Hey, does anyone know where to get some good dag boots that you can fight in, or how to make them?

Boot City has Minnetonka moccasins for about $30-$60 depending on the style.... It is just south of Terre Haute. About 1-1 1/2 hrs away from Indy. Dhugal and I sometimes stop in there to check things out when we come up there to visit Mittelmarch.

The outpost also has then. I believe its in the Lafyette square mall on the east side, much better than going 1 1/2 hours out of your way and for the boots I have they were I believe $70

For my footwear, I just bought some moccasins from the craft store for like fifteen bucks, and replaced the shoe-string crap they give you to hold them together w/ leather lacing. they look pretty sweet.

I just wear sambas. I'm not quite into the whole garb thing, and sambas are good shoes.

While I understand the "not quite into the whole garb thing" mentality, you must remember that garb is a REQUIRED aspect of Dagorhir, and you should strive to at least meet the requirements, if not exceed them. Chainmail over a t-shirt and jeans just doesn't look all that realistic.
I LOVE Sambas, but you should be careful when it's wet. They're indoor soccer shoes and have flat bottoms. I was playing outdoor soccer (in gym class) and wearing Sambas, and I slipped and dislocated my kneecap. I have patellar laxity (loose kneecaps), so it's not likely to happen to anyone else, but they're still not the greatest outdoor shoes.
