Can someone please post a picture of their flail and a close up on the "chain" I don't exactly understand the foam rings. The guide doesn't give specifications for them.

Fastest rings: pipe insulation tubes. Snip to desired height, glue / tape whatever the ends together, AFTER putting it around the "chain". It'll need repeated often due to damage but pretty cheap / fast / easy way to do it.

Usually closed cell foam. I use strips of scrap blue foam. Take a rectangular strip around an inch wide, wrap it around the 'chain' area and go around that with some grip tape. Fill up most of the 'chain' area. Done. And here's a picture I found on the internet by using Google image search and the keywords 'Dagorhir Flail'.
