Yes, it is totemo important desu! But why?
Say you have a 3/4" PVC core and you wanna make a weapon! To cover 1 foot of the length of the striking surface in foam you COULD cut a piece of the blue stuff (camping foam from Wal-Mart) into the dimensions of 21" x 3" with the width sides coming to about a 40º angle and parallel. This will give you your first layer of foam. I don't have the measurements of the next layer for this method and I don't aim to find out right now. I'm just recording this as my "Biscuit Wrap" technique!
Remember, these measurements are rough. Depending on how tightly you wrap, You could be off by a half inch.
