Hey everyone,
I am about to start making my first shield and I wanted to get some advice. I have some plywood, 1/2", straps, bolts and things. I also have plenty of the blue camping foam and Dap/spray adhesive. I've seen plenty of designs online and didn't know what would work best. Basically it's coming down to just blue foam everywhere, or blue foam everywhere with the waffle pattern inside so it won't be as hard and will save me some pad. Or I have some 2" polyfoam (open cell, soft seat cushion type) pieces from work that are left over. I can put that on the outside or in the middle of a layer of blue foam. I was thinking if I put that on the outside it would be too pillowy but in the middle layer with blue foam on the outside might make it cushy but firm. Thanks!
