My name is Thweide ("Blood knife" in the yautjan tongue). I hail from the forests of Agoreth. I am 65 years old, but for some reason not yet known to me, my physical age is about 18. Perhaps there are magical qualities in my homewood. But I digress. I am trained in the use of Red swords. I have a fondness for these large weapons because they are as much a psychological weapon as a physical one. When you brandish a sword that nears your own height, it intimidates your weaker foes. I doubt I'll have that advantage with you all, as all of you appear to be adept warriors. However our battles turn out, I only wish to enjoy your company and have a great time.
(EDIT: I changed my character's name from Guan-Thwei to Thweide, partly because I didn't like the way the old one sounded, but mostly because the new name's easier to remember.)

Oh noooooooooo!! Another red weapon user!!!! Hehehehehe. That is okay, for now I am not a fighter. Dhugal is still teaching me the very basics of weapon usage. Thanks for the history. Your avatar makes some sense now. ;D

Once you have a longer, more in-depth character history, you should start your own thread on this Board and post it the way many others have.

I decided, since Im not really part of MM, that I would just link it to my story on the Aethenu boards, rather then start more threads and such.

You're more than welcome to copy/paste your story here. We don't mind having lots of threads; reading other people's stories gives us something to do.

To make a very long story short, I am a half-elf raised by my viking mother and step-dad. I only discovered that my father was an elf a few years ago (although I suspected it long before that, due to the ears). My father tried his best to make me tough and Manly to make up for my elvish qualities, which hew considered weak and effeminate, but it didn't take. Now I am on a quest to rediscover my elven heritage.
My fighting style of choice is florentine, and I love smithing as much as not more as I love fighting (my father at first also tried to quell this instinct, but eventually he realized that there is a sort of honor in equiping noble warriors for battle.

My Name is Fearghus MacDimm. My family is of Scottish Nobility and sold out to the Britons long ago. I am the first to break the chain. I have renounced my nobility and battle for causes that suit my own beliefs. My celtic ancestry has fused with my knightly upbringing and gains me favor in both courts.

Okay, so I don't like my backstory. So I'm changing it.
Fearghus MacDimm was born in a small village to Moira and Emrys MacDimm. At the age of 8, both of his parents were killed in a raid by one of the rival clans of the area. He wandered about aimlessy, stealing scraps when he could find them and living off the land until he came to the forest of Fanghorn, where he met the Ents. The Ents raised him for the next ten years, until he was old enough and strong enough to go out into the world and avenge his mother and father. Before his departure, the Ents introduced MacDimm to a small group of humans living deep in the forest known as the Dobharchu Donn, who offered MacDimm a home whenever he needed it. MacDimm thanked them, and headed out into the world. A day into his journey, he met a messenger on the road. Apparently the clan that had killed his family had just been wiped out by a goblin horde that had been pillaging the land. Left with nothing to drive him, MacDimm returned to the forest and joined the ranks of the Donn, hoping to find a cause.

Nice. If you come up with a more detailed version, start a new thread on this Board and entitle it Fearghus the Smelly.
I mean...uh...I love you!

I haven't really thought about putting myself into a character story.
Since my name isn't common it just kind of fit into a character name. My mom swears she saw it in a catholic bible, but then she couldn't find it again and tried to spell it from memory. Of course I like my version better...where I tell people she was on drugs...it was 1980 afterall ;D
I only fight when I need stress relief or want to play whack a mole with Firoth ;D
Another form of stress relief is wonderful for someone who is such a worry wart.
I won't be able to fight much after this next week. We are trying to have a little one so I have to watch myself.
In real life I am a wife, mother to Fritz the warrior Pug, singer, photographer, graphic designer, painter, and sculpture.
Welcome to suggestions for a story and how to include the above.

You'd need to talk to Zaron, but I think he lives in Mittelmarch proper. Even if he doesn't, he's probably not far from the clearing, so it would make sense for you to spend a lot of time there. There are stables if you like horses. There's a forge and I think a blacksmith, but things may have changed since I left a few months ago. If you're a singer, you could probably entertain at the Silver Moon Tavern, and earn a bit of spending coin doing it..

My suggestion would be to incorporate your character history with Zaron's... that is what I, well Dhugal did with mine and then he made a seperate history for me from before I met up with him.

I'm working on him. I told him I needed him to incorporate me into his story/land. The husband response I got, "You can do your own thing, it doesn't have to be tied to mine". My response, "Being your wife and that I only do this with you, I really want to incorporate my character with you". Husband, "But you don't have to". Wife, "I want to, is there a problem with that". Husband, "No, I guess not". My interpretation of this all, "I love you and want you to participate....but if you are my character wife I don't look as manly....Besides, being the big bad dragoon feeds my ego...gets me hit on by women...and doesn't make me feel old and married....but I love you". Of course thats just his wife reading into what he really said I love you Zeron, Happy Anniversary
