What are the requirements for bows? Like do we have to tape them? Draw strength? Bow type?

No compound bows, 30lbs, yes you have to mod them you can't just go shooting off arrows willy-nilly. Read the rules (http://www.dagorhir.com/dagorhir/Rules.htm#Weapons) and look at www.dagorhir.com/HowTo/DagorhirArrow.html

I thought it was 35 lbs. draw at 28 inches pull. As for colors, I'm not sure.

I might be wrong on the bow strength and in my defense: 1. I gave the guy the resources to find the information himself 2. I hate archers.

Thistle likes to pierce my face at every event. Thus my planned leather helmet and mask.

one strategy is if you have alot of archers have them hide at a certain line, and whenever you are way too outnumbered you run to them. You get chased and when you are close enough you slide like you would in baseball. Then they pop up and nail them.

I'm going to tell you now, that that would be essentially impossible in a flat Dag field.
Archer's do a couple of things. They either roam around the field sniping people, or they do the occasional volley to break up the crowd in bi line battles.
So, my advice is to practice your aim. Good Dag archers can tag someone in the head from 100 feet or more.

Yeah everything got covered, 35lb draw at 28 inches, bows can be any color really, they make no real restrictions other then draw strength

i just hate archers cuz im usually the one they shoot at first and im the one that goes and hunts the archers down. and kotaro completely agree with you. ive had plenty of times getting hit by both thistle and her daughter at the same time. not fun and matrix moves dont always work with them. they do say that i make for good target practice cuz of how much i move around.

I think I actually did dodge an arrow once by Matrix-dodging. Got killed a few seconds later, but it was cool.

Probably a dumb question but would a ballista that fires a javelin or a catapult that fires a rock be out of the question? and i heard someone talk about crossbows? All the crossbows i have seen in sporting goods stores are compound and they all have HUGE draw weights.

No crossbows, but people have made ballista's and catapaults. I believe they are classed as black weapons.

Crossbows are allowed, 35 lbs. draw strength maximum. Good luck finding one that loose, though.
