"aaaaah--COOOOOOOO!" the sneeze echos throughout the woods as Zigler continues his journey towards the Too Fuu Shogunate. The many cold hours spent in the 'bark tent' with no fire had been of no help.
"At least the snow has stopped, still cold though. Tired, can't sleep here though." (Sigh)"Which leaves me with one option."
Reaching into his belt pouch Zigler removes a small bottle, twisting the cap off he removes two of the bright green tablets from within. Swallowing one while chewing the other into powder and placing the resultant mash underneath his tongue provides Zigler with a quick burst of energy, and a VERY bad taste in his mouth.
"No matter how I take it, it still tastes horrible, and kids listen up! Drugs are bad, don't take them without consulting your local Healer first," Zigler says to himself. Looking up past the trees he sees that the tower has come much closer and in fact he can glimpse it's base through the trees.
"Okay, get across the field, go up to the gates, knock on the door. Simple enough right? Sure if it weren't for the fact your going to collapse and hallucinate soon. Idiot. What made take the Methyl anyway, you could have made it on your own. No, no I couldn't we, I were, arggh, was about to collapse. Enough! lets just get there, pass on any information we can and then let the cards fall where they may."
By the end of this diatribe Zigler is at the gates of the tower, having past the small town of hastily erected structures and the people building them. He may have seen one or two familiar faces, but Zigler's need to reach the gates was all consuming.
Reaching the gates Zigler looks at the single guard accusingly, "Well, what are you waiting for, I need to see your Master. Please go tell him that Zigler Robertson from MittelMarch wishes to speak with him."
The gaurds face begins to swim in Zigler's vision, and he appears to be speaking but Zigler can't understand him. All he knows is that his former Lord, Arthur Dugald is about to take Miss Angelina against her will for the first time.
**********5 years ago**********
Zigler stands at the front gate of the Lord Dugald's Keep. The Lords soldiers had taken Angelina from his small hut, from his very BED! to satisfy the perverse desires of their Lord against her will. "Let me in!" shouts Zigler as he bangs on the gate's doors. "Let. Me. IN! or I'll do worse then huff and puff! Fists pound against the gate as Zigler reaches for the huge hammer and.....
***********Now*****************
....continues to demand entry while shouting for someone named Angelina and decrying curses on someone named Lord Dugald. The guard, once frozen in shock now tries to restrain the insane Bard and pull him back from the gate. After a short struggle the guard knocks Zigler in the head with his sword hilt and Zigler collapses onto the ground, still demanding to see "Angelina..."

The snow storm had not come up suddenly, but Zigler didn't expect to be unable to see ten feet in front of him. By his best estimates the storm had not reached the Shoogunate yet, but it would eventually. This was cold comfort for Zigler as the snow finally takes the better of him......and he runs head first into a tree.
"Dammit! Who put that there! krap and tarnation. I'd better find a place to bed down before I get lost, or worse frozen."
With that said Zigler begins constructing a crude shelter from the dead branches on the ground, and the bark off the trees, he also collects wood for a small fire. It's not the best shelter, but it keeps the wind out. Zigler hunches over the small pile of twigs as he tries to light the fire with a piece of flintsteel and a striker.
"I hope this storm doesn't last too long. (spark) damn. well, nothing ever works on the first try, (spark) lets keep at it. If nothing else talking outloud has always kept your spirits up before. (spark). (spark).(spark).(spark).(spark).(spark). Damn! Maybe I should have taken my Song book with me instead of entrusting it to Baethor, at least it would have made better kindling!" But Zigler knows he had to leave it behind, if only to convince the dwarf that he was coming back and to not send a party out after him.

Many days have passed, and for others events of more import have occurred, but Zigler has spent his time waiting, watching and memorizing. "Soon Suihaden will be able to walk, if the medics can be believed, and I must begin traveling to the Shogunate."
For the past few days Zigler has been signing in the bars frequented by the Jovian soldiers. Giving them cheap laughs and free beer while all the time collecting any information about troop movements, strengths, and plans. He has also been singing around town, trying to lift the spirits of the conquered.
Now standing in his small room at a downtown inn, Zigler begins to assemble supplies and a pack for the long, cold journey ahead. Removing his chain mail an knife from underneath a loose floorboard he carefully conceals them and then sets off to visit Suihaden one last time, and to tell the injured man of his plans. ______________________________________________________ The medic building is now only partially full of the wounded and sick. Some survived their aliments, others simply died from their wounds.Suihaden is located in the middle of the room, near the fire pit.
Sitting down next to Suihaden's bed I lightly grasp his hand in order to gain his attention. "I'm going on a walkabout Sui, I don't know when I'll be back but I need to clear my head and search for a few things. I'll have a few supplies with me, my Too-fuu for one and when it runs out I guess I'll forage." Coached in the words is my true message. 'It is my intention to go and search for other survivors, I will start at the doors of the Shogunate and decide where to go from there.'Zigler heads out amongst Sui's protests, knowing what he must do.
As I reach the center of the city and approach the bridge memories of the battle resurface and grab my full attention. I don't even notice the Jovian soldier until his spear point is at my throat. "And where do you think your going scum!" "Walkabout, your master, Capetian Kain gave me permission to come and go as I please. Now that my friend is well I feel a powerful urge to escape my memories and recollect my thoughts." The guard looks distrusting, but he lowers the spear. "Perhaps you can do my a favor. There is a new Sargent named Baethor amongst your ranks," the guards spine stiffens at the name,"please make sure this gets to him, along with my request that he keep it safe until I return." With a smooth motion I withdraw a leather bound book from my cloak and hand it to the guard. Without another word I walk past the guard and towards the Great Wood, taking great care to walk away from my destination.

Not knowing what else to do, Zigler travels back to the city along with the remainder of the caravan in hopes of hearing good news about his friend. 'Why?,' Zigler thinks to himself,'Why has this happened, why have I been given freedom to move about as I wish?, Are things really that bad in the city that the Jovian's need anything to distract the citizens from their plight?' 'I never really got to know Kain all that well, but he seemed to be a good and honorable sort. And he did tend to Suihaden's wounds immediately. Maybe these Jovians...'
At that moment Zigler looks up towards Kyuden Tatsumura and sees the flags flying in the wind, his eyes widen as he recognizes the black and gold M against a green background that symbolized MittelMarch. He nods to himself and thinks, 'I don't care, they took something that didn't belong to them and it should be taken back! I may not be the best, but surely better minds then mine have survived. I will find them and follow them for the return of my adopted home. Suihaden, I will stick with you until you can walk, but then I will travel to the Shogunate and report on what I have seen within the city's walls. If Kain is going to give me freedom then I shall use it as a weapon against him, the traitor Baethor, and all the Jovians.'
"So tell me," Zigler asks his fellow traveling companions,"has anyone ever told you folks the story of Kitsune and the Master of Zen? No? Well now listen closely my friends...."

(OCC: I would have pulled my ques from Suihaden, but on the plus side you spelled my name right and for that I thank you)
Before the soldiers could bind him Zigler shouts, "baethor! Suihaden has only recently started recovering from his wounds. If you truly meant your words let me construct a stretcher for him."
The dwarf nods his consent and the soldiers begin gathering wood for the stretchers construction. Laying the bound Suihaden upon it I and one of the soldiers lift him off the ground and begin to carry him toward the Jovian caravan. Once there Zigler sees familiar faces from both sides of the battle.
Surrounded by Jovian soldiers in a small group of civilians and old warriors the half-human known as Zigler sits on the ground and waits for the caravan to move again, and for his friend to awaken.

"Sui you don't look so good man, here, hang on a sec," Zigler says as he rifles through his belt pouch. As Suihaden tells of his injuries Zigler begins to assemble a simple, but potent elixir that utterly destroys infections that he picked up during his travels in the Northern Reaches.
"Now where did I put that, ah ha! Here swallow this," Zigler hands Suihaden the bitter tasting brew. He then goes looking through his pouches again for an ointment. "Let me see your back." Zigler grimaces and holds his nose as the gangrenous wound is exposed to fresh air. "Hold still Sui and bit down on the hilt of my sword, we don't want you screaming this close to the Jovians." Zigler applies the ointment which, mercifully, works quickly on the wound.
Falling into a sitting position next to his wounded comrade, Zigler lets out a deep sigh and lets himself look at what he only so recently gained, and even more recently lost. As he and Suihaden stare at the towns walls they see a company of Jovian soldiers forming rank around a large group of civilians.
"Sui, can you walk? Cause I think we need to get moving NOW."

The fighting at the bridge was fierce and both the Jovian’s dead and the dead of MittelMarch were piled high on it. Zigler hadn’t been one of the first to rally to his new homes defense, but he wasn’t the last and he fought with all his heart and skill. However, no matter how brave his intentions, Zigler was knocked out by a Jovian flail within the first few clashes of the battle.
I awake with the smell of death in my nose and the sounds of battle in my ears. Something heavy is pinning me to the ground as I try to worm my way free. Looking back towards the center of town I see that I was trapped by the dead bodies of people I had only barely begun to know, and the flags of the Empire I had tried to help fight.
The stench reaches my nose again as I look at the Jovian Empires flag being raised high over MittelMarch’s walls. Not knowing what to do or where to turn I run aimlessly towards the woods and try to escape my memories of the slaughter. After what seems like hours of running I finally see the ground in front of my face and I wonder, “Will it catch me?” ________________________________________________________ "For me to live is Christ, and die again."
The first words I hear in what seems like days awaken me. Looking up from where I had fallen the night before, I see a man dressed in brown and holding onto a staff for support. Attaining a sitting position I ruffle some fallen leaves, thus announcing my presence.

We already worked out the deal, $30 and the corpse of a blue that I have. As for making it to Cold Blood, when and where is it? If it's during the first 3 weeks of December I can't, have finals to grade and shit.

this is Oof posting from Zigs comp
ok yeah sorry about being late on this folks but to my chagrin mapquest is not able to find the farm so i will just post dierections
From Indianapolis:
1 start out on I70 heading west 2 procede to US41 and head south(terra haute exit) 3 follow 41 south to Interstate 64, (this is only about 20 miles from Evansville) 4 take 64 east for 1 exit to IN 57 north(this might be marked I 164 at this point) 5 follow 57 north to IN 68(first or second stop light not exactly sure) 6 turn right on 68 heading east 7 take the first left onto Sawmill road(this is tricky to spot at night so be careful) 8 procede to box 95 sawmill road
From Evansville:
follow I164 North to IN 57 the follow steps 5-8
Notes: The house itself is a bit hard to find, the driveway is at the top of the hill immediatly after the county line marker on the right side of the road. the drive is on the right and when you pull in you should see a small house on the right beside a circle drive that will have farm equipment in it, as well as two grain bins toward the back of the drive
yes i know there is a turn for 68 from 41, but the road is closed due to construction, so please don't go that way
after getting off the exit from I64 to 57 you will not travel over 15 miles.
I will have my cell phone on at all times, please give me a call if you get lost, and i will try to help out (317)437-4293
