Midnight came welcomingly to Kyosuke as he walked through the streets of Mittelmarch. The young scorpion smiled under his mask. 'Five months,' he thought, 'for five wretched months, I have put up with these foolish people. And now, everything is in place.' His stroll brought him to a large building, obviously military in nature. As he approached, another came to his side.
"Kyosuke-sama, everyone is in position. We are waiting on your command."
Kyosuke's grin became wider. "Very good, Soshi-san. Tell everyone to prepare." The Soshi began chanting something, though Kyosuke looked sharply to his left as the chanting occured. "It seems we have an unexpected guest."

Kyosuke grinned as he watched the shadowed figure come into view. "I take it," he said, "That you're the person that Shatar-kun sent to follow me." Kyosuke studied the person carefully, noting anything that would give him an edge against the would be spy.
The figure came into view, and Kyosuke grinned. He had seen this man several times before at the inn that he was assigned to, and already had suspicions. "General Shatar was right not to trust you, Samurai dog. I will take great pleasure in ending your life."
"It makes no difference, Guest-san." Kyosuke unsheathed his wakizashi and began walking towards his opponent, nodding to his companion. "You're too late to stop me. I may not have been able to get as far in as I would have wished, but at the very least these barracks' should burn rather nicely, don't you think? Even if no one is in them, it'll certainly be interesting to see how you cope with the loss of room for your troops."
The Jovian began to draw a dagger from his belt, and barely got it out in time to block the strike to his neck. Kyosuke reared back and grabbed the hilt of his katana, drawing it and severing his foe's right arm in a smooth motion. The man cried out in pain and fell over, with Kyosuke standing over him. "Go to your master, whoever it might be. Let them know who is responsible for these events." Kyosuke watched the man scurry off, smirking as he nodded to his subordinate one more time.
At his cue, the shugenja chanted his prayer to the kami, and they watched the barracks burst into flames. Seconds later, three more fires became apparent in the city, all Jovian structures. Kyosuke began to flee, knowing that the response to this would be swift. As he met up with the other eight who came through the mist, as they raced out of the city through the passageways his subordinates had determined upon arrival, a sense of dread cooled Kyosuke's blood. He didn't know what was going to happen next, but it couldn't be good.

As Kyosuke and his Scorpion brethren made their ways out of the city, the young samurai's sense of dread began to take fruition. As he looked back upon the city, he saw ten Jovians making chase, all equipped with spear and shield. Kyosuke stopped, and the rest of his group stopped as well.
"Kyosuke-sama, please, we must be going." A small girl, no older than 14 spoke up. Her hair was kept down and dyed silver with crimson highlights, with a mask that almost seemed to match Kyosuke's.
"You're right. Hurry up and go. I'll keep them busy."
"But..."
"No excuse, Tsisuko-san. The nine of you will be able to help Tatsumura-sama better than I. Take what information we have gathered, and give it to him. After that, swear your swords to Fuuma Kotaro-sama. I need you to do this for me, Little sister."
Tsisuko began to raise her voice in protest, but closed her mouth and nodded. As his group disappeared from sight, the ten Jovians quickly approached. Kyosuke stood in the iaijutsu stance, waiting patiently for them to attack. Only one charged him, clearly thinking he could take the single man alone and they'd be on their way. It was the last thought he would think. Kyosuke side stepped the soldier and drew his blade, severing the muscles in the unarmored area in the back of his knee. As the man fell, stunned, Kyosuke spun and struck, watching his opponents head roll on the ground. The young samurai turned and faced his enemies again. This time, his sword would stay drawn.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Tsisuko and the others made swift pace to Kyuden Tatsumura, not stopping to look back, none of them willing to give false hope that Kyosuke might survive. As they reached the castle, they were stopped by guards.
"Halt! What is your business here?"
Tsisuko stepped up and gave a proper bow, despite being out of breath. "We come from Mittelmarch, Samurai-san. We have urgent business with Tatsumura-dono. Please, let us pass."
The first guard nodded to the second, who stepped through the gates to inform Tatsumura Masamune of the new arrivals.
-------------------------------------------
Kyosuke's breath had begun to deepen. Two more Jovians layed dead, victims of their own pride. Another had tried to run past Kyosuke to catch the rest, and had received a shuriken to the back of his knee for his trouble. Still, Kyosuke knew he was in trouble. The remaining Jovians had encircled him, and it was Kyosuke's agility alone that had kept him from taking a fatal wound. The courtier charged the biggest Jovian and lept in the air, only to be met a shield to his face. The blow had knocked him out, and the man who delivered it stood over him, prepared to deal the killing blow...

(OOC) I guess this will fill in the time it took Berok and I to get to the Kyuden; and I kinda want to RP with Kyosuke.
(IC) As the Jovian swung his sword at the prone figure; a black figure streaked from the woods shouting "Blood and Steel!" Leaping at the Jovian's knees, he sent the armored soldier crashing to the ground. The two wrestled desperately, with the Jovian's remaining comrades trying to help their struggling companion. Sui's body was pale and thin from months of confinement, but his muscles fought with a strength that showed he had not neglected exercise, he wriggled through his opponent's grasp and locked his arm around the Jovian's throat. Though out of shape from months of garrison duty, the Jovian was much stronger than his teenage opponent; flipping Sui over he began to pummel him mercilessly. Pain shot through Sui as gauntleted fists battered him but he clung to the Jovian with grim determination.
The soldiers were so intent on their battle they failed to notice the lumbering half orc approaching from the woods.
"AAAAARRRRGGGG!" bellowed Berrok as he swung his makeshift club.
"AAIIIHHHHEEEEE!" screamed a jovian as he was batted high into the air.
One soldier swung his sword to block, a futile gesture in the face of the half orc's gigantic strength. Another stroke and armor cracked under the kinetic energy of the oaken club. As Berrok demolished the fleeing jovians, Sui felt his foe, thrash and then relax under his iron grip. A few minutes of fighting and the only jovians left were dead ones.
Staggering to his feet, Suihaden looked over Kyosuke.
"Definitely eastern type, though he lacks resemblance to Tat's people. I think he is alright, just unconscious."
Tearing off a strip from his tunic, Sui wetted it in a nearby stream and bathed Kyosuke's forehead while Berrok plundered the fallen.

A few hours had passed, and finally Kyosuke had begun to stir. As his eyes opened, he saw a familiar face. A prisoner from the Mittelmarch dungeon, though he certainly looked less pathetic than before. He looked over and saw another man, giant of a man at that. It did not scare him, the sight of Oni Lord Kyoso was much worse than anything that this land had shown him. With no witty repartee to pass, Kyosuke said the one thing that was truly on his mind. "I'm.....alive...."
He began to look around, curious as to the state of the area. Sure enough, the Jovians sent to kill him and his unit were all dead. The realization forced a second one. "CHI-CHAN! Is Chi-chan alright?" The young scorpion tried to get up, but found himself barely able to stand under his own power, his injuries more intense than even he realized.

Sui steadied the injured scorpion.
"Sit down friend, any enemy of the jovians is a friend of mine. Those wounds look bad, let me dress them best I can."
Helping Kyosuke sit down, Sui used his skill to the best of his ability, as he tried to stabilize the flow of blood using bandages and direct pressure. These simple and time tested methods had saved many a life, and though crude compared to the magical healing skills of others, they were effective.
"My name is Suihaden de Percy, I'm a novitiate in the hospitaller order of the Knights of St. John and I have just escaped from the dungeons of the Jovians. Over there looting the dead of their drink is Berrok. He's a half orc, and a terrible drinker. Still, he's rather harmless once he is pacified. Prithee, what is your name?"

Kyosuke stared down at his injuries, realizing that the Jovians did far more damage than he had initially though. "My name is Bayushi Kyosuke of House Rokugo, Gunso of the Scorpion Army and son of the Rokugo Vassal family daimyo. It is a pleasure. I take it that you were the ones who stopped the Jovians from sending me to Yomi, De Percy-sama?"
