OOC: The time concept is pretty much stolen from Sluggy Freelance
BIC: Sho'vak thought he would be trapped in timeless space for eternity. Fate, however, saw his personal timeline continued in the Mittelmarch, the Land Between Lands, an unseen speck in the Oceans Unmoving. His life before joining the crew of the Carthelios was all but forgotten, and Sho'vak had spent literally countless years in a realm outside of time. The Carthelios was hit by a temporal storm, and Sho'vak was thrown overboard, seemingly marooned in a lifeless immortality. Miraculously, he fell into the timestream of the Mittelmarch, where he found himself on the right side of a battle between several denizens of the Land's capital and dozens of orcs. By the end of the battle, he had apparrently proven his worth to the well-being of Mittelmarch, and was welcomed to the community of warriors. Sho'vak has begun a new life in this strange realm, and though he occasionally misses the freedom of the Oceans Unmoving, he appreciates the consistancy of time.

[ooc] I've been out of the loop for too long, and sho'vak's pretty stale. Next spring, I'll introduce a new character when I return to Mittelmarch. Or maybe Sho'vak will return with an actual story or something, I dunno. Maybe he's training on a mountain, or something.[/ooc]
Sho'vak learned much in the time he spent in Mittelmarch. He vanquished many foes in the battles against Cyrus Blackcloak in the Third Age. As time moved on, however, and Grish'nak began his devastating assaults. Sho'vak was wounded terribly in these battles, psychologically as well as physically. Despite encouragement from those he had come to call family, Sho'vak no longer felt as though he could contribute to the defense of the community. After a tiring defense of one of Grishnak's many raids, Sho'vak left with nothing but a single sword, his destination and intentions unknown.
