Storm was cleaning tables and making rounds like he usually did around this time. He had spent most of his days now helping refugees, even though his uncle did not support it, and giving them what little he could. He lately had heard that things were going on with undead and the like. He shivered at the thought, he hated undead. The thought of the dead coming back from their final rest seemed the worst possible thing a person could do in life.
He passed by a table at looked up to see a bright white horse speed down the street to the fountain. He also noticed Authion standing there and realized it was Olore, but he was riderless. Storm set the tray down and rushed outside towards the fountain. He ran up to Olore and tried to calm him down. Speaking in the elvish he knew he slowly reached out his hand and said, "Olore, what's wrong? Where's my oselle?"
He started to stroke the stallion to calm him down.

If Olore had been one of his elves,Authnor would have thought nothing of challanging why and how he had let the queen be taken, and criticizing him for it. But Olore was not-was not even of this earth. And Authnor was too wise-and valued life far too much-to dare speak to the eldritch being in such a tone and risk his wrath, especially considering the mood the stallion was already in. The veteran elf cast a wary, apprehensive look to the shattered stone. His hands balled into fists, but he forced his voice to be reasonably calm as he carefully phrased the painful questions. "Olore...how did it happen? Who took her? Is..is she alive? Why were you beyond the walls to begin with?"
The stallion's indigo eyes flared. The silver-white light lining his form brightened;flickering and flaring also. He scraped a hoof across the ground, pawing it agitatedly and snorted. His entire frame was tense, his muscles taut and rigid. Authnor noticed with alarm that he was in the stallion's striking range if he chose to lash out again and briefly entertained the thought of retreating to a safer distance, but he refused to show any more fear and weakness than he already had. With that in mind,he stood still as stone, waiting with bated breath for Olore's answers. Or anger.
Hearing someone approach, and Tsukasa's concerned question,he turned to the man with a faintly haunted look in his emerald eyes. "My Queen has been taken. Captured. Olore and her went out beyond the walls. More I don't know yet. Olore has not answered me" Authnor's face hardened;tying to conceal his deep worry and fear before the man glimpsed it.
Glimpsing swift movement from his side,Authnor noted Storm rushing out of the inn and running towards them. No, past them, towards Olore. The elf started to try to intercede, but remembered the friendship Storm and Olore had always seemed to enjoy, though their mutual connection to Elestirne. He remembered too, that Storm had been the first one Olore had come to when Elestirne had been taken the first time. Perhaps he could calm the stallion long enough for them to learn what had happened. Auhnor swiftly returned his gaze to the stallion;watching his reaction.
Olore had caught sight of Storm quicker than Authnor and had reared high, pawing the air again. Involuntarily,Authnor flinched again;a part of him fearing for the young mortal's safety even as another part thought him foolish to approach in such a manner. But he didn't dare step closer, only watched.
The stallion had settled back to all fours now,but his very tenseness was a clear warning. His ears were half-back and he watched Storm's every step wiith the intensity of a hawk. Yet,incredibly,he let the mortal finish approaching, and come close-close enough to touch even. The stallion gazed at Storm;the angry light in his eyes cooling somewhat, though he shuddered faintly as the man went to pat him,and hung his proud head a little;closing his eyes briefly. Authnor could only look on in astonishment-both for that sight, and the fact that Storm had addresed the stallion in elvish. Gods of my fathers..how does he manage what anyone else would have gotten struck down for..?
Olore had raised his head and opened his eyes now and-after a quick look to Storm-settled his depthless blue gaze on Tsukasa and Authnor. Anger and fury still flickered darkly in his eyes, but there was a burning determination and immense sorrow and shame too.
His bell-like voice was dark with it as he finally spoke, and the anger underneath it terrible to hear. He adressed Storm first. She has been taken again. By Telamon. He stomped the ground with a snort and his eyes darkened in anger and shame as he bowed his head a little. And once again I was unable to prevent it. Once again I failed. He shifted his gaze to include Tsukasa and Authnor. She lives still. If she were dead...I would know. I can still sense her,but it is hard. She is either unconsious, far away,or there is some sort of spell in the way trying to block me. Olore laced his ears full back and his eyes flared momentarily. We were ambushed, but it was a diversion,a feint. In that one moment of distraction, the coward snatched Elestirne. The stallion lashed out again;leaving a long scorch mark and more cracked stone as his hoof connected.

Storm stood there and listened. He couldn't believe the telemachus captured her again. What did he want her for now this time? Whatever the reason it couldn't be good.
"Olore, where were you when she was captured?" Storm asked while patting Olore. He looked over at Authion.
"He should be safe enough to come closer if you wish Authion. It's not like he bites." Storm said trying to lighten the mood although all present knew that it was worse than expected.
Storm looks back to Olore and asks"Should we seek out Sir Nichtmar and report this to him old friend?"

Olore permitted the familiar contact for a few, brief moments, then shied away with a snort and angry stomp of his hoof. He put his ears back and shook out his mane, indigo eyes first darkening then flaring. He pawed at the ground, nostrils flaring. His answer came slowly, angrily.
We were outside the walls, near the forest, but still in sight of the walls and her archers,as I insisted. She needed time and somewhere peaceful to think. She's been deeply troubled lately, between the approaching storm/battle that looms ever closer, the guilt over the dead and injured she could not save, her worry that she was not doing enough to try to help. And all the tension, fear and worry within the walls was hard on her and her empathy. The stallion's ears went flat to his skull.
So we rode out. All seemed well until we were heading back. We could sense the undead of course, but there was something fouler on the wind than they. Gnolls and orcs exploded out of the forest to attack. It was only after we prepared to face them than we realized it was a feint,a diversion. A well-timed one. A column of fire erupted behind us and before I could do aught about it,Elestirne was siezed. By Telamon. And I had failed. Again. Olore struck at the ground angrily, lowering his head just a little. Treacherous coward. Now he has her again and he must have learned a few new tricks with his new state, otherwise I'd be able to sense her clearly. Once I find out where he took her though,he is going to wish he hadn't-especially if he does her any harm. Yet again the stallion smote the ground and half-reared,clearly agitated.
Authnor, stunned at the grief and shame he heard from the stallion, and keenly wary of the eldritch being's power and anger, moved forward cautsiously until he stood at the silver stallion's other shoulder. His hands clenched and unclenched. Almost, he thought about touching the stallion, but just couldn't bring himself to be so familiar. "We will get her back Olore,"he vowed grimly. "I would strike down this Telamon myself to do so." He glanced to Tsukasa, wondering just how he was taking this and what he thought. He alone had no personal stake nor interest, unless one counted Elestirne saving his life. Authnor's emerald eyes smoldered with anger as he thought on the situation, and what Elestirne's capture would mean. Registering Storm's question,he started to answer, but Olore beat him to it.
The silver stallion's eyes glittered dangerously, and he pawed at the ground. Yes, he should know. Elestirne's capture affects him too. But if he has heard the commotion he will come on his own.

"Giggles-san, I promised you I would help you in the war to take over mittelmarch, and I keep my promises. Kanthea will support you in your efforts. But remember we are equals from now on.", Masahiro said while bowing.
"WARRIORS OF DARKNESS, March south to Mittelmarch and show them the meaning of terror!!!", Bha'allack yelled to rally the troops.
Masahiro gave the order and all legions said, "Hoo Rah!" as they marched towards Mittelmarch from the Southern part of Kanthea.
And with this Masahiro vanished in a poof of smoke and mist into the wind.

Nichtmar had ended his guard shift when he saw Storm speaking with Authion and Olore, but no Queen. He thought they were going to head to the Shogunate. “Maybe he dropped her off,” he thought? As he got closer he gave warm greeting but it tailed off in despair, “Good day everyone! How’s it….” He was silenced by dread on their face.
“No… Who was it? What happened?”

Storm looked up at Nichtmar with a saddened face. He pat Olore and said,
"Looks like Telemachus has captured her again. What he wants with her this time I have not the slightest idea. When Elestirne went out for a ride within sight of the wall they were ambushed by orcs and gnolls. Then before Olore knew it, there was a flash of flame and she was gone. Now I know the initial response of most people here is to go rescue her, but with the recent undead activity how are we supposed to go about it. I can go to the Shogunate and get aid. What should we do Nichtmar?"

Olore shivered his skin and put his ears half-back as Storm made to pat him, but permitted the continued contact even though he shifted uneasily;stamping his feet and swishing hs tail. When he spoke, his voice was audible to all, even to Nichtmar and Tsukasa. Exactly what he wants with her and will do with her is anyone's guess. But I can guess one reason at least for siezing her:to keep her out of the way and prevent her from helping and turning the tide. Thus he did for the first time Mittelmarch was attacked, and thus he tried with the Kyuden, and the Jovians.
The silver stallion fixed all four of them with a very intense, piercing look;his indigo eyes glowing brightly, stars seeming to swirl in their depths. We cannot attempt to go after her when we do not know for certain where she has been taken, nor where exactly she is being held. Much less how heavily defended it might be. The frustrated fury in the stallion's voice was plain. Furthermore, it might be the very thing the foul one wants. To draw out some of us-me especially perhaps-in order to weaken the city's defenses at the very least, or have us distracted by searching for and trying to find Elestirne while Ravenwood unleashes its attack. I am certain the two are allies in this. And even if Telamon did not sieze Elestirne for his own reason, but some darker purpose, he was cunning in his timing. We cannot afford to be distracted between defending the city from the approaching threat and searching for Elestirne. And not all of us could be spared to go. And not all of us should. The stallion's voice was bitter;indigo eyes flaring with anger. But once I have the slightest clue of her location I will go. And if Telamon or anyone else has harmed her they will regret it. Olore shied away from Storm to rear in frustation, lashing out.

Tsukasa listen to what Olore had to say and agreed with him full heartily. He then turned to Nichtmar.
"Nichtmar-san, I will stay and help guard the city. I know that Lady Elestirne-dono means a lot to you. I assume that you will want to aid Olore-sama in his quest to find and rescue Lady Elestirne-dono. Even though she has aided me in the recent past, my bond with her is not a strong as yours. Therefore I believe my skills can be better used to help the guard protect the city. That is if you think this to be a wise course of action."

Nichtmar still thought it was strange for a horse have such power, let alone speak. He didn’t trust magic it had led him to dark places and this horse was a source of unrivaled magic. His hand reached for his chest. He preferred steel and his guts to get him through anything. He listened and thought for a moment.
“And that is why I must stay here…I must help protect these walls.”
His eyes darted to Storm, “Storm, gather three others of your choosing.” “Tsukasa I believe you would be helpful in this investigation.”
“Olore, I’ll leave it to you to decided where you need to be. This isn’t your fight, your Queen is your charge is she not?”

Olore came back to all fours as Storm explained the situation to the ogre knight. His ears went flat to his skull as he listened to Nichtmar and Tsukasa say their pieces, and he swished his tail irritatedly. He noted the faint unease Nichtmar seemed to have and thought to resolve this once and for all. He adressed the ogre directly.
Nichtmar I know you are not comfortable around me and you are right not to be. I know you have had bad experiences with magic. But I am a force for good and will not harm you unless you make me. You are quite right that you must stay here. The city needs you and your experience. He broadened the sending to reach the other three;not caring how unnerving it might be for them.
Tsukasa, it is wise of you to stay as well. You have no personal stake in this, and no need to get involved. Were I to have my way I would go alone-but I know Authnor would stubbornly follow out of his sense of duty, and Storm for friendship's sake if nothing else. The stallion snorted as he swung his depthless indigo gaze to rest fully on the ogre once more. Not my charge, but I am bound to her,and bound to protect and guide her for as long as she wishes my friendship and company. I could be of much use to you and the defenders here but my place is with Elestirne and my bond and shame demand I go to retrieve her. And punish Telamon for her capture,if the opportunity comes. The silver stallion scraped a hoof agitatedly. But I have only a faint sense of a direction,something-ancient dark magic-blocks me from sensing more clearly. Whoever comes must be prepared to travel light and fast, for I will not delay. And thought must be given to whom will command Elestirne's elves if Authnor goes.
As if as an afterthought, Olore turned his head to regard Storm;remembering a suggestion the younger mortal had made. Elestirne and I journeyed to the Kyuden last night to alert them of the situation and ask their aid. I do not know if any will come in time to help the city, but we should let them know of Elestirne's capture. Perhaps Kotaro or the wind-walker will aid our search. They did before, and are in her debt now for her actions last winter.

Reaching out to his ladies escort, "Guard her well or it will be your head!" ----------------------
Masahiro was carried on mist and wind until he arrived close to Mittelmarch, the great city he once knew to be home and refuge for him and his people. He quickly reappeared in his true form as a solid figure before Mittelmarch. Sensing the one he sought for he reached out in his mind to his old friends from a former life, Nichtmar, Storm, Olore, and Tigron.
"I am here on neutral terms. I am in this for the return of my lands, I mean no actual harm upon you as long as its mutual. I wish to talk under the white flag in hopes of helping you in return for your help. If you are willing to talk, please advance outside the walls with a light escort to the small clearing in the middle of the small forest just east of Mittelmarch. I will be here, unarmed. Please consider with great thought for I can help you." Masahiro reached out with his mind to them.
Upon reaching the minds, Masahiro set up a small wooden table with mats all around and some shade above them. A couple of bottles of wine he fetched from his satchel. He took out a small map of the surrounding area and sat it in the middle of the table. He laid a bowl of fruits at one end and a small amount of meats on the other end of the table.
I shall sit and wait, Masahiro thought to himself

Storm having recieved the message himself had a flush of anger come to his face.
"So where is the common sense of siding with the enemy to get your lands back?! I do not believe you to be offering friendship when you have made an alliance with a lich, and then tell us that you want our friendship in secret. If you wanted your lands back why not request for aid from the other realms to help you take it back? I say no, send him away Nichtmar. He is a lying, decieving snake. Paladine help me I will kill you myself if you don't leave."

"Myself being the right hand man, carry out the wishes of the lich only because he holds my lands in the palm of his hand. I can get anyone close to him in Ravenwood and overthrow him and stop the invasion before it gets worse. The crown he carries on his head has the good mortal soul he once carried, his brother Tigron needs that soul to get his brother back. Also, I cannot overthrow him by myself because that crown amplifies his power and since there are about four thousand strong heading this way to take mittelmarch it might be in your best interest of doing so."
"I am still very much the person you once knew I have just gained a few new powers on the way and found out what my family hid from me. I am trying to help you do what you need to as well as help myself. I am neutral. If I wanted to I could have brought the undead scourge to your door steps at this moment stopping anyone from leaving. But I did not have I? I have come unarmed like I said. And I have done so. Why do you hold it over my head that I am evil."

Tsukasa stood there listening to everything that Masahiro had to say. He also study every little facial expression. After Masahiro finished speaking Tsukasa took a moment to take it all in.
"Nichtmar-san, I believe what Masahiro-san is saying is true. He did bring up a good point. If he wanted to bring destruction to Mittelmarch, he would have brought the undead with him. As far the siding with the side of evil, I can not begin to fathom the reasons why he decided to join the undead, but if it was to protect his homelands then I can not blame him. I do not think doing such a thing was wise though. I am not saying he should take him at his word, but I do believe we should give him a chance to prove himself."
Tsukasa glanced over at Storm for a moment.
"We have something that is more of a dire situation to take care of at the moment. Care to join me Storm-san?"

Olore had felt someone pushing at his mind and tying to contact him as he stood at the fountain after having convinced Authnor to stay. He recognized the identity of the sender, though something was wrong about it... He pawed the ground uneasily and gathered from the looks of the others that they had heard as well. Guardly, the group made their way out to the appointed place;Olore chafing at the delay the entire time.
He listened to what Denendir had to say but watched him with keen suspicion. His indigo eyes were unblnking and ears half back as he pawed at the ground agitatedly and swished his long silver tail every so often. Besides him, he could feel Authnor literally seething with anger as the warrior digested the revelation that Denendir was possibly a traitor and had turned.
The silver stallion shot the elf-knight a brief look of warning;putting his ears full back. Authnor caught on and checked himself before he ended up speaking. Olore could tell it was an effort for him though, and heard similar heat and hostility in Storm's voice when he answered Denendir, now seemingly called 'Masahiro.' Olore tossed his mane and pawed the ground impatiently. He was glad when Nichtmar told them to be on their way-even if he disagreed with revealing why-and he dipped his muzzle faintly to the ogre knight as he wheeled;shouldering Authnor pointedly to force the elf to move as well. As he departed though, he imparted some final words to Nichtmar. Decide what you will with Denendir. If he is sincere in offering help, take it for you are outnumbered, but be exceedingly wary. His actions will show his true intentions far more accurately than words. With that, the silver stallion followed the others.
