Can anyone give me some help? I want to make a daisho,(a katana and a wakizashi), but how do i make bent swords? And can i make it look somewhat like a katana. What i mean is with the single striking surface, and have the taper look to it? Or is that against the rules. I know the tip cant be tapered though.

You'll want to bend the PVC slightly for a really katana-esque look.
Basically, buy a heat gun. Fill up the PVC pipe you want to bend with sand, and cap off both ends. Do NOT glue the caps on. Using a pair of heavy gloves, try to evenly heat up the length of the pipe until it's pliable. The sand will help spread the heat evenly, and make sure you don't nasty kinks in the pipe.
When you're ready to bend, move it into shape. To make sure you get the same curve every time, you put some pegs into a board to hold the PVC in shape while it cools.

Yes I am going to make an oriental persona. He will start as a wandering peasant who learns the way of the sword when he finds one on a battlefield after a battle many years ago, and when i myself reach the rank of footman i will become a wandering ronin looking for a master. When I get a master that will train me to get the ranks to become a ranger. Then i will try and add the rank of high gaurd to my belt. At that point hopefully my master would accept me into his service and make me a samurai. Hopefully then I will have enough money to make a suit of samurai armor. If i don't get a master I will still ascend the ranks but the master will only be in my backstory. Here is the kicker, I was orphaned as a child from an english couple, so I won't be a truely oriental persona.

actually i will follow the path of the ranks of the samurai ranks in the shogunate, instead of peasant>ronin>samurai everything else will be about the same.

Speaking of the shogunate, i had a question about oriental by choice, not by birth. where would be the correct location to pose said question?

Cool. And, is it a problem that i wouldn't be planing on using a sword? A Kanabo seems infinitely more intriguing.
edit: after reading some of the tou fuu shogunate pages, i have discovered that, it would appear at least, that this seems to be allowed. Kanabo seems to just be another name for a Tetsubo.

so will you be attempting to make it a red or a blue weapon? I've made both of those, and theirs a few tricks you can use to help keep them light. I just callem war clubs.

mmk, just so you know, we probably wont let you use it until we see you as a safe fighter. New members are pretty much stuck with single blue for a little while

Which only consists of a katana and a wakizashi, both blues. A tetsubo shouldn't even enter into the equation until you know how to use a red safely.

Sorta Rojji, we may or may not let you participate in a field battle with a red weapon, and yes you will have to at least prove yourself proficient enough not to hurt someone, however, the only way you will learn to be safe with a red weapon is to practice with it, and given that it is your weapon, you can use it in sparring with vetran fighters one on one, until you learn to use it safely, though we may say no since we might not want to get hit in the head and such

I'll work with you on red fighting you two, if you dont work with tatsumura, whenever practices start up again. I did the same thing when i started fighting, i fought with red axes only for about 3 months before i made my first shield and made a lot of people mad I had some good teachers when i was learning though, so i'll do my best to get you guys set up. And most veterans can teach you stuff for footwork and single blue.
