I haven't bought leather products from them, but what I did buy is of good quality. For armor though I preffe to stick with someoone who knows the requirmentsin Dag and will make custom armor fited to yoo to boot!. For example, Thigvald is making me some custom fitted bracers and greaves for a 100. He's willing to work with those of us (me) who are on a budget. Here's his info and an example. mc1csmo@aol.com. Photobucket is s297.photobucket.com/albums/mm233/mc1csmo/Hope it helps.

Thanks Zig. I'll check it out. Seems like a pretty good deal (cheaper than what I'd be paying MC at least).
Anybody else have some input? I'm looking for multiple opinions here...

Also, isn't 7/8 oz. too thin to be considered armor? I was told 13/15 is what you want.

i agree with zigler and if you go with someone that is in dag you'll get custom armour unlike if you go with a website like what you've shown.

Hello, Thigvald here. Thats my photobucket being passed around (Thanks btw). I only work with 13-15oz armor grade leather. The thickness isn't always uniform throughout a hide, but the minimum will qualify for Dag. I do alot with the leather to make it much more than qualify too, like add metal plates (brass, etc) and expose it from under thinner tooling leather to reveal elaborate patterns. I don't have an example up yet, but I should soon. I strongly suggest you do not work with sites like Medieaval Collectables and their cheaper version site, Dark Knight Armoury. They are pretty crappy materials and workmanship and overpriced and you will not get any custom capabilities. I suggest working with custom metal and leather workers in the same way that you would get a more form fitting and better product from a seamstress (like Brenna who does some nice tunics at Dag, and had sone a few for me) than a standard size job from one of these places. If you have any questions, feel free to email me or send me an IM. There's just too many options to post and I do almost all custom work, even if its the difference between a grooved outline on a bracer vs a spiral tooling line I'd be happy to recommend you to others who might be more a specialist than I (I work with metals, but I'm no smith for example, so any metal work, I'd refer to others). I can order quite a bit from people I've done business with the spruce up and make an armor piece really pop. Its only limited by the time to make it and how much you are willing to spend. I can make reasonably cheap items with no frills and I'll offer package deals for more things in an order and save you on shipping too, or I can make your dream armor with all kinds of add-ons, and still keep it combat functional. Even if you don't work with me though, stay clear of the mass-production sites, only a few are any good, and even then, you will wish down the road you went with a custom job. Cheers! Mitch/Thigvald

Sorry it's taken so long for me to respond to you. My internet has been very screwy recently and it won't let me stay online for more than a minute or two.
Anyways, I want you to know that I'm interested in some black leather armor. Greaves and bracers are a definite go for now, but I want to know what kind of deal you can make with me for a cuirass as well. If you tell me what kind of size specifications you need, I can get them for you. I'll try to send you a PM with the kinds of ideas I have in mind for how I'd like the armor to look and the possible emblems I might use.
Also, I have a friend who would like a quote on very simple leather bracers and greaves, separate and combined costs. No frills, really. Just standard brown leather.
Thanks! I look forward to doing business with you!

Send me an email at mc1csmo@aol.com. I'll give you a package deal for multiple items. I can give you a list of base prices and pics that show add-ons and such.
Best,
MC
