I have been told before that it is never too early to start to plan for Ragnarok. I am excited because as long as nothing horribly wrong happens then I should be able to go. I just have a few questions, how much money should I set aside for random stuff. Also I am wondering if anyone is carpooling and how that would work. Also how many sets of garb should I bring, I am currently making a legit tunic, and pants. And I have two min-garb tunics and no shoes as of yet. Also how does the food situation work, I saw rumors on the national boards of meal plans, but I don't know if the realm has some sort of food plan that they normally do because I have heard of others doing so. I am going to the O's and hopefully should learn better how the whole Dag+Camping=____ equation works out, I have camped many times with Boy Scouts so I do not think that it should be a problem.

Mittelmarch camps by units not as a realm so phoenix will have our own camp don't pre-reg until we have discussed this more on our unit forums....
Ragnarok has a meal plan if you want but its quite expensive I plan on cooking most of my meals myself.....
Seven garb sets would be ideal but there is a washer and dryer on site you can use...
Carpooling wise your probably on your own. My car will be full of camping stuff lol....

Haha, you won't miss anything by going Sunday.. Saturday is mainly for setting up camp barriers and for camp masters to get acquainted with their site. Be warned that the closest... anything is a solid 20 minute drive into town besides a pilot gas station.

Yeh I planned on hitting the grocery store coming into Pennsylvania just so it will be less clutter on the way there and we will only have to deal with it for 20-40 mins instead of the whole 6-7 hrs Thanks!

Me and my father are pre-regged. He is helping me get there, and is going to take pictures, and a few days me and him are going to hang out outside the realm of dagorhir. Can't wait!

Here is a list of things to keep in mind before Ragnarok, especially if this is your first time attending:
1. Bring a photo ID and a printed copy of your registration if you pre-registered! A lot of things can go wrong with 1000+ people going through pre-registration, so you may need to verify you have paid or you might have to pay again!
2. If you are under age and get caught drinking, you, your chaperon, and possibly your camp master get kicked out. This is very serious, so follow the rules of your camp master and the laws of Pennsylvania!
3. Everyone, even if you are just drinking water, must have a period container to drink from in the evening! This used to be, and I believe still is a Ragnarok rule.
4. Respect your campsite and those camping around you. Clean up after yourself daily; trash, personal belongings ect. If you leave your things out, your stuff can be thrown out or stolen. (P.S., it doesn’t hurt to get to know your neighbors if you are camping on MERCS row...)
5. If you are riding with someone else to Ragnarok or frequently hitch a ride to town, offer up some gas money if you can, even if it’s $5. Be generous and courteous; it makes any campsite better.
Basic Items to Have:
WATER! You'd be amazed at how much water your body needs at Ragnarok... Be prepared to purchase more bottled water mid-week. Use Ragnarok’s ground water for cleaning your garb, washing dishes, etc. (but don't drink it, it's lake water).
MUNDANE CLOTHES! Keep a change of clothes in the car so they are clean for the ride home. (Trash bags are nice to keep them dry.)
EXTRA CASH! Merchant’s Row is a great place to pick up last minute things like drinking cups, garb, even weapons! It’s also nice to have cash to help with fire wood and food for camp. There is an ATM on site for emergencies.
EXTRA SUPPLIES! Make sure you have weapons or weapon supplies to fall back on. Your favorite weapon may not pass or could break mid-week.
TOILETRIES! Shower stuff like soap, a towel, ect. are necessary, because showers are necessary. If you don’t think so, two days at Rag will make you change your mind, then you’ll WISH you had shower supplies (and so will your campmates.)
And just as a disclaimer…
If it’s your average Ragnarok, it WILL RAIN, and it WILL BE HOT. Plan accordingly for ANY form of weather the entire week. Have garb that can be layered and be prepared to get wet WHEN it rains. Bring trash bags in case your tent gets flooded.
And just because its summer, it doesn't mean it won't be cold. Summer nights are freezing compared to the hot afternoons; bring a thick blanket or a cloak to stay warm if it's cold at night.
Happy Packing! See you at Ragnarok!
