this is a poem of mine that I just wrote. Tentatively,I am titling it 'Battle-song'
Battle-longing takes hold Can you resist? Don your armour, raise sword, heft shield You are called The field beckons Battle awaits
Battle-longing calls Hear the horn afar blow The notes tug at your heart Will you answer the summons? Will you heed the call?
Don your armour, heft your shield, raise your sword Find your helm and cloak The horn is sounded, the summons given You are called, you are compelled Battle-longing has taken hold
Battle-longing is answered Take you to the road Maps and charts left at home No need for them where you go Your heart and feet know the way
Battle-longing calls The notes echo in your soul, resound through the air You are here Once more the horn-call sounds Get you to the field Your heart and feet know the way Battle awaits And there are friends and foes to meet Battle-song is heard
True wisdom is not measured by the years one has walked the earth, but by the knowledge gained and the things seen during that time.
It is not who you are born that makes the difference, but who you choose to become

*Snap Snap* I like it milady
“I do not care for glory. Glory is earned through a life of service. It should not be consolation gift, or something sought after to sate a hunger. I want my life to matter to my brothers, and I want my death to further the cause….” –Reclusiarch Grimaldus
