Highlander Tourney
Rules:
Dueling and damage:
At the end of Fights and tourneys (Sunset) the Highlander with the most tags will be declared winner. If at any point after 2pm saturday only one highlander remains, the tourny ends and the remaining highlander is declared winner.
Safe areas include:
vendor area
pavilion
participating in another tourney
------------------------------------------
I would make all the tags and everything needed. Looking for suggestions/gaps in rules. Also taking suggestions on what the prize should be.
Rules:
- Free to join initially. May rejoin after dying for $1.
- Only red swords and bats are allowed. No poles or pole like weapons
(In general, only weapons that do not have haft padding are allowed). - Everyone participating will get a white cloth tag. Wearing the tag openly means you are available for dueling.
- Anyone else displaying their tag may challenge you to a duel, or you can challenge them.
(The declarer must have their tag displayed in order to challenge, or the challenge is not recognized) - Duels are 1 vs 1.
- You may only refuse a duel if you are in a safe area, or not displaying your tag.
In both cases you may only refuse a duel 3 times before you must give your tag and all accumulated tags to the challenger.
If refused, the challenger may only challenge you again after a reasonable amount of time.
(min. 20 mins unless challenged is in a tourney, then min is end of the challenged participation in tourney.) - If challenged and not in any of the safe areas you must accept or forfeit your tag and all tags.
If on the battlefield, the fighters step to the side and declare an honor duel with all previous wounds healed.
Challenges must be declared within 5 feet of the challenged.
(no yelling a challenge across a field) - If a highlander is heralding they may not be challenged.
- After losing a battle the defeated highlander gives his cloth tag (with their name on it) and all previous accumulated tags to the victor.
- After a duel a highlander may rest for 10 mins and does not have to accept a challenge until after that time, but may accept before if they choose.
- If during a duel a fighter receives a head shot they may end the duel with no victor (not mandatory). This is for safety concerns. If you continually throw head shots you will be removed from the tourney.
- After ending a duel due to head shot the participants (both) may not duel again with anyone for a min of 10 mins
Dueling and damage:
- Only red weapons can damage a highlander.
- Green damage can not kill a highlander but can injure limbs.
- An armored highlander takes blue damage to armor from reds.
(ie, armor counts for two hits against swung weapons) - A highlander is killed with a hit to the torso.
Limbs do not count towards death.
A highlander may submit at anytime to their opponent, and be at the mercy of their opponent if they wish to end the duel early. - A highlander, after losing a limb, may start a loud ten count.
This count must be close to or around 10 seconds (no speed count) If the highlander finishes this count all wounds are healed.
If a new wound is taken during this count, the count must start over.
At the end of Fights and tourneys (Sunset) the Highlander with the most tags will be declared winner. If at any point after 2pm saturday only one highlander remains, the tourny ends and the remaining highlander is declared winner.
