Repost from a Fang Discussion:
Started this thread to point out the little rules some of us bypass to give themselves an advantage. even if they dont realize it.
First, ill start with this one, which I saw blatantly ignored by more than one person at the last mittelmarch practice...
Rule 6.3 in regards to wounds on the battlefield
6.3. If you lose a leg, you must kneel on the knee of the leg you have just lost. To move from place to place you must either crawl, dragging the injured leg, or have comrades carry you. Hopping around on the good leg is not allowed. However, you may make a lunge off the good leg towards an opponent. Any strike to a leg that has already been lost does not count. If both legs are wounded, the warrior must either drag themselves by their arms or be carried in order to move.
In addition, notice it does not say you may run at someone after losing a leg, and that if a leg is hit while you are running either leg counts because they do not know which leg is wounded.
The next rule 6.4 explains positions while legged.
6.4. If both knees are on the ground, and the leg wound is from a hacking or smashing weapon then any hit to either leg is considered a hit on the good leg.
No where in 6.4 does it say you may switch legs that are wounded to your liking so that you may move across a battlefield, nor in 6.3. Your wounded leg is your wounded leg, you go to a knee and crawl to move or you go to two knees and crawl to move. thats that.
