Honestly, it's something I've really thought about. Everyone's got their own ideas in dag, and everyone's always fighting for different reasons. Why not ask yourself this question, "Why am I a dag fighter, and what are my reasons?" I, personally have to say I'm a Dag fighter because I enjoy it for the simple parts, fighting with people for the fun of it, the simple joy of crafting weapons to use, either myself or by others, and camping out and enjoying comradeship with people that have the same interests. There's probably more reasons, but those really stick out first. Friend of mine, Bonecrusher, who passed away was a dag fighter, never would have been the best fighter because of his weight, but that didn't matter to him. He still loved dag because it was fun, and let him socialize with people, and gave him access to a lot of friends. Again, truly the "small" things in dag is what attracted him towards it. Honestly, lets see why everyone else fights as well, post your reasons if you're up for it.

I enjoy building the weapons, beating the living hell out of dear friends, the opportunity to escape the mundanity of real life, and the (relative) lack of judgeyness in Dag.

Dag is a way for me to enjoy exercise and to meet new people. I enjoy the fighting, even though I'm not a hardcore fighter. I also enjoy meeting new people who enjoy the same stuff I do and relaxing with my friends.
I also enjoy the creative aspect of Dag too. I build my own weapons cause it is fun and they are made the way I want them to be made.
I also l enjoy Dag, because it allows you to discover new stuff about yourself. I love to sleep outside in a tent, and I would never have even thought of doing that if I wasn't a part of Dag.

I like how I don't have to pretend to be someone else. I can just be me, do what I want, how I want and as hard or easy I want. Its very rare you meet even 2 people in the 'dane law that you'll wind up being good friends with. Because of Dag I now have more friends than fingers, not the other way around

All excellent points. I always get asked, "Do you know all those friends on FB?" From Mundane friends. I'm like yeah...some more than others of course. There's a camaraderie you don't get in the normal walk of life. Friendships that last forever. And I've missed it as of late due to real life responsibilities, but things are calming down and I'm jumping back in.
Missing Rag was like missing Family Christmas. Really sucked!
Anywho, love The Foam World!
