I believe this chapter is the closest Dagorhir fighting to Lafayette, but you can look at dagorhir.com/chapters for a complete listing of Dagorhir realms. There are other foam games out there like Amtgard or Belegarth, they might have something closer.

General Information: • The Assassin’s Tournament will run Saturday night from 8:00 pm – midnight. • Marks must sign-up to participate in the tournament at Troll from 1:00 pm Friday to 5:00 pm Saturday. • Participants wishing to be Assassins will meet at the playground on Saturday at 7:45 pm; Assassins will have the opportunity to clarify tournament rules and receive their “gold coins” and “List of Targets.” Assassins cannot participate in the tournament without attending this meeting.
Tournament Rules: • All Assassins will be issued a list of the tournament Marks (“List of Targets”) and will have the duration of the tournament to “assassinate” as many Marks on the list as possible. The first Assassin to submit their completed “List of Targets” sheet to Tari before midnight, or the Assassin with the highest number kills at midnight wins the tournament. If a tie results, the competitors will fight as they were equipped for the tournament and the victor of the match is declared tournament champion. • Marks will be issued (5) stickers unique to each individual when they sign-up for the tournament at Troll. After an Assassin “assassinates” a Mark, the Mark will place (1) of their stickers next to their name on that Assassin’s sheet to signify they have been “assassinated.” Assassins have one kill per Mark. • Assassins will be issued (5) “gold coins” with which to spend at the Information Dealer (Dorian), at the start of the tournament. In exchange for (1) gold coin, the Assassin is provided one “hint” about a specific Mark. • Marks provide this “hint” about themselves at tournament sign-up. “Hints” may include, but are not limited to, unit or realm affiliation, friends and allies, years of Dagorhir experience, etc. • Once the tournament begins, participants are on their own aside from the following circumstances: ***If a Mark expends all (5) stickers, they must obtain more from Tari. ***If a Mark does not wish to continue game play, they must report to Tari and request to remove their name from the tournament. The Mark will trade in their stickers for a white armband, signifying they are removed from the tournament and cannot be “assassinated” (or bothered) for the remainder of the tournament. Note: This does not erase your name from the “Target List,” which every Assassin will have. Wear your white armband in a clear and obvious place to avoid unwanted attacks.
Combat Rules: • Assassins may wield dagger-style green weapons or blue weapons with a stabbing point. Assassins may only inflict green damage. • Marks and Guards may wield dagger-style green weapons, blues and shields. • Guards may defend their Mark if attacked but they cannot initiate combat. • All participants may be armored as they choose. • Fighting within “Merchant’s Row” is prohibited. • If “assassinated,” Marks have (2) minutes to “respawn” before another Assassin can make an attempt. This time includes the Mark awarding their sticker to a successful Assassin. • If “killed” in combat with a Mark, Assassins must “respawn” at the pavilion before they can make another assassination attempt. • Above all, be honorable, be safe, and have respect for your opponents and their friends.
Please direct questions regarding the Olympics X Assassin’s Tournament to Tari or mittelmarch@gmail.com.

General
When is Troll & Weapons Check? The site opens to attendees at 1:00 pm on Friday, April 5, 2013. Troll will remain open until 11:00 pm and reopen at 8:00 am Saturday morning. Weapons check will open by 9:00 am on Saturday morning.
Is feast provided at the event? Yes! Feast is provided Saturday night only for campers and day-trippers who pay for feast. See more about food and cooking in “Fire Pits and Cooking.”
Are there bathrooms and showers on-site? Yes, there are bathrooms with showers located in the pavilion. Bring your own towel and toiletries.
What is the age limit for Olympics? All ages are welcome to Olympics. Fighters must be 16 years of age. If under the age of 18, you must provide a notarized waiver by a legal guardian and have a chaperone on-site over 18 years of age.
How do we contact Olympics event coordinators? You can contact Mittelmarch event staff by visiting our forum space at mittelmarch.com, emailing mittelmarch@gmail.com, and joining our event page on Facebook.
Pricing
What is the pricing for Olympics? $18 = pre-registration, cabin or tenting $20 = gate fee, feast and weekend camping $10 = day trip Saturday, fighting only, no feast
Age 15 and younger = $10 weekend camping or day trip Age 5 and younger = free! NOTE: Fighting age for Olympics is 16
Do non-combatants pay the same price as combatants? Yes. Our pre-registration covers our campsite fees and feast for all weekend attendees. These prices are not negotiable.
Is there an additional fee for merchants? No, however an event coordinator must approve booth space prior to the event, inside or outside. Tent space outside and table space inside is at a first come, first serve basis.
Pre-Registration
When does pre- registration close? Pre-registration for Olympics X will close Sunday March 31, 2013. Cabin pre-registration will close when all cabin spaces are full. Email mittelmarch@gmail.com with questions or clarifications about your registration.
How do I pre-register for a cabin? You can select "Cabin" during your pre-registration to reserve a cabin space. You can also pre-register for more than one person at a time.
Can I reserve an entire cabin for my realm or unit? Yes. To guarantee your group will share the same cabin, pre-register you entire group at one time and reserve a cabin by selecting "Cabin.’ You can also write in the comments box which realm or unit you represent, which could save you some time at Troll. Please include names of the entire group.
NOTE: Reserving cabin spaces at different times does not guarantee there will be enough space for your entire group. Cabin space is reserved on a first come, first serve basis.
Garb Policy
What is the garb policy at Olympics for non-combatants/participants? Attendees staying on site either or both nights of the event, participants and non-combatants, must meet Dagorhir garb standards at all times. Non-combatants day tripping to the event, (i.e., parents who wish to sit on the sidelines and watch,) are not required to wear garb, though an attempt to wear period colors or patterns is preferred as it adds to event realism. Event entry fees still apply.
I am attending the event during the day to take pictures and video, do I still have to wear garb? Attendees using multi-media devices must wear a yellow tunic. If you are able, inscribe "photography" across tunic, as it sets your apart from the field heralds. Event entry fees still apply.
NOTE: Mittelmarch events follow Dagorhir regulations and garb policies for all participants. As part of Dagorhir garb regulations, if any member of the event staff finds your garb to be outside the realm of Dagorhir standards, you may be asked to change into attire that is more appropriate. Please see the Dagorhir MOA for more information.
Cabins
NOTE: There are (6) cabins on site with (4)bunk beds each, totaling (8) beds per cabin. There are outlets along the floorboards and an overhead light. There are windows with closeable doors. There is no running water or kitchen equipment in the cabins.
How are cabin spaces determined? You can select a cabin space during pre-registration. Cabins are first come, first serve. If cabins remain after pre-registration closes, empty spaces are open at Troll. Gate fee is still $20 for on-site cabin reservation.
Is bedding provided in the cabins? No. Pillows, blankets and sheets are not provided in the cabins. Each bed has a small cot on a metal (twin) frame. TIP: Although the cabins have an electrical hook up and an overhead light, flashlights are recommended in case the electrical system is down in your cabin... and your cabin mates will thank you if you avoid the overhead light when they’re sleeping.
Can we have more than 8 people sleep in a cabin? Yes, (if you do not mind the floor,) but there are only (8) beds provided. Beds cannot be moved to and from other cabins.
Fire Pits & Cooking
Are ground fire pits allowed at the Olympics? The main camping area near the cabins and pavilion are off limits for ground fire pits. Camping at the bottom of the hill and back in the wood allow ground fire pits. An event coordinator must approve all fire pit locations. At your fire pit location, you must dig out the top soil and returned on Sunday morning.
Can I bring my own above ground fire bowl? Yes. Above ground fire bowls are allowed in all camping areas, as well as charcoal and propane grills. Fire rings or any other open flame placed directly on the ground is not permitted in restricted areas.
How can I cook my food? What food should I bring? Olympics staff recommends you pack foods that do not require more than an open flame to cook. The pavilion fire is open for cooking but be advised that it isn't a cooking fire, so your soup or Stir-fry ensemble might be difficult. Try light foods in a cooler that won't spoil to avoid cooking... like fruit, protein bars or granola.

Here is a list of things to keep in mind before Ragnarok, especially if this is your first time attending:
----Bring a photo ID and a printed copy of your registration if you pre-registered! A lot of things can go wrong with 1000+ people going through the gate at Troll, so you may need to verify you have paid or you might have to pay again!
----Everyone, even if you are just drinking water, must have a period container to drink from in the evening! This used to be, and I believe still is a Ragnarok rule.
----Ragnarok's camping is set up by unit and/or realm in pre-selected camp sites OR mercenary (MERCs) row, which is down the road on the right side of the hill. If you do not have a campsite, you'll be in MERCs row, which is not a bad thing because I hear it can be pretty fun. Just be mindful if this and respect your campsite and those camping around you. Clean up after yourself daily; trash, personal belongings ect. If you leave your things out, your stuff can be thrown out or stolen.
----If you are under age and get caught drinking, you, your chaperon, and possibly your camp master can get kicked out. Basically, follow the rules of your camp master and be responsible!
----If you are riding with someone else to Ragnarok or frequently hitch a ride to town, offer up some gas money if you can, even if it’s $5. Be generous and courteous, it makes any campsite better. Also keep in mind that other than a gas station and a McDonald's, everything else is a 20 minute drive, so plan accordingly.
----There is a lake about a mile away from the campsite, where I would recommend swimming verses the streams at Rag. Just bring some water shoes!
Basic Items to Have:
WATER! You'd be amazed at how much water your body needs at Ragnarok... Be prepared to purchase more bottled water mid-week. Use Ragnarok’s ground water for cleaning your garb, washing dishes, etc. (Don't drink it. It's lake water. It's gross.)
MUNDANE CLOTHES! Keep a change of clothes in the car so they are clean for the ride home. (Trash bags are nice to keep them dry.) Most Pilot gas stations have showers... might be a good pit-stop before the long drive.
EXTRA CASH! Merchant’s Row is a great place to pick up last minute things like drinking cups, garb, even weapons! It’s also nice to have cash to help with fire wood and food for camp. There is an ATM on site for emergencies.
EXTRA SUPPLIES! Make sure you have weapons or weapon supplies to fall back on. Your favorite weapon may not pass or could break mid-week.
TOILETRIES! Shower stuff like soap, a towel, extra contacts, ect. are necessary (because showers are necessary.) If you don’t think so, two days at Rag will make you change your mind, then you’ll WISH you had shower supplies, and so will your camp-mates.
And just as a disclaimer…
If it is your average Ragnarok, it WILL RAIN at least twice, it WILL BE HOT during the day, and it WILL BE COLD at night! Plan accordingly for ANY form of weather the entire week. Have garb that can be layered and be prepared to get wet WHEN it rains. Bring trash bags in case your tent gets flooded. Bring a thick blanket or a cloak to stay warm a night.
Happy Packing! See you at Ragnarok!
