Hail Kingdom of Pentwyvern, friends and allies. His Royal Majesty King Oron the Wolf has commanded that a great feast be held in honor of this year’s bountiful harvest. The cold north winds have begun blow, heralding out the season of war, and in the time of harvest and bounty. The war ships are in their sheds, the gold and silver from many successful raids counted, larders have been filled to overflowing. Tis time to celebrate in proper fashion. So please come and join friends and allies in a weekend of grand celebration of the season with fighting and feasting to fill your hearts and bellies to bursting.
The day has been set for Saturday, November 8th for battles, tourneys, feasting and revelry around the bonfire. Lord Sir Richter has chosen a number of battles and tourneys to test your mettle. Fighting in field and forest. Bardic competition, best table setting, and best garb awards, as well. So dress yourself in the colors of the season, red, gold, orange and yellow. Bring your best feast gear and a better tale or song to entertain the masses. Competition in the Bardic tourney has always been tough, and this year will likely be only tougher, so bring your best and be ready to show it off.
Feast Masters and Mistresses have already begun to make preparations for this feast ( so bring your appetite, yopu are going to need it…). So come one come all and support your realm, and chapter. See friends you have not seen in ages, and make new ones you shall never forget. Attendance is expected to be very high this year for feast, so register early to ensure room for you in the great hall. This feast will likely be the last great bash of the year, so do not get caught sitting at home, wishing that you had made it to this event.
This feast will again be held at the Brooklyn Exchange Cabin, 2400 State Road, in Hinckley Ohio. We have reserved the hall for the entire weekend from Friday afternoon (4pm) till Sunday afternoon (2pm). The cabin is heated, spacious and has plenty of crash space (bunk beds without mattresses, and plenty of floor space), and for those who wish, there is plenty of camping space available as well.
For those that survive the weekend with their appetites intact, there will be breakfast available on Sunday morning. There will be time for some pick-up fighting for those who have just not gotten it out of their systems yet…
All of this, a weekend of feasting and fun can be yours for mere $20 (overnight camping / feast included). Children 6 to 12 years old will be $7.50, and children under 6 are free. For those that cannot stay for feast and revelry, a day charge of $5 for just fighting is also offered. If you wish to preregister, the cost of the weekend event shall be $17.50. I shall be attempting to set up a Pay pal link, or you can mail personal checks to Bill Ludwig 4259 Danberry Drive, North Olmsted OH 44070. Please include mundane name as well as persona name with all personal checks.
The Kingdom of Pentwyvern and Einherjar will also be accepting donations of canned foods and dry goods that will be donated to the Cleveland Food Bank. A donation of 2 cans or 1-boxed item will save you $1 off of your feast or battle admission., only one donation per person please.
Directions to the Hall: From the northwest (Michigan, Northern IND, Chicago, etc) take 80 east (toll road) to rt71. Take RT71 south to 303 east. You will pass through a few small townships, then turn south on State road. You will travel approximately 2 miles on this road and there will be a sign for the Brooklyn Exchange Club Cabin. There will be a large white Pentwyvern banner posted at the entrance.
From points south on RT71, take 71 north till you reach 303 east, and follow the above directions.
From Akron, take RT8 north to 303 exit and go west. Turn south on State road, and follow the above directions.
I look forward to seeing you all there in all of your fall splendor.
