I use 1 layer of marine foam on the end of all of my weapons to make them stab legal. They all passed check at rag every day. It's very durable, easy to put on, and easy to work with.

Ensolite is a technical name for the common "marine foam". I've found a good source is Therma-Seat hunting cushions. Up in the Anderson / Muncie area, Dunhams have them during the seasons. Their camo and look like pieces of toast, ~ 7 a seat but you get a ton of blue stabbies outta 1 seat.

1. Go to Dick's Sporting goods. 2. Look (usually) near the entrances for ~1 inch thick foam cushions that are roughly square shape with a grab handle cut out. They are around 8 dollars a piece. 3. ? 4. Profit In more seriousness, using duct tape in any way on a weapon is silly. Use Strapping tape on flats and cloth tape on blade edges if you really need that tape. My two cents, ~Frothy

First store I went to I found the seat cushion thing you guys are talking about. BAM easy. I then proceeded to hit up 2 walmarts, dicks, another sporting goods store and everything inbetween. NO BLUE FOAM. W T F.
Anyone know a good untapped source for blue foam? Also im in lafayette, we gotta lot of stuff but prolly not as good an inventory as indy.

Pretty sure blue foam is a Wal-Mart exclusive item. They've got us by the balls there...

Went yesterday and they had restocked, got two fresh rolls. Going to start on a pair of golf core swords today. Hopefully will be ready to fight with this weekend, or next tuesday.

Ensolite can also be found in garden kneeling pads (not knee pads, mind you). They should feel like a relatively tough marshmallow.
I also put an inch of open cell over the ensolite if possible, as the latter tends to get mean in the cold.

garden knee pads can also be EVA foam... there was an article on it on the national forums from what alric of drentha said EVA foam never has vinyl on it and ensolite normally does... figured i'd let ya know
