It took Arsehead forever to make it to Mittelmarch by horse but he had finally arrived. He slowly approached the gates but when the peasants saw him, they screamed for the guards and took off. He stopped and waited.
Soon 5 guards came with weapons at the ready. Arsehead threw up his hand and yelled "Parlay! I fly under neutral colors! I've come to parlay with your leaders or whoever will! Kill me and the wrath of the Fallen shall be upon you!"
The guards took their weapons away having heard stories from the previous battle not a few days ago. However, they didn't let their guard down.
"You will not enter the city abomination! We will send for those you ask but mark my word, you try anything and we will destroy you!"
"Fine, I shall wait. Have a table with the map of the Lands out and some parchment and ink! Clear a house so that we may have shelter and finally you will treat me with respect for I have a army at hand in case I'm mistreated and captured." "Don't threaten us.....sir...." The guard spat the words but Arsehead didn't care. "Good I shall wait here till then."
ooc: about a day or so after nichtmar's conversation so rp like it didn't happen if you want to continue that portion of it. If you want it around this time or so though I don't mind.

Nichtmar sat in Cedric’s Inn eating breakfast when a guard came in looking very distressed.
“Sir, there’s one of those…undead things here. He claims parlay. Should we…”
Nichtmar says nothing, the sound of the chair being pushed back, the fork dropping to the plate, the snatch of a torch off the wall, and the bang of the door to Cedrics being opened and it swinging shut.
Nichtmar walks with purpose through the portcullis. He stops just in front of Areshead, bows, and without haste pulls his sword and beheads the creature. The head hits before the body crumbles into a pile. Nichtmar drops the torch on body and it quickly ignites.
He looks to a guard, “Sack the ashes and attach a note saying “You’re next.” and drop it at the bridge to Ravenwood.
OOC: heh, lawful good.

Raku paced back and forth in her excuse of a room in Ravenwood, as a wave of boredom settle upon her. She decided to go approach Giggles in his throne room.
Once she entered the throne room of Giggles, she started to make her "request" of him.
"Giles-san, I need a dead body to test my newly acquired item. You will give it to me and I will consider you debt to me paid in full. I am also going to travel back to Kanthea and join up with my recently acquired army of bandits. Feel free to try to summon me if I am need in any way."
She waited for Giggles' response.

Tsukasa was sitting at one of the tables in Cedric's Inn, when he saw the guard walk up to Nichtmar.
Wonder what this is all about.
He then proceed to watch Nichtmar stand up and walk out of Cedric's Inn with a purpose. Tsukasa gave a thought of pursuing Nichtmar, but decided to stay, He pulled out a scroll and wrote a few things down and put it away. He then went out to perform his morning kata.

Elestirne paced in her room. Tight lines of worry and stress were graven in her fair features. Her unease had only grown since he conversation with Nichtmar the other day. She had ended it that night intending to ride for the Kyuden and none being the wiser but, unfortunatly for her Authnor had woken and come in search of her. And he had overheard hers and Nichtmar's conversation.
The veteran elf-commander had been apalled and shocked that she had been considering something so potentionaly risky and dangerous and, the moment they had left Nichtmar, proceeded to lecture her. He had raised such a fuss, that Elestirne had given up the idea of going. At least,of going while he had been so watchful and worked up about it.
However, last night she and Olore had taken their chance and quietly disappeared to the kyuden without anyone's notice. What would have taken a normal horse and rider several hours had taken them only a few. They had reached the kyuden in the dead of the night, and slipped in without waking anyone. Within a short time, they had met with and talked to those they had needed to and were on the way again, slipping back into Mittelmarch walls in the early dawn;before most of the city was awake. Since then, Olore had been patrolling the walls invisibly-on the lookout for any threat-and she had been in meditative trance, until just a few minutes ago, trying to find an answer to the dilemmna that seemed to be developing. None had yet presented themselves, and she wasn't yet sure if her daring action of riding to the kyuden would bear any fruit. Or if any forthcoming help would be in time..
Elestirne!,Olore's voice filled her mind;cutting through her thoughts. An undead approaches. It-he-claims parlay with the leaders of Mittelmarch. You had best get to the gates.
Without a word,Elestirne stopped pacing, finished readying herself and ran lightly to the window. Dropping out of it,she landed lightly on the ground below and started off on silent feet. Within moments, she was in the city proper and on the way to the gates. As she was crossing the central court with the fountain, she saw Nichtmar come out of Cedrics' Inn and stalk off towards the gates himself. She reached them just in time to see Nichmar go up to the undead, bow curtly, strike its head off and burn its body without preamble, then turn to give orders to a nearby guard. The elf-queen came to a halt and shook her head;silver eyes darkening. Rash... Any undead sent to parlay must be either powerful,or close to their master. The lich is sure to be angered, and he will raise his servant again. I fear this might only bring the attack more swiftly on us..especially if that undead did not come alone... A grim look came over her face;mingling with the worry as she stood in the shadow of the gates like a statue.

Walking amongst the Undead Horde, Masahiro traveled light and hard to get to the very gates of Mittelmarch. They had just arrived at the bridge at the edge of Ravenwood. They decided they would stay here until morning rose. Wyverns stood sentry over everything.
All of the sudden a sack with a note attached to it was flung at the very feet of the Undead. The note upon it read ,"Your next", Masahiro reading this saw that the Mittelmarch cavalry had delivered this message in hopes of scaring off that which could not be scared.
"Giles-san, I demand retribution. Let us make the very walls of Mittelmarch tremble before our mighty army, Let the children of them remember the nightmare, the day their parents died.
Bring the bloodlust, bring the gore, Let us feast upon their door, Smash the stones, Crumble their walls, Crush their bones, So they might answer our calls.
Have them sit, and watch others die, while they get lit, where they lie, Walls Crumble, Homes Tumble, Like a medieval yard Rumble.
"Giles-San, what is your will."

Giggles had heard from Masahiro that Arsehead was destroyed. He let out a great laugh. It seemed as though his laugh sucked out the very essence of life in the air. "Those fools! They fell right into my trap! We now have a true justification for war! We have been invaded and sent for peace negations just to have the savages murder him! Oh, this will be fun!" It was then that Raku spoke to him so rudely. "Raku, you have my gratitude but never imply that I owe you anything! I've given you a home and a place to call your own. Now you may go and test this item but I shall follow as well too see it's potency." After he was done he sent his will to Masahiro. No, I shall revive Arsehead. I want the walls of Mittelmarch to be stained red by the time we get through and we don't have those numbers here. We shall go to Kanthea and prepare the legions to attack from the North!
Giggles used ten of the hostages to raise Arsehead from his ashes. "So did you have some fun while you were away?" "GHHPOM HMFK!" "Oh. Guess I have to cast the spell that allows you to speak, since your head is up your....yeah. "There, now guard Ravenwood. The Chosen shall now head out to prepare for our all out war!"

After only a few moments of standing there Elestirne made a decision. Whirling away from the gates in a swirl of fabric, the lithe elf strode away purposely back towards the Lord's House to retrieve certain, necesary belongings. Something decisive needed to be done, and Elestirne could not think clearly shut in the town waiting for the storm to break. Besides, she hated being inactive in times of impending danger such as this. She had not been able to bear it her first adventure here and she could not bear it now. She needed something to do, something to feel useful. She had already directed her archers to be on the walls and supplement the Mittelmarch guard already there, and the few clerics she had-all of them powerful-had been instructed to bless the weapons and armour of the defenders, and to cast any other useful spells that might occur to them to use. All the healers she had were on hand, aware of their roles, and aware of how best to be useful. Her escort and Authnor did not need to be told their roles-in their minds, such was already settled beyond all doubt. But where would she fit in? What was to be her role in this? If her dreams since coming here were any indication, she had a major role..as both healer and warrior. She,apprarentally, was one of the champions/heroes of light, and meant to drive the darkness/theat back. Another, smaller battle was looming out there as well and Elestirne felt on some deep level that it had to do with her and someone else, something that was unresolved...
A frown touched her forehead as her silver eyes clouded;the worry in her features deepening. Since his one appearence in the inn days ago Telamon had not been heard from or seen. Nor had the man he had taken hostage, the one who had helped her corner the undead in the healing center. He had taken the masked one, but could just as easily have taken her.. There was definetely something suspicious there... Perhaps-as Olore had said then-it was bait. Perhaps he was trying to lure her out, lure her to him;instead of sending a minion to snatch her,or setting her up.. Or he realized such methods would not work this time.. The elf's eyes clouded all the more.
After collecting and buckling on her swords, she called for Olore. An instant later, there was the familiar silver shimmer as the magnificent stallion took form. He took in her grim look and tense posture. You are troubled
"Something is amiss Olore. You and I have both felt it for days. I need answers, and I cannot get them here. There is too much tension. It clouds things. We-I-need somewhere to think."
You mean to go beyond the gates, the stallion's voice was flat. He cast her a look of faint reproach. Authnor will be angry.
"Authnor will get over it. It is necesary."
The stallion merely nodded in a resigned sort of way. Elestirne fetched his tack, then saddled and mounted him. In moments, the two were trotting swiftly for the gates and the open land beyond them.

Deep in his thoughts, Masahiro knew that the walls of Mittelmarch would soon be crumbling. Thinking to himself he knew it was a matter of time. As he was thinking to himself , His solid black panther came strolling up next to him. His name is " Shaydenn, The ShadowCat" , he is able to stand on his two feet just like that of a human. His claws and his bite are there, so anyone other than his masters should beware. He only was unleashed when the time was right.
"This is a great stabacle is it not, Shaydenn. Things are not what they seem. This will be a great battle of Blood and Gore. So we shall fight well and at the end of the day, a feast for you of Lamb and Steaks.", Masahiro said while petting the panther.

"Awwwww, such a cuute kitty!" exclaims Zigler has he scratches the chin of a stray cat he has discovered in the alley behind Cedrics. Sighing and unbending the dwarf regains his height and finishes tossing the scraps and offal to the middle of the alley. He glances longingly at the roof of Madam Lucinda's but knows that the time is not right for a 5 day of 'vacation'.
The Inn Keeper returns through the back door and into the kitchen and then to the basement where he retrieves another two barrel of Tillman. With each passing day more drink is consumed by the populace as they feel another large battle looming on the horizon. Placing the barrels underneath the bar Zigler looks around at the empty (for now) place. Grunting with satisfaction the Bard retreats up the stairs, past the three rooms on the second floor and on up to his. While humming a steady tune he takes out his weapons, shield, and leather armor from the closet. The gear is dusty from disuse but the blades still shine. Zigler spends the next few hours till the Inn reopens honing the blades and polishing the shield and armor, all the while humming the tune.
With a satisfied grunt the dwarf lays his gear out on the center table and before heading down to unbolt the door looks at his reflection in the shields metal. "How many of them can we make die." Zigler sings to himself before going about the rest of the night.

"Aye, it does sound delicious. Just think of all the people and animals you could kill. You could sit and just dress yourself and feast upon the very flesh of the people that you kill. Just think of the gold and wealth we could use for our actual War.", Masahiro said.
Petting his new pet, he looked down into Shaydenn's Midnight Blue eyes. They shone with much experience as he just sat their and breathed in making sure to take in huge breathes before thinking to himself.
"Good Kitty, just going to have to make it so you are our favorite. You are very very nice and furry.", Masahiro said.

Elestirne and Olore moved at an easy canter once free of the city. They had departed unchallanged, though it was far too much to hope for that they had also done so unnoticed. Her archers on the wall had to have noticed,at the least, and doubtless one of them had informed Authnor or Nichtmar-or was even now doing so.
They were still within sight of the walls though-if only to one of her elves. Olore refused stubbornly to go beyond the sight of her archers and Elestirne was forced to reluctantly concede that this was for her safety and a necessary measure.
Her brow furrowed as she thought hard. Too much was happening, had happened. That Ravenwood would retaliate she knew in her heart-especially now after what Nichtmar had done with the envoy. That was unwise of him, yet I cannot say I blame him. But I fear it will make things worse for us. She raised her clear silver eyes to the sky. It was clear-for now-yet, in her mind's eye she could see the storm that was looming, about to break. What can we do We have prepared about as much as we can and I am doing all I can to help,or so I think. If the Kyuden aids not it will be hard for us.
Worry about it when it comes, not before,Olore interjected. I am more concerned with 'Telamon's odd behaviour. Why has he not shown himself since the inn Why take the masked one and not you? I think he might be trying to draw you out, to bait you and keep you away from where you are needed. He knows you mst be doubly wary now-through past experiences-and twice now have you thwarted his designs, even when he thought you out of the way. That cannot sit well with him. I am certain he is trying to involve you again, but this time through subtler means than he has previously employed. He may be trying to catch you alone or off-guard. He knows you are too closely watched else.
The elf-queen nodded grimly. "Does this mean that it ultimately comes to a battle between him and I?" she wondered aloud;needing to hear the words spoken.
Olore tossed his mane and it rippled like a silver waterfall a it splashed back upon his neck. It has been coming to that ever since your first meeting. The stallion lashed out with a foreleg in midstride and a white flame sprang up from the ground where the hoof smote. Especially since you rejected his offer I think. The only question is, when will he choose to act and force your hand? And how? And do not ask me if you are capable of this-you already know well you are strong enough to defeat him. But it will be your fight Elestirne-I will not intervene unless you ask it or he forces it. And I do not think you really want me to have to deal with him. The stallion's nostrils flared, and his eyes narrowed dangerously. I do not think he will want that either.. He lifted his head a little. We should be getting back. You have had your time to think and Authnor will be worrying before long. He will be unhappy enough as it is. But I like not the scent of the wind. His skin shivered under his silky coat. They are out there, waiting.
Elestirne could sense them too-Olore spoke of the undead. She patted his shining neck as he wheeled and began to make for the gates at a swift canter. A thought suddenly occured to her. "Why didn't you destroy Telamon while he was still Telemachus? You had chances. What would have happened?"
Olore flicked his ears back briefly. Much. Or nothing, depending how you look at it. The first attack on Mittelmarch would still have happened, though you would not have been ambushed and captured, nor met Kotaro, nor met and healed Tatsumura. Nichtmar would be dead, but then,he would never have turned against his fellows. Then again,he would never have had chance to be redeemed either. You would never have learned of the Azoth Gate and so,would never have been able to arrange for it being hidden in time, nor would you have had enough time or warning to arrange your forces to successfully defeat the Jovians. And,of course,Nichtmar would never have been tainted,so you might never have been called back here in time to help. Or might not be here at all. All because of one seemingly small inaction. You are a seeress Elestirne. You have the foresight. You know that fate does not always work in expected or wholly understood ways, and oft goes along twisted paths. You do not need me to tell you that. Besides, had I destroyed him then,it would have been depriving you of your chance to face something unresolved from your past, something that still troubles you deeply and which you need to come to terms with.
Elestirne frowned, her expression turning deeply thoughtful. Her clouded silver eyes had a distant look, but she scanned their surroundings keenly and alertly, her posture tense and face worried.

Incondra looks over toward Masahiro " I will keep em safe. My love, you need to be careful as well as I" she grabs ahold of Masahiro. "I don't want to lose you. But right now we need to help Giles."
As she watched him summon Bha'llack she felt a strong presents coming near.
She was hearing Masahiro call for fear and unionity with Giles. Her fangs grew and the smell of the mittlmarcher's blood smelled so sweet even with their fears. As Incondra was holding on to Masahiro her eyes started glowing the lust red and she was licking her lips just waiting for the command from Giles and Masahiro. As Incondra's standing by Masahiro with Shaydenn between us she was sencing that the enemy is trying to defeat us. "I feel something wrong my love. We might need reinforcments but I'm quite sure but I do since the sicking of something good."
Incondra grabbed his hand put it against her stomich "I feel it more becuz of em. We need to put protection spell on em. This baby is stronger than us my love if em can have since things more. And your power grew stronger. El Melon and I just dont want to lose you and what is part of me and you" she take his other hand, held it, then looked in to his eyes, and kised his soft loving lips. "Now shall we defeat this good ora and turn it nuetural." with a know it all grin.

Raku stood in the shadows and listen to the exchange between Incondra and Mashiro. When she felt that the time was right, she revealed herself. Senseing some heat between them, she raised her hands.
"I mean you no harm. I have a simple question. Why do you align yourself with the one known as Giles-san?"

"If you wish, I could be a powerful ally, but I can also be a dangerous foe. I only wish to know your purpose."

Stepping slightly forward to bow, "Mistress Raku, I would like to ensure you that my allegiance is to myself and my mistress and those who serve me. I am Neutral in any given situation, however the Lich has a benefit to me. I will be able to finally have my lands returned to me and my family. Also I have what he needs, Druidic Magic. Raku gave a hard cold stare to Shaydenn. His threat meant nothing to her. Worse case, she would have to take her true form. She decided to give her full attention to Masahiro and Incondra
"You might want to keep your little kitty on a shorter leash. I will stand where ever I wish. As for Giles-san, you two sound like very powerful allies to have. If I see a chance to overthrow Giles-san, would you join me."
She waited for the reply.

As Raku caught Incondra's eye and hearing Shayden's reply toward her about to shred her to pieces "Shayden remain calm and Masahiro I can answer her myself. She dont scare me." As Incondra's walking up to Raku looking straight into her eyes of no fear " If Gile-san Does anytihng wrong to betray My love Masahiro, one finger" she holds one finger in front of her as she getting closer to her " that lich will be dead. Does that answer your question Raku?" Incondra's eye's turned to he bright vampire red lust and her expressions was like she wanted to kill Raku.
After proving her point to Raku, her eyes turned to normal and was walking back to Shayden and her beloved Masahiro but did not keep her eye on Raku. When was near Masahiro then her eyes was more focused on Shayden and and him, she petted Shayden as a thank you and turn toward her love to kiss his soft loving lips.

The sun was at twilight and the sky was clear. A few birds still sung and frogs croaked. When the last of the sun hit the crest of the horizon the forest shuttered. Birds and other small animals rushed toward Elestirne and Olore. Not to attack, but they were escaping something. Then the forest opened up a swarm of orcs and gnolls rushed toward the pair. Olore leaped in front of Elestirne and reared. White hot light erupted from him and the ground rumbled. Some of them had their eyes seared by the shine. Some fell and began to rise again and attack. Before they could an explosion of fire erupted behind Olore. He turned to see scorched earth and no Elvin Queen was in sight. If he felt her, it was distant and vague. She was gone. A familiar laugh echoed in the distance. He knew the voice.
Her protector had failed…again.

Post by Lady Elestirne on Mar 26, 2010 14:40:20 GMT -5
Olore, sensing her tenseness, suddenly paused in his stride and threw his head up in alarm. Nostrils flaring, he dug his hooves in to wheel around with a sudden snort;coming to an abrupt halt facing back the way they had come. On his back, Elestirne's swords came to life with faint glows and the elven-queen winced and shifted uneasily as she felt strong dark magic flare into existence somewhere nearby. Familiar dark magic...and not that of the undead.
Tensed, the two of them waited. Soon, several terrified animals flushed out of the forest, heading blindly for the pair of them. The stallion held his ground and he and Elestirne locked their eyes on the sight;waiting to see what could put the denizens of the forest into such a blind terror. When they saw the orcs and gnolls, they knew.
In a flash,Elestirne had leapt from Olore to the ground, realizing that-in this situation-they would work better and more effectively apart than together. As the monsters came closer,Elestirne tensed into a fighting position and Olore dashed forward and reared with a ringing, trumpeting challenge that carried back even to the walls. The silver-white light that perpetually flickered about his form was brightening and his indigo eyes were glowing. Realizing what he meant to do an instant in advance,Elestirne prudently turned at a slight angle and shielded her eyes as impossibly bright white light flared out in a ring of radience from the stallion;destroying those nearest, blinding all others too close.
In that very moment. Elestirne stiffened and whipped around;sensing the naggingly familiar dark magic again, only much, much closer. And at the same time, a horrible suspicion and sense of foreboding had seized her. Wait.. As fire roared to life in front of her,and a famiiar presence manifested, she understood. Him again-as Olore had warned.. "Olore!"
The silver stallion had sensed the dark magic as keenly as her and whipped around now at her cry. But too late. Something had already seized her in a grip as strong as steel and dragged her forward into the fire, though she fought it with every fiber of her strength. Olore had barely taken a step before they were gone. As he viewed the scorched earth and the familiar, mocking laugh sounded around him the silver stallion rose high on his hind legs, pawing at the air in frustration as he bugled his rage and frustration to the sky. COWARD!!! Not again!!
As he came back to all fours, one of the blinded orcs stumbled into him. The stallion seized the unfortunate thing by its rough tunic and flung it bodily out of his way,not caring where it landed if it did. Another stumbled into the stallion's hock and Olore kicked it squarely in the head as it stumbled back. With a last, agonized look at the tell-tale circle of scorched earth, the stallion kicked into a gallop, heading for Mittelmarch angrily. He could still sense Elestirne and so,knew she was alive, but it did not lesson his anger in the least, only fueled it. The stallion hoped that nothing was so foolish as to try to block his way or impede him. There were certain persons he had to speak to,and he would not be kept from doing so,and then continuing on his duty.

Post by Lady Elestirne on Mar 26, 2010 22:24:05 GMT -5
Authnor paced the city anxiously for the third or fourth time. It had been hours since he had last seen Elestirne. She was not at the fine house the ogre knight had arranged for her to stay at, she wasn't at the healing center,or the inn they had stayed at previously. Nor was she overseeing any of her elves,or helping to prepare for the fight to come... He had heard of Nichtmar's 'parlay', and hurried to the gates in the hopes of finding Elestirne present, but had only come upon guards sweeping the charred ashes of the undead into a bag. So he had taken to wandering the city, hoping to chance upon her. But he had not even glimpsed her in all this time.
For a moment, he had wondered if she might be angry with him and so,avoiding him. But no. That was not like her. She was neither vindictive, nor the type to hold a grudge. If he had done something to upset her she would have told him, or let him know in some other way.
Worried, the elven commander found himself wandering aimlessly. He felt the tension in the air keenly, the storm that loomed darkly over them all, about to break. It made him uneasy. It was not the promise of battle, of melee combat, that unsettled him,but the threat of magic,of dark energies. Let the mages and those fate-touched worry about magic-he was a warrior. His business was that of war and the defense and protection of his Queen.
As he made to turn down another random street, he caught sight of one of the archers approaching. His sharp emerald eyes narrowed. "What are you doing here?", he demanded in their own tongue. "You're supposed to be on the walls with the others!" Noticing the other's suddenly uncomfortable look,he spoke again. "What has happened?"
The younger elf watched him fearfully. Authnor was legendary to the younger elves, and so was his temper. It was also well-known that he had little tolerance for fools or time-wasters.
"Lord-Commander...the Queen rode out with Honored Olore some time ago. Hours. It's taken me all this time to find you..." She quailed at the dark, furious look the veteran warrior leveled at her.
" She WHAT!? Alone? And you all just let her go? What were you thinking? Why didn't you stop her?" Without bothering to wait for her response, the red-haired elf rushed past her; making for the stables where his horse was being kept with long, fleet strides. He was going to tack his stallion, go out there after her, bring her back...and then watch her like a hawk to make sure she took no more unnecesary risks. Or get the one she called sworn-brother to do so... He was unaware of the archer dogging his shadow apologetically.
As he was hastening across the great courtyard towards the stables something, some sixth sense, pricked at him and he paused reflexively;glancing towards the gates. Charging towards him at a furious speed, with ears flat back and hooves striking sparks, was Olore. The stallion shone a bright, flickering silver-white and his eyes were blazing. He was riderless. Pitching to a halt in front of the stunned warrior he reared, flailing at the air. Despite himself, the normally unshakable elf flinched back from the angry being. It was a few moments before he could find his voice and then,to his shame, the hoarseness of its normally melodic tones betrayed his fear. "Where is the Queen Olore!?"
The stallion's blazing sapphirine eyes lit on him as he settled back to earth, and Authnor flinched again. Gone. Taken. Ambushed. I could not prevent it. Frustrated fury punctuated each word. He struck at the stone near the fountain. A white flame leapt up as it cracked from the impact.

"Ah, Kanthea. My home away from home." Giggles said to himself. as he looked out he saw 11 legions waiting for his command. He knew that with this army he would bring all of Mittelmarch to it's knees and then he would have all there know his will. "I suppose this will do. But I'm more comfortable with my army at Ravenwood." Masahiro. You have earned my trust for now and in doing so I grant you your homelands to do with as you see fit. All I ask is that you lead the army of Kanthea to Mittelmarch in order to make my will known!

Tsukasa was walking the streets of Mittelmarch alone when he saw Olore appear in the middle of the town to talk to Authnor. He also noticed that Lady Elestirne was not with him.
That is very strange. I have yet to Lady Elestirne separated from Olore.
As he approached, he saw Olore hit the fountain and white flames coming from the place of the strike.
"Authnor-sama, what is wrong? Where is Lady Elestirne?"
