ya most ppl use pvc I just happend to have some fiber rods that I've always used. I don't remember much about the sched anymore but i'd say you could probably use it for most blues at least. sry for my first post was feeling a bit sarcastic.

i would say you probably don't want to make a red out of it but almost any blue can be made from pvc and will work ok, eventually it will break, but then again almost all weapons do in time

I've had PVC cores that have lasted ten years. even with Newbie use. My origional hand and a half is still in service... (although it's been rebuilt with new foam) I am suspicious that 10 years ago the quality of the PVC was supirior to what they make today. Only my origional red has broken... but it was stepped on by a careless Nube, otherwise I'm conviced I would still have it.
Frost only uses fiberglass golf club shafts. That's the way to go for lightness and speed. but it seems to me that they twist on the core rather quickly... not enough surface area for guirilla glue to really grip. I think the cores need to be wrapped with some kind of double sided grippy tape.... but they repair quickly... so... I doubt he'll make that modification.

If you use Sced 80 and put a strong dal rod in it, it makes an incredibly strong core that is very heavy if that is what you wish for a weapon. That is what manslayer is. Although be worned it will weigh quite abit more than a red made with a fiberglass core.

I've been making a lot of pvc weapons mostly blues that weight right at minimum weight. But Sced 80 I've made a flail with that's not bad. Only sced 80 I've ever used to make a weapon.

I meant GLaive not flail. 2 handed red with a stabby.

Honestly for a glaive you're better off using a bandshoppe pole. It's lighter, very strong, and has abit more give, but definatly doesn't flex too much, so it's easier to make it safe as well.
