I'm going to be placing and order with Band Shoppe in a couple of weeks for some one inch diameter fiberglass flagpoles. They come in a variety of lengths:
Price $8.95 5', 5 1/2', 6'
Price $11.95 7', 8'
I've heard from some polearm smiths that this is the way to go for spears and such... basically anything 8' or less.
So, if you're interested in getting on board with this order let me know we'll split the shipping.

i actually would say 8' or up, length means a lot for spears and halberds.
although for you youngins out there, cutting 6' lengths into matching 3' lengths is a great way to make weapon sets.

has anyone found a way to bend fiberglass yet for a katana?

fiberglass cannot be bent Rojji, it can be shaped in a bend when it is initially made, but it cannot be bent

and axes are meant for firewood not fighting, and a katana can cut through a man shoulder to hip. lol

I am sick and tired of people talking about how fantastic a katana is. It's a good sword, no doubt, but like any weapon ever used in history it has its flaws. Okay, rant finished.
Thanks again for that core I bought from you guys.

i'd pit my axe against your katana any day. Oh and a katana is good, i'll admit. the curvature can cause a very deep cut. but cut a fully armoured man from shoulder to hip? It may make it through the armour, i might even give the clavicle to a man with the muscle for it, but it cant go through clavicle, ribs, and spine. Its actually been proven.
Nor can katana's stop a bullet. (since i assume you probably watch a lot of anime)
Nor can they actually get through well made plate. (unlike a real waraxe, i'd like to point out.)
I'll even bring my axe to practice tuesday. I'll show you what a real weapon can do, boy.

If you dont want something to get serious, never insult a dwarf or his equipment...or his family...or his drink of choice...y'know its usually best to never say anything negative towards a dwarf if you value your extremities.
