Dude, if I recall my history right, didn't the Aztec's lay claim to most of Central America, Gulf Islands, and the lower portions of the US for awhile. Throw in the human sacrifices to their Gods and how they came about inventing soap and I'd hardly consider they're weapons useless. They were obviously doing something right, after all, Empire is not built upon the souls of the weak.

Hate to point this out as well buddy but if you are going for historically accurate then know this Thanatos is the personification of death in Greek myth. In fact the Greeks referred to dying as being touched by Thanatos, so absolutely no Greek would name their child Thanatos

But....but....Rune! Don't you see! His nickname would be so easy! And if he got good, or just decent think about the fun we'd have telling people they got Killed by MICKY! (...micqui=Mickay=Micky=Micky Mouse=/=Mighty Mose)

You're kind of set in stone now. We all remember you with the aztec name.
Lol, kidding. You can go where you want, dag is just like that. You can be as greek as you want. You'll get more points for looking authentic.

Besides, we have plenty of Greeks in Dag, seeing an Aztec persona would be a welcome change of pace. I know they exist already, but they're few and far between.

you can't create aztec weapons that are dag legal... its just not going to happen.. i looked and looked their weapons were basically clubs with large pieces of obsidian... and my name doesn't have to be really historically accurate just the gear

It can be done. Layer a core with the rectangular shape, added smaller rectangles to the sides to imitate the obsidian. Not at liberty to draw a simple picture. come out some time and I can demonstrate. If you're interested. I'm of a different opinion, I don't think theres too many greeks.

It's definitely possible. Covering it looks like a bitch and a half, though.

ok so just for the record, we usually caution people about choosing a name they cannot live up to, hence the reason you do not see any Hercules or Thor's running around, because people will object to such a name, and the name Thanatos being the name of the god of death falls into this category. Just a word of caution

Duc Daemont d'Marques (co-founder of Mittelmarch) went by Thanos or Thanatos on message boards and online games for years. But he realized that name wouldn't fit, game-wise.
Also... the Aztecs had spears and bows, and I'm pretty sure I see shields in some of these pictures.
And let's not forget how awesome it would be to see you garbed as a Jaguar or Eagle warrior. Or (and I'm rooting for this so hard) a Shorn One. I would totally dress as a Shorn One and fight side-by-side with you.

There is an SCA fighter, Sir Iz, that does his persona as an Aztec Jaguar warrior. Fur onesie and all. He's a BA fighter. I'll try and find videos of his kit and fighting style.
