Shogunate. We both have claim on him,and he is both my vassal and Kotaro's. I hope his being in full armour does nothing to upset the meeting, and that he does nothing rash.
Trust him, Olore reassured. He will listen to you and Kotaro. The silver stallion, pawed lightly at the ground;staring towards the gates and what lay beyond. Let us be off. We waste time here we cannot afford.
Elestirne nodded faintly, then looked to the others. "It was Authion who readied your Faux I would guess Denendir. You have him to thank." She noted him murmuring in elven to the mare,though-since his dialect was somewhat different from her's- she could not understand all that was said. She turned to Kotaro now as he spoke. "Boldness friend? It is not bold to offer a suggestion Kotaro." Upon considering his words, picturing the formation in her mind and how they would appear to Telemachus, she nodded in satisfaction. "A good idea. Let Telemachus see all of us openly. I do not look forward to this meeting,"the faintest of shudders rippled her slender frame, "but nor do I fear it."
For a brief moment, she turned back to Storm. "To answer your questions otorno we wait for nothing now that you are here. As for how far the meeting place...we will learn. No more than a few hours swift canter I would guess. To be able to contact me mind-to-mind Telemachus would have had to be relatively nearby-and determined. I had my mind well-shielded." She felt rather than saw Authion's hand tighten around his sword;the knuckles whitening at the mention of the sorceror. She could only shake her head faintly. What will he do when he actually comes before Telemachus and sees just what the sorceror is? How will he react, and will I be able to keep him from attacking the sorceror on sight?
If you cannot I and Kotaro will lady. However you are his Queen and he is bound by his oath to serve, protect and obey you. Worry about it when it comes time to however, not before. As the others gathered into the formation Kotaro had suggested,Olore gathered himself and sprang away instantly into a canter. Mournaur and Thalon were only a split second behind in following-without Authion and Kotaro's cues. Denendir and Storm's mounts sprang into motion the same moment.
As they passed through the gates,Olore immediently swung away-straight as a compass-towards where a tiny pinprick of light showed. A fire, the stallion imparted generally to all. He has settled in then. Of course-he knows we will come. Or at least-that I and Elestirne will come. I don't know if he actually expected you would take his offer and bring an escort my lady.
"We will find out,"Elestirne answered nuetrally. The company spoke little else until about an hour and a half later, where Olore suddenly started to slow. The pinprick had grown much larger. We are perhaps a half-hour away, the stallion said,in explanation. I would rather approach with dignity,at a slower speed. He snorted, tossing his head;mane shimmering silver even in the new-fallen darkness. And before you ask Authion knight-commander, no he cannot be trusted and yes you should be on your guard. But he is the one that set this meeting and there is no reason why we cannot at least pretend to be civil. For your Queen, you will do this-no matter what you personally think. He might have useful information.
Authion bowed his head. "As you say honored Olore.",he answered with some reluctance.
A short time later the group stepped lightly and silently into the light of the small fire,Elestirne and Olore at the forefront; the elven-queen with her hood thrown back and crown glittering in the firelight. Her silver eyes too, glittered faintly, and Olore's starry indigo eyes and silver coat shone and shimmered faintly with their own light. As the others stepped forward at Olore's flanks the stallion moved forward an extra half-pace as Elestirne called out;sitting tall and straight in the saddle. "Telemachus." Her musical voice, soft and lilting like a waterfall, rang out clear and commandingly;steady and unafraid.

Storm smirked little when he heard Olore's words.
Storm took a glance at Olore and said, 'I take it the same goes for me then Olore? Very well, I'll be on my best behavior. Do not be shocked. Just one of the things I picked up in training. '
Storm faced forward when he heard the lady say his name. It had been so long since he last saw the sorcerer and tensed at the lady calling for him like he was a pet. Storm straightened up and pulled his visor down, trying to hide his disgust.

As if plucked from a harp…
“Telemachus.”
A name surrounded by death, yet pronounced with such harmony. The voice and the name defined irony. As if dropped from the heavens the small party arrives. Their presence nearly concealed by magic. This caught the Jovian guard by surprise. Two of them startled, they grab the handle of their blades. The third, must’ve been the commander, although stirred he remained at ease.
“Hold men, these are our visitors.”
One guard’s eyes froze on Elesterne. He didn’t sense his jaw beginning to drop. The other elbowed him in the rib.
He whispered, “Hey, look at the one, he looks like a pendant I bought my wife.” They share a quick chuckle.
The commander spoke with pride and respect, “Welcome Lady, Queen Elestirne.” He bowed. The other men followed his lead.
The wagon door opened, “Welcome! I apologize for our current setting, but these are troublesome times. As always it seems.”
A long-white haired elf flowed out of the wagon. His dark cloak followed him. A smile on his face, he has missed the queen, though his pride would never let him admit how much. He regrets their last encounter. He would never admit that either. He scans Elestirne’s guard, “I am glad you arrived with no difficulty. Surely your guards are thirsty. “
Telemachus looks to the commander, “Indeed join us at the fire men.”
His begging eyes turn to Elestirne, “Milady if you wouldn’t mind joining me in the wagon for a private discussion?”

Looking from one guard to the next, Denendir scanned them. Seeing what all was before him, he thought to himself for a moment before dismounting Faux.
Faux, go ahead and find a place to feed upon. If I am in trouble, you no doubt will know it., Denendir mindspoke.
Looking to his other companions he gave a quick nod of approval. With no weapons nor armor, Denendir stood awaiting Lady Elestirne to make up her mind what she was going to do.

Kotaro watched Telemachus' guards, sizing each of them up in an instant. If it came down to it, Elestirne's group could easily overpower the three guards. The two guards were jumpy, tense. The commander obviously had much more experience, he was calmer, likely more disciplined. He dismounted Thalon and patted his neck. "Thank you," he said softly to the elven steed. Facing the guards, he rested his wrist on his katana's grip, a casual stance that nonetheless carried an undercurrent of readiness.

Storm followed his daimyo's lead and dismounted. He lead his horse to a nearby tree and pulled the feeding bag and feed out. He put the bag over his horse's head and tied it to the tree and pulled out a waterskin. Storm then walked over to sit next to his daimyo at the fire.
He sat down and rearranged himself to sit in his heavy armor. Then with a sigh he took off his helmet and took a glance at his daimyo and tried to mindspeak.
' I do not like this Fuuma-dono. There's just some odd feeling I am getting from being here. Perhaps its just having not been in the presence of Telemachus since the first encounter. I also do not appreciate the guard dishonoring my star jewel, but we are not here for a fight so I will keep it to myself. How long do you think this meeting will last?
With that he looked at the other guards and smiled.
"So my fellow men, tell me how you came to join your empire and what can you tell me of it?"

Elestirne remained calm and unmoved on Olore even when two of the guards startled and slid their hands to the hilts of the sword. The third, she noted with interest, did not do so-though he was surely every bit as startled as the others. Telemachus must have told him to expect company-if 'company' is truly the right word...
Unconsiously sensing a tensing behind her, the elven-queen raised one hand ever so slightly in reassurance at the same time the leader reprimanded his men. Without needing to look, she sensed Denendir,Kotaro and Storm all dismount. Just as easily, she could feel the seething turmoil of emotions bubbling from Authion-not only at the guards immediete offensive actions-but at seeing Telemachus's plainly elven heritage. Inwardly, she winced with discomfort at the intensity of the emotions-though nothing changed in her outward bearing. Her mind-voice-made audible only to him-was as calm as ever but carried a distinct crackling tone of command and brooked no question. Authion. Dismount. A note of pain underscored her tone.
There was a wave of chagrin-beneath which the anger still simmered-and the regret-tinged response. I apoligize My Queen-I did not mean to cause you pain. Some of the hardness returned. But he...he... My lady-queen...
I know what he is Authion. Dismount. With some relief, she sensed him do so obedientally-if reluctantly and slowly. She sensed too, that his hand rested ready on the hilt of his sword and could almost feel his hard gaze boring into Telemachus. She could not blame him.
Besides dark elves and the undead, few things were as abhorrent to the elven-people than fallen elves;those that turned their back on their kind and all it meant to be elf, and embraced dark things or powers. Besides that, Telmachus had captured and held her, even tried to tempt her to his side. Authion would never forget-or forgive-that act. But,to his credit,he was not outright trying to attack the sorcerer-either because of what Olore said, because of her or the fact that both Telemachus had not done anything threatening yet and that the elf-knight realized he was no match for the sorcerer. All might have been true. But she did not know and would not waste the thought on it now.
Though she kept her piercing silver eyes fixed on the wagon, she noted the respectful bows that the three guards offered, and that the commander called her by name and title. Telemachus must have told him that as well... The way one of the guards looked at her,jaw almost dropping-until elbowed sharply in the ribs by the other-did not escape her. Nor that one's whispered words. What he could have meant she was not certain, but she spared it no thought.
As Telemachus emerged from the wagon and approached with a smile-his stark white hair and dark cloak billowing behind him-Elestirne held her seat firmly. When Telemachus had approached far enough,Olore's sculpted ears went half-back in clear warning. The silver stallion pawed lightly at the ground to emphasize the point;muscles rippling all through his frame as he tensed. The silver stallion's indigo eyes-their depths seeming to swirl with stars-fixed unwavering and unblinking on the sorcerer.
His voice, when it rang out, audible even to the Jovians-which caused them to startle still more-was deeply majestic and solemn;tinged with the faintest of edges. His words were adressed to Telemachus, and Elestirne remembered that Olore had never spoken to the sorcerer their first two meetings three years ago. She started to question doing so now, but he touched her mind gently, with firm reassurance that he must do this, to let the sorcerer know some of what he was dealing with.
No further dark one. What was done I have not forgotten. Olore's eyes flared just slightly.
Elestirne lay a gentle hand on the stallion's withers and some of the tension went out of the arched neck. Never taking her eyes from Telemachus, she dismounted at last in a fluidly graceful motion. Her fair face was carefully unreadable, expressionless. Her startlingly bright silver eyes were veiled, but there was a subtle flicker in their depths.
Unafraid, she faced the sorcerer squarely;her bearing regal and dignified, stance tall and straight. The moonstone set in the center of her woven silver crown glimmered faintly, and silver shimmers rippled through her hair as she tilted her head just slightly. Her silver-blue dress seemed to glimmer as well-the hems showing more silver than blue. Olore beside her shone with his usual, subtle silver radiance;his silvery-white mane and tail seeming to be faintly dusted with stars. The elven-queen looked at Telemachus steadily for a long moment and when she at last spoke her lovely voice-though chiming with all its usual lilting harmony-held a subtle undercurrent of discordant sharpness. "Nor have I." Her silver eyes flickered briefly. "Not 'guards' Telemachus,"she corrected. " 'Friends'. They chose to come. As to your offer-no. Not in the wagon. We will speak here, beneath the free sky and stars. If you wish not to be overheard, then we can remove a short distance from your guards and my companions. But we will not talk where we cannot be seen. You are the one that contacted me and set the meeting-and changed it-not the reverse. I reserve the right to set terms. We will speak in the open air,or not at all.”
With gliding steps, she flowed past him and came to a halt on the edges of the camp-still in sight of everyone, but removed enough for a private discussion. Olore followed-the single look he gave Telemachus daring the sorcerer to tell him he did not have the right to. Waiting serenely, Elestirne raised one raven eyebrow;her night-dark hair continuously shimmering with silver as the moonlight glanced off it.
