Chuckling to himself Zaron turns and says, "You should be more careful Delmontey, Nichtmar and I may be used to games of hide and seek, but one day your going to end up with a sword throuh you sneaking up on people. As for our news, we will talk of that once we get back behind Mittelmarch's walls, we've encountered orc's in the woods." Pausing to think to himself a second Zaron once again speaks "Is the road ahead clear?. Oh and where are my manners, this is Delmontey, one of our warriors from Mittelmarch, Del, this is the Lady Elesirne, she seems to know Oron, the one about to run you through is Storm, the young one is Strays, they are new arrivals here."

With a raised brow at the lady elf with her assumption that all is safe, “It is not the scent of an orc nor the sight, it is the absence of the birds that bother me, something is not right.”
Suddenly before his words can end thunder booms across the sky.
Nichtmar sighs, “Rain…” He shakes his head, “We should get going.”
Taking a last puff of his smoke, he flicks it into the dieing fire, and waits for the others to get ready to leave. He heads out to a road leading to Mittelmarch.
“Lets go, unless ya like hang’n around in a storm.”

" If Zaron and Nichtmar trust you," Storm put his sword back in the sheathe, " then i guess i can trust you. I apologize for what happened, as Zaron said I just arrived and i don't have any idea in what the hells there is here, and i merely did it to protect the boy. Forgive?" Storm asked as he shook his hand with Delmontey's hand.

Elestirne raised one eyebrow slightly-seeing from the ogre's expression and hearing from the tone of his voice that he assumed she had thought all was safe. He was wrong. She too,had noticed the absence of birdsong " Nearly all things in this world are dangerous in some way or form Nichtmar and seldom is anything what it seems. A little rain is of little consequence, but a storm-such as what appears to be upon us-'twould be wisest to avoid being caught in. Thus,I suggest that we make for the city you mentioned with all speed." Olore flicked his ears;the noble silver stallion shaking out his long mane and snorting softly in irritation as the first drops of rain began to fall from the sky. I concur milady. Let us go. Elestirne nodded slightly;the slender Elven-queen leaping lightly into the saddle, settling gracefully, then turning to wait for the others.

"Enough said," Storm got Strays back onto his horse and climbed into the saddle. With their new companion, the Cat/Man, Delmontey the group started off along the trail once again. They reached the outskirts out the town, Mittelmarch just as the storm approched them. They managed to get too the local tavern before getting to wet from the storm outside. Storm paid for rooms for both Elestirne and Strays for the night and ordered some dinner for them all. "So where are we exactly on a world scale?" Storm asked looking over at Zaron, taking a sip of wine from his mug. " I have never been to another world before and this one is quite surprising."

Zaron ponders then replies "We are almost in the center of the world as we know it Storm. There is the southern reaches the the south, and several encampments and towns to the north. Fortunatly we have all allied together in order to fight off the evil that surrounds us. I have some maps in my war room if you'd like to see them."

OOC: Only with permission from Lady Elestirne do I enter this story.
IC: *An elf dressed very plainly stroles over to the table with a tray of extra mugs and two glasses of fine wine. He sits down passing out the mugs, giving the wine to the elven lady and keeping one for himself.* "Zaron, what is it that brings all of the newcomers to my tavern? Not that I mind, I love helping the ones that aren't quite accustomed to these lands yet. And what is this that we have here, three? Did they all come at once or were they just found at the same time? Oh, so many questions, then again, I'm sure you're all very tired." *The elf seems to notice that Zaron's armor is dirty and his blade is covered in blood* "Zaron, are you hurt? Tell me that there aren't more of Grish'nak's scouting parties about." *His face suddenly goes pale and looks at the three newcomers* "By the gods I really am terrible." *He stands and bows low* "Friends I am Isen Ehtar, I keep this little shanty running as best I can when I am in the town, though I can't say that I'm here very often." *He tosses Storm his coins back* "The first night in town is always free friend. Besides, these coins are strange, I'm not sure if I could get much for them outside of here." *Sitting back down he looks to Zaron again* "Did I hear you say something about your war room? You always were quick to trust, you old dog you." *He leans in close to Zaron's ear to whisper something that no one else can hear.* "I'm sure I'll hear everyone's stories later so no worries there friends. If there is anything that I can get for you while you're here don't hesitate to ask. Well, back to work. Enjoy your evening and welcome friends to Mittelmarch and the Land Between the Lands." *He then walks back to the counter and begins to sort through the various liqours, wines, and barrels of beer that he has behind the counter and cleaning the glasses and mugs.*

Strays sipped quietly from his cup of water listening to details he might have missed. He then asked Zaron, "What do you mean in the center of the world? And what did Isen mean by he 'likes helping the people that aren't accustomed to'. . . mittelmarch was it?" Feeling a little foolish of his questions he shrank back and took a quick drink from his cup. Once again the little boy piped up another question, "Why can't Isen stay in the inn very much?" After recieving his answers Strays finished his food and drink and quickly retired to his room.
When he got back to the room he got ready to go to bed and then he saw his Sword in the corner. He stared at his Sword for what seemed like forever. His eyes lost in disbelief and astonishment as he remembered what happened only a night ago. While he was remembering, something happened that he was jerked from his memories.
OOC: i assume that I am sharing a room with someone?

"I would very much like that if you do not mind Zaron. I'd like to see whats different from this world and my homeland of krynn." After saying this Storm took a sip of the last of the wine from his earlier glass and stared into the fire wondering if he will ever get to go home again. He missed Krynn so much, he missed Castle Brightblade that he was in the process of rebuilding. Most of all he missed Solace, the hometown he had grown up in since his childhood. He missed The tree village, he missed The Inn of the Last Home, he missed his great-uncle Caramon and great-aunt Tika. Mostly he missed his adoptive grandmother. Sara Dunstan, adoptive mother of Steel Brightblade and founder of the Legion of Steel, after his father. They were a third force besides the Knights of both Solamnia and Takhisis that was built to protect the people without the help of the gods. But thats what he missed most of all from Krynn.

Zaron whispers back to Isen, "Don't worry, I'm just showing them the map of the world as we know it there." Chuckling he says outloud, "Yes Isen, we did find them together, and there are more scouts out, fewer now though." Turning to Strays Zaron smiles and says, "What Isen meant is most of us have come here from other lands, very few of us were actually born here."

Nichtmar has been staying in one of the rooms of the Silver Moon since he's been in Mittelmarch. His room is small and cramped, he has a desk given to him my Taos, a couple pile of books, sketchings and writings strewn on his desk. He spends long nights drawing and writing, for he sleeps very little. He searches for the map he drew up. "Aww there it is" Nichtmar comes down stairs to the table, spreads the map out on the table. "Here's da Land Between, for the most part."

Within a short time the group remounted and-with the newest addition to the party-set out for Mittlemarch, led by Zaron and Nichtmar. They reached the town just as the storm hit in full and quickly found a tavern ere they got too soaked. Before joining the others in the tavern' main room Elestirne insisted upon caring for and seeing to Olore. Only after the silver stallion had been untacked, rubbed down and fed did she follow the others inside and join them at a table. Storm paid for rooms and meals for her and Strays both, only to have his coins returned and told the first night was free. Elestirne sat and sipped her goblet of wine;listening quietly as the others talked-watching and observing but not participating in the conversation.
Her keen grey eyes picked out Strays leaving the table and noted him going to where the rooms were. Poor youngling must be exhauted from the events of the last few days and traumetized from losing his parents then arubtly thrust into a group of complete strangers. She made a note to seek him out later ere she retired to bed and inquire after him. For now she stayed at the table with the others;following the conversation but not adding to it. She noticed that Storm seemed preoccupied. Likely missing his homeland-wherever he hail of,she surmised perceptivly. She too,was caught up in her own thoughts but broke out of them to speak. "Zaron. Might you, being steward of this land, know pechance how I and the young knight came hither? And also,if you would humor me,tell me what thou knowest of Oron and how?"

'I wonder who is this Oron they keep speaking of?' Storm thought. Storm saw Strays leave the table and got up to go after him. Storm walked up the stairs towards the rooms. Storm went inside and saw Strays was still awake. "You okay kid?" Storm sat down in the chair next to his bed and looked straight into Strays' eyes. "You have had a rough time yesterday didn't you Strays? I know what its like to not have your parents anymore. I went through the same thing when i was young. I never knew my mother and my father died after I was born. I grew up with only my uncle Caramon and aunt Tika. But i had a rough time not having the love of a mother and a father. But just remember that if you need a person to talk to, I am here for you Strays." Storm smiled and tucked Strays into bed and left the room to go back downstairs to hear about the man named Oron.

Elestirne noticed Storm get up and leave the table;going upstairs to the rooms. To check on Strays no doubt. Imperceptibly, she nodded to herself in approval. I too, would have done the same and checked on the boy after the long day the youngling has had. After a few minutes Storm returned and again took up his seat at the table. After a few minutes of waiting for Zaron to respond to her questions she spoke to Storm. "How fares the youngest of us good knight?"

Storm looked up and smiled. "The lads been through much in just a few days. He still misses his parents no doubt but all he really needed was some rest. I'm hopefully going to teach the boy how to properly fight sometime tomorrow so he can learn to wield a sword right. I know exactly what he is going through. I never knew my mother and my father died after I was born. But enough of this, i would care to hear of who this Oron the Wolf is. Who is he?"

Zaron smiles to himself as he begins to answer their questions of Oron. "Oron the wolf is a warrior and friend from the kingdome of Pentwyvern Storm, as to how we of Mittelmarch first met him, I'm afraid that is one for the historians, he was a friend of this town when I arrived. I first met him when he traveled through to black gate to visit us for our annual Olympic games.

*Isen comes back over and sits down to join in the conversation*
"Last I remember the warrior Andin of Rivendell told Oron of our newly formed town. We started receiving letters and other forms of communication from the old wolf shortly after Andin left our realm the first time. I'm still, to this day, not sure how Andin found us here after travelling through the gates. Oh well. Oron has been a good friend of our people here since that time."
*Isen looks across the table to both Storm and Lady Elestirne while sipping his wine*
"Tell me more of yourselves friends. I'm always curious to know more of the newcomers to our city. And if any of you wish to know the answer to the young one's question, the reason I don't stay here at the inn much is my home is just north of the city in the forests at the base of the Ironfang mountains. I stay there much of the time. So come, what are your stories?"
*Isen sits back, sipping his wine, and listening to the tales that will surely follow.*

Storm sat down across from Isen, hold his mug in his hand while he told his story. "Well good innkeep, I am Storm Brightblade, Knight of Solamnia. I come from the land of Krynn. I have been traveling the world looking for my mother or learn of what has happened of her. I had searched the world for two years and had found no trace of her. I had at last come to a final descion. I needed magic to help me and so I traveled to the capital of my country, Palathanas to seek out the dark elf mage, Dalamar the Dark. He owed my father, Steel Brightblade a favor and I knew he could help me. I at last found Dalamar in his Tower of High Socery. We talked about my father and i asked him about my mother. He told me he had not heard from my mother for in ages. But he did tell me this. he said 'If you honestly seek for your mother, then travel west.' And so I did, I traveled to the west of the continent and then a thick fog came upon me and before i knew i was here. I was not here only five minutes until i stumbled upon the queen here." Storm smiled and gestured to Elestirne. "All i really know about my mother is that her name is Angelina, Angelina Brightblade. Now i do not know whether that Dalamar had intended this to happen or not but i feel as if my mother is here, and i plan to find her." Storm took a sip of his wine and set his mug on the table.

Elestirne watched with interest as the tavern keeper-Isen he had said his name was,she recalled-came back to sit at their table;listening as he asked of them and as Storm answered first. When the knight finished his tale and Isen turned to her for her turn she was some time answering;sipping her wine slowly and deliberatly as she considered how to answer.
"Before I can anwer thou Isen,I mut know more clearly what you ask of me to tell. Do you wish simply to hear how I came or found myself in this place, or to hear the summary or backstory of my life? Or do you wish to hear both? The former will be quite brief, the latter less so." A faint smile touched the elf-queen's lips and her grey eyes sparkled briefly,as if she was amused by something.

*Isen's eyes light up as he realizes that this one is special. He smiles as he takes another sip of his wine and begins his answer*
"I would most like to know how you came to be here with us. Though I would enjoy hearing a bit of who you are to your world as well."

Elestirne's sculpted lips curved into a slight smile as she saw Isen's eyes light up and noted the innkeep's apparent delight with her reponse to his question. Apparentally, he did not expect my answer, though evidentally it pleases him. At his response she laughed softly, gently. The sound of her laughter was clear and pure, like a summer rain. "You shall have thine answers. Something so courteously requested cannot be refused. As I said earlier, how I came here-though not wholly understood by me-is,I hope,a brief tale and relativly easy to account.
"I was along the shore of a grey sea;taking the longer, overland trip to Lord Oron of Pentwyvern who,it appears,is known to you here." She aknowledged each of them with a slight nod ere continuing. "We met some years ago-three or four as I remember, and I had journeyed to his home before, but in his company and by sea,not on my own and by land. The tale of our meeting however, and that journey is a different tale for a different time. You, good innkeep, were asking how I came here. En route to Pentwyvern, along the shore of the afore-mentioned sea, a mist enveloped me and my stallion Olore. When it cleared we found ourselves here. In short order we were ambushed and pursued by orcs; I found yonder knight and helped him slay the orcs, who had given up the chae on me to attack him; we twain later were found by Nichtmar and made camp. Later that same night I happened upon the youngling Strays alone in the woods and brought him back to camp. This morning Zaron came upon us and Delmontey joined us. We found our way here, guided by Zaron and Nichtmar, just before the storm."
Her smile was definete now and amusement sparkled and glittered in her clear grey eyes as she paused and glanced from one to the next. "Now good innkeep, dost thou still wish to hear my story-or a little at least-theroef?" One slender eyebrow arched upwards slightly and her fair face held a questioning and curious look as she waited for his answer.

Storm choked on his wine after the last sentence was said. Storm then laughed and looked over at Elestirne. "As i seem to recall my lady and I am not one to take credit for grant-it but as I seem to recall. I was the one who helped you slay the orcs. You passed by me, and I looked to you and Olore's way. Then I was questioning what that was that passed me and the orcs came from the bushes and attacked me. Yes, you did get the last, but you did not help me. Just a correction of technicality. But just forget what this out of place knight has to say and continue with your story. I would love to hear it myself."
