The best "unbreakable shields" I have seen in my 12+ years has to be the Batlith. I think I spelled that right. Anyway, a good d cup on just about any weapon makes it easier to block with.
As for the sickle or kama, make it like a stacked axe with no more that a 12 inch blade and they pass. I've seen a set of kama's, and I think I even have an old one of mine that lasted a season or two before it died. Me I like axes, but I guess that's the Norse in me.

To Loki's child: That would be a bat'leth. I'm looking to buy one on eBay one of these days.
To Alric: Isn't it? I enjoy the contrast between Abe and Preston.

I'm making designs for a tonfa-style weapon. It's shaped like this:
.........ll <---handle =====ll==============
L_____blade___________J
I apologize for the rough sketch. Would this be legal?

Sorry, but, this is taken straight from the Dagorhir rules...
4.1.8.11. Disallowed weapons: Nets, lassos, pungi sticks, nunchucks, tonfas, double-ended daggers (this is not an exhaustive list).
They wont be legal, but you could still use them for local practices if they'll let you

because they use a punching motion for many of the attacks.
Imagine this: You go to strike someone, and one of you slips a bit and you just punched your opponent in the nose with a fistpack, shattering his nose. How would you feel if it was your nose?
Yes that is a "what if" but those what if's are the reasons all the safety rules were originally put into place.

In addition to what Dhugal said...
Tonfas provide constant anvilling, which makes them confusing and overpowered.

Ah, ok. That makes sense. Soooo..... How about a sword that's like, a foot wide and about five feet tall? That'd be cool. Unwieldy, but cool.

Eh, it wouldnt be that heavy and it would scare the begeezes out of most people. Deffinately wouldnt advise ever using it one handed...you'll hurt your wrists But, its possible to make and would be legal. You're thinking of a buster sword, arent you

But that is a good example. The thing is, I have enough PVC, it's just that I'd need a LOT of foam. Like, a mat and a half. But it'd look awesome.

From a rules perspective, go right ahead. It will probably hit just as soft as a normal red (and probably softer since you won't be able to swing it that hard).
From a logical perspective, this is something you won't use that often, and the waste in time and materials (especially if it doesn't last long) won't be worth it.

Point. So are there ANY crazy weapons that aren't illegal or impractical? I can't think of any.

You can make throwing stars as long as they are coreless. Make sure they are at least 4" in diameter. I would just layer some blue foam. They will count as White (death to head, no effect anywhere else).

They'd have to be weighted somehow. Otherwise they might end up behind you.

Just blue foam is enough weight. Zaron brought some strange pink foam back from work one day, and I cut it into the shape of an axe and covered it with blue foam. It flew just fine within about 15 feet, and I hit a tree about 8 of 10 times from 10 feet.
The pink foam was lighter than blue foam of equal size, so if you cut blue foam into the shape you want and layer it three times, then wrap around the perimeter, you'll have about what I made, and it would probably be softer with a truer flight path.

Nice. I'd have to start calling you Sephiroth. ;D Seriously, wouldn't that be VERY difficult to use? It's like swinging a flagpole! (I know I'm exaggerating) I could see how a big guy like you could use it, but it'd still be slower, would it not?
