Likewise... A "Mist-er" works good. I made one from a garden sprayer... a one gallon pump filled with clean water, and the spray head set to a fine mist. on hot days it will keep you cool but not wet... that is unless you don't set the sprayhead to a fine enough mist.

Well we'll never see Sir Brogas at Rag now. He'll be somewhere sleeping off his sugar rush.

My vaca is scheduled the week before. However it looks like I may be able to move it to that week. Just not sure if Im up to a whole week. hurt my back in the first 2 hours of the O's on saturday. would hate to travel there only to do myself bodily harm on the first or second day. I am decidedly unhappy with the aging process. Not to mention the seemingly unending list of things I would need to get made or purchased between now and then. Old and a noob. not a good combination.... Particularly when one cant seem to get the hang of the fighting either.....
Hmmm, must be my first day back to work after a weeks vacation.... Im in the dumps....... Perhaps some sake would help......or better yet... Pineapple rum.......Hopefully the rum isn't gone.

I am decidedly unhappy with the aging process. Not to mention the seemingly unending list of things I would need to get made or purchased between now and then. Old and a noob. not a good combination.... Particularly when one cant seem to get the hang of the fighting either..... I started when I was 35 and a poor seminarian. I fought four years and retired. I was dragged back into the game at 42. I'm now 47. Garb, gear and armor have steadily improved in the last 9 years. I can't say the body or skill has kept pace. I highly, highly recomend a good chair, a good bed and ear pugs for rag. If you've got those things... life at Rag will be nicely tollerable. You'll servive and have fun.

Wow...you can get ear pugs....I want one! They'd be much easier to carry around than Fritz. LOL

Im sure I will. For some reason what started out to be a simple post devolved into a rant. not sure why. And now I must ask the truly important question..... why is the rum always gone?

I'd say you can make it on $100 if you eat LIGHT, but $200 is better.
Food...if you have no constraints you should try botches kitchen....for $55 you get breakfast and dinner. Lunch you are on your own but most people eat more like fruit and veggies until after fighting.
There is a walmart like 5 minutes away. You could buy lots of water a cheap food and spend about the same.
Some people hit chinese at least once....maybe get out for a movie midweek.
Merchants are a mix of deals....I've seen stuff from $5 to $200.
Gas..pitchin if you ride with or fill up if you drive. It is 4.5 hours East of Indy on 70.

umm i'd say $300 but then again if you are hitting the merchants alot that might last 3 days, likewise you might only need half that, but 300 sounds like a good number, and before everyone starts harping that i have never been to Rag to know think what i would say to you and imagine me saying it in your head
