Authion walked out of the castle after his hasty examination of his queen's room. His hands balled into fists as he thought of this newest contact by Telemachus. How had it been done? How had he gotten the message through without alerting either Elestirne or Olore? What magic? That...that... The elven-knight could only shake his head, frustrated. For the sorceror,he had no word good enough. Fiend was the most polite of those springing to his mind.
He shook his head again. He could sense that there was more to the sorceror than what he knew, that there was more to the dark one than what he had been told. And, possibly,it was something important. But, if it was meant for him to know, than surely he would have learned it. All the same...
The elf sighed-discarding that thought-and wondered what was taking place in the council. What were his queen and the others deciding about this second contact, and what to do about this meeting tomorrow? Would she go alone or be accompanied? That at least, Authion could answer. Though they had not been here long,he already knew enough of Kotaro and Tatsumura to know that they would not think of letting Elestirne-their friend-and guest- to go into danger alone. And he, Olore and Storm would certainly not hear of it. So that much was settled at least-they would be going with her whether she liked it or not. But that left the question of how they would be accompanying,so as not to invite suspicion... As well as what would be done about this contact...
For the third time Authion shook his head, and started to head to where the elven force was quartered. A familiar, magical enegy touched his mind. He turned just slightly, and glmpsed Olore out of the corner of his eye, with Elestirne astride. The pair were just then passing through the wall that encompassed the stronghold. Unease and astonishment rippled through him at seeing his queen setting out alone with no escort, considering the sorceror's contact. Instinctively,he took a few steps after them-as if meaning to stop her.
Realizing what he was doing though, he forced himself to stay still. She needs her space,he told himself. Especially considering this newest contact. She will be safe with Olore. He would never let anything happen to her. But...should I inform someone of this? The elven-knight thought a moment. No...not right at this moment. But if they do not return soon I shall have to.
With that, he continued on his way. Recalling his promise,he tacked Mornaur and led the restless and eager stallion to an unused and empty portion of the grounds-where he wasted no time putting the blood-bay through some much needed exercise and practice battle routines. Losing himself in the familiarity of the actions and the sense of oneness with the magnificent creature beneath him, it was some time before he realized he was being observed. After putting the stallion through a few more moves Authion reined him to a plunging, rearing halt. With a pat to the muscled neck, he straightened. His keen emerald eyes searched for his watcher-whom he could sense clearly now.

Elestirne's silver eyes studied the other speculatively, warily. "I too, am a friend and ally of Mittelmarch," she said at last. Her musical voice held a cautious tinge. " I am the Lady Elestirne,of the elven-realm of Artanor. By some...I am called Starbrow and Lady of Twilight. I am here by request to...give aid to a friend in need."
At his next words, startlement and surprise passed briefly over her features, flickering in her eyes. Blinking once, slowly, she slid from Olore to the ground;further surprised to find herself taller than the other by some inches. Other elven-men had always been her height or taller. Putting aside this curious fact as something to possibly ask of later, her next words came thoughtfully, almost hesitantly.
"If that is what you saw or seek...then it is possible I am she you saw. I and my stallion." Her eyes held a faintly wary, guarded look now,and the cautious tinge in her voice was more pronounced. "Why you would have had a vision of us though I know not. Perhaps it is not for I to know."
At his words about the carving, her gaze slid in a brief glance to Olore, and the faintest ghost of a smile touched her sculpted lips briefly. The silver stallion held his head high, eyes glowing. "One should underestimate nothing...Denendir. What one appears on the outside is not always an accurate measure for what might be found inside-if one but takes the time to look..."
Olore snorted softly. He sees what I see. Not just what you appear outwardly, but what you truly are. He is powerful to see such...perhaps there is a reason we were shown to him and why he felt compelled to seek me-us-out. Druids-even as with seers and mystics-see what is hidden to others... He senses your power,as he senses mine. And now, I think, 'tis time we find out how he reacts to me lady.
The silver stallion took a few purposeful, gliding steps forward and lowered his noble head enough to touch his muzzle very lightly to the carved horse the other held. Briefly-for a heartbeat,no more-the little object flickered with a hint of the same, subtle, silver-white light that limned the stallion. With a satisfied snort Olore lifted his head to lock his depthless, indigo blue orbs with the eyes of the elf;projecting his thoughts so that he heard him. The stallion's voice was deeply musical;rich, ringing, and vibrating with power and age.
I am Olore. You sensed me youngling,so you know that I am far, far more than what you see before you-hence my lady's words. You came seeking and so you have found-both my lady and I His unblinking gaze did not leave Denendir. Now what, friend of Mittelmarch? His indigo eyes seemed almost to glow with a light of their own as he appraised the elf.
Elestirne came forward to stand with Olore, one slender hand on the great stallion's shoulder. Noting Denendir's apparent awe and surprise she said quietly. "Olore,of course...is an example. He is not simply what he appears to be,as you have sensed and he told you. What you might have sensed or seen in me,however I do not know and will not presume to guess." She shook her head slightly and the silver-blue moonstone in her circlet glimmered as silver sparkles shimmered though her midnight hair. "But perhaps it might be made clear in the telling of this premonition of yours. Olore sensed you-as you sensed Olore-so it is plain to me that this is no simple meeting of wayward travelers at least." Her silver eyes held his blue ones inquisitively, curious but wary.

Lifting my head from the deep bowing posture I was in, I stood straight up and looked on as Lady Starbrow's and then to her horse as it came over slowly to nudge the horse carving I had made. I heard a strange but soothing voice within my own head, within my thoughts. I felt really strange as I looked into the horse's deep blue eyes. I felt calm at ease as we stared into one another's eyes. Things were serene and tranquil within this moment. I snapped back to what was going on.
"If you have time of my telling, milady, I can tell you about my vision, if you so wish to hear. I am still unsure as to why I was shown of the both of you. And Olore was it? I am honored to meet one such as yourself, I have only met another like yourself that emanated such strong power and had a conscious of their own. But that is another story. Would either of you care to have a bite to eat or some frest water?", I asked.

"A beautiful horse you have there," Kotaro said, not leaving his place in the trees. He'd always enjoyed being in the trees.
"You seem on edge. Is something the matter, besides the obvious?"

Authion heard the familiar voice and his eyes followed his keen ears to a tree. There was a faint shadow among the higher branches that did not belong there and the elf nodded slightly to himself. Mornaur snorted and pawed at the ground lightly, but Authion stilled him with a touch on his neck.
"Come out if you like Kotaro ohtar," he invited. "We might speak more easily then. I would ask why you have ben watching me, and how long perhaps, but it might not be for I to know and that it is rude morever for the guest to ask the host what they do in their own holding and why."
Without looking to see if the mortal came out of the tree or followed,Authion slipped to the ground and began to walk. Mornaur followed without being led, the blood-bay's nose at his master's shoulder.
"As to Mornaur...I thank you for the compliment. I bred and reared him myself. He is my favored mount and there is a great bond between us-as here so often is between the best of elven-horses and their riders. Many years we have been a pair and the two of us are well-matched. We learn from and listen to each other,as rider and mount should." The elven-knight lifted a hand to stroke the stallion's black muzzle, who nuzzled him in turn. "His name means 'Dark Fire' in my tongue- 'Dark Flame' your kind might be inclined to translate it instead. I am fortunate to have him for my companion." The knight's emerald eyes darkened and he paused.
"As for your other comment though...by 'the obvious' I guess you to mean this meeting with the sorceror tomorrow and this newest contact by him of my lady-queen. She is unsettled by it, so I am as well. By all accounts, he is dangerous and though Elestirne has faced him before I worry nontheless at the thought of her doing so again. You cannot tell me that mine-all of ours'- worry is misplaced. There is something about that one which I have not been told and I wonder despite myself what it could be that I would not be told. Aside from that...I just feel someything is not right. I am not foresighted as my queen is but, like her, I feel that a storm is rising. And when there are storms one should prepare to weather them. But how can you prepare to weather that which you do not know is coming? But,enough, perhaps. What of the council? It would be good to know what has been decided to be done about this contact and the impending meeting." This last phrase did not hold the rising inflection of a question, yet there was a faintly questioning tone to it.

At Denendir’s words Olore snorted softly and dipped his muzzle in response, but offered no comment. His sculpted ears flicked back and forth though, as if he were considering something.
Elestirne glanced at him. What do you say friend?
I think we should hear this vision of his. It may prove to be important. However, we do not want to stay here overlong. We do not want-or need-to be missed and have someone sent to seek us out. Authion saw us depart lady. If we are absent too long he may worry and go to Tatsumura, or Kotaro. We do not need to worry them unnecessarily.
She nodded slightly. A good point. Returning her focus to Denendir she said, “I would be most interested in hearing of your vision lord of Kanthea. Perhaps Olore or I might see a clue where you did not. As for your offer...” she shook her head gently. “I must decline. Olore advises against staying here too long and I find I agree with him. There are those that might note our absence and decide to search for us.” Mindful of her words, she glanced briefly to the sky. The sun was high. A few hours, no more, had passed since they had left the kyuden. But a few hours absence might be all it took for the others to begin to worry. Both she and Olore looked to Denendir patiently; waiting to hear of this vision.

"I am glad you would like to hear of my vision. And as far as for not staying here, I will saddle up and walk with you then, no doubt you have somewhere to be?" I said while looking directly into Lady Elestirne's eyes.
Looking down to the carving, and then back up to her, I set it within her hands and began to walk back towards Faux, before thinking about saying a couple words. I again turned to mist and this time reappeared next to my horse. I gathered my food and plate and such and set them within a small belt pouch that seemed to retain its shape even though I had put about 5 - 10 lbs of sustinence within it. I backed away from the stream after filling a waterskin full of this clear water and then walked my horse over to Lady Elestirne, waiting for her response to my question.

Kotaro swung nimbly from branch to branch, using his natural agility and precision, until at last he stood upon the ground. Very little sound had been made. If one hadn't known he was there, they would assume it was the wind rustling the leaves.
He walked over to Authion. He had changed into his gi by this point, the optimum clothing for tree-running, as he called it. "I have the shugenja investigating your Lady's room, with her permission, naturally. I think it will be a while before they'll have determined anything conclusive. We've also decided that in the interest of safety, Lady Elestirne will be moved to a more secure room in the kyuden."

Instantly, Kotaro turned toward the sound of the intruder's voice, his sword drawn and leveled. He could see a vague outline of slightly deeper shadows. "Give me one good reason why I shouldn't bleed you dry where you stand."

Elestirne experienced a moment of surprise as Denendir placed the horse carving in her hands. One slim finger lightly traced the proud curve of the neck;marveling at the skill evident in the craftsmanship. As the elven-queen studied the carving Olore turned his head slightly to follow Denendir as the elf again turned to mist and reappeared next to his horse;packing up his things and leading the mare back over to their side of the stream.
Elestirne lifted her gaze again as Denendir approached with his mare. “You have done such as this before,”she noted quietly;indicating the carving she held. A subtle tinge of admiration touched her melodic voice. “There is great skill and caring in its making. Surely you do not mean this to be mine?”
Recalling the question she added. “And no…it is not that we have somewhere to be as much as it is that we have somewhere we ought to return to ere we are missed and others sent to find us. You may come if you like. I would think you would be welcome if you are an ally and friend of Mittelmarch, for we are hosted by one Tatsumura Masamue-whose name may be known to you. He is a friend of mine.”
A faint wariness touched her face and she chose her next words carefully. “A message came to me from one of his people, a dear friend that I knew-and still know-as Storm;asking my aid. Thus I have come, in friendship, to help as I may.” She shook her head faintly as she slipped astride Olore gracefully, and silver shimmered through her midnight tresses. “But this is not fit talk for two strangers new-met-and brethren of the people at that. Tell of your vision Denendir.” Her silver eyes-and Olore’s starry indigo ones-held his intently.

"Yes, Lady Elestirne, I am a friend of Mittelmarch and I do know of Tatsumura. We have fought before within the great boundaries of Mittelmarch with friend and against our foes. I do know of the place he resides and I think there is one amongst them you call Kotaro? He too,is a friend. This horse I set within your hands milady. It symbolizes all that you and Olore sfor and/or feel almost all the time. I made it not knowing who or how it was to be used or made. I just simply made it from my vision,it is by mere coincidence that yourself and Olore would be here as I finished it. So it is yours to keep, milady." I said with a slight bow.
"I sit in a dark room upon meditating. It is quiet and dark with candles lit all around. I see a glimpse of light coming off the water near the edge of my kingdom. A female clad with shining white light emanating from her body and soul reaches out and calls my name. A horse next to her is trying to tell me something. And then a man of dark power comes out of nowhere, and tries to take this maiden of light away, but the horse grabs her and drags her further away. As the man tries to go after her, she asks me to help her by stopping him in his tracks or else many lives are in danger. So I grabbed up my staff and cast nature incantations that bound this dark power within viney ropes and roots sprang from the ground to bound him to the ground, cold air wished around him freezing him to place. But for everything I did, he had a reaction to just instantly break free. I only slowed him. The maiden however managed to escape. This is the vision I had, that one would have need of me more than what I knew I could do. My talents were needed elsewhere for the time being. And when I saw you and Olore here, it kind of gave me a little hope that I could be of some help to you. We could learn from each other could we not?" I said while raising my brow and catching my breathe.

slowly moving out of the shadow revealinig a full 6'5" human looking figure sharp green eyes with a gren cloak that has a gold and purple nordic dragon trim, and white tunic. "one good reason is that i will just get up and soak my own blood back up, a blessing...(next is muttered) {and a curse if you try killing yourself}. second have i a wepon drawn to fight. do you wish to sully this ground with sweet blood i will if i must but i warn you of hidden demons from within, they tend to turn up when high magick is used such as a blood resurection. i am on a quest and seek answers not fighting."

Authion gave Kotaro a sharp, penetrating gaze as the man stepped to his side. "Moved? I can agree with the logic of doing so,and I thank you and your lord for thinking for her safety. But if you move my queen you move I as well. Friends of hers and trustworthy you may be but I will not stand for being quartered apart from her. It would be considered almost a desertion of duty, and dishonor, if I allowed her to be moved to a different section of the castle and did not ask-nay, demand- that my own lodgings be moved as well. As for examining her room...I did so myself before coming out here and noticed nothing other than a faint sense of dark magic. I am no mage though. Perhaps one of our spellweavers might pick up more.
"As for the rest of the council...there is no decision yet how we will accompany her to her meeting with the sorceror? Time is running short to decide..." The elf paused suddenly, tensing at a rustle and watching as a tall figure edged slowly out of the shadows of the trees it had been concealed in. The stranger's first words gave him pause briefly, but his longsword was drawn and at the ready in an eyeblink;its enchanted edges glittering. Authion's emerald eyes too, glittered;a hard edge of suspicion in them. Behind him, Mornaur pranced and snorted and he knew without looking that the blood-bay's ears were flat against his skull and his muscles were bunched and tense;ready at a moment to charge and trample the intruder. Shifting just slightly, Authion placed himself prudently between the agitated stallion and the stranger, with a calming whisper in his own tongue. "At ease, my valient one" Mornaur subsided with an uneasy snort, but continued pawing the ground and paplable tension radiated from him.
Satisfied that the stallion would not act,Authion fixed an unblinking gaze on the stranger. His keen ears heard the muttered words and his emerald eyes narrowed as they appraised the stranger. He appeared as tall as Authion, with some discernible elven features but the rest was hard to make out. human perhaps? Something else? The reference to a 'blood resurrection' triggered unease in the elf-knight. He had heard of such beings, though they were not to be found in Artanor. A blood mage? He gave Kotaro a cautioning look and spoke aloud.
"If you do not seek fighting you would do well not to provoke it stranger. These are tense times and walking uninvited into an armed keep is generally not the best way to communicate peaceful intent. It would be good for you to tell us of the nature of this quest of yours, who this woman is and what relic you seek."

"Atra esterni ono thelduin" taking a knee and looking up at now three people. "yes i am a blood mage and i seek an Elven lady of noble birth i hear tell of, also i seek the relic of this land Azoths gate so i traverse to the demonic realm to put an end to my father so i can find my mothers love. I do not know anything of tense times but the dark magic you speak of smells to be of teleportation and not that of an item but of raw power no more i can tell unless i see the mark it leaves on where it came to be"

Elestirne froze;becoming still as a statue upon Olore. Her slim hands-in the act of slipping the carving into a small pouch on her waist-stilled. Her starbright eyes of silver widened;both eyebrows raising. Some sort of emotion-startlement,worry,surprise?-flickered across her fair features before her face became unreadable. Her bearing became wary, guarded-tense even.
Olore tensed also, but only very slightly. Bending his neck, he nosed the elven-queen with obvious gentleness and tenderness. Be at ease my lady...
He has seen you Olore-and I. Or at least...how I might appear to him spiritually. This dark power...it could only be Telemachus. Has he seen how part of our meeting will be? What could be the purpose for him seeing this-and us?
Do you know the purpose for everything you see? Olore countered gently. There is a reason he has seen what he has and I think he knows as much as you-if not less-as to why.
Elestirne nodded some, and her tense posture eased a little. Taking a breath, she closed her eyes briefly. When she again opened them and focused on Denendir her expression was calm, composed. "Yes...perhaps we could indeed learn from one another. And-based on what you were shown-you may indeed be able to help me in some way. But time alone shall decide that... The dark one you saw...he is known to me. We have met once before." Something flared in the silver eyes and a shudder rippled her slender frame and as a look of pain flitted briefly over her face. Olore snorted and stamped the ground. Something seemed to sharpen in the air around them, but it passed after a moment.
" As for knowing Tatsumura...that makes good hearing to me. I am certain you would meet with welcome if you accompanied us back. Kotaro is known to me as well, and a friend. As for the horse...I thank you for the gift and regret I have nothing to gift you with in return Denendir." She glanced briefly towards the sun. But we should be on our way now." She appeared calm enough as she regarded him,but a faint uneasiness flickered through her eyes and she seemed distracted or disturbed.
Olore supplied the answer even as he moved into a slow trot. She has had an eventful morning and many worries hang on her shoulders. The contents of your vision have troubled and distressed her further-especially the mention of the dark one, which does not please me either-so she feels slightly overwhelmed. If you wish to accompany back to the kyuden I suggest you mount and catch up. I wait for no one. At these words the stallion had already reached the woods and here paused briefly to look back;tail swishing, before continueing on.

"It was never said that you are not a threat stranger," Authion answered. His voice was even but the edge to his melodic voice was no less sharp as Kotaro's and his narrowed eyes glittered with emerald flame. His sword remained at guard and the elf-knight's bearing was tense and wary.
He watched the other's every move cautiously. Mornaur behind him scraped a hoof anxiously on the ground;sensing his master's tension and more than ready to leap foward to defend him at need.
Authion did not take his eyes off the stranger, but he spoke to Kotaro in a murmur the other could not hear; so low it was less than a whisper and the warrior-standing right next to him-had to strain to catch even the general meaning of the words. The elf's lips moved barely at all. "The only elven-lady in this land that I know of is my lady-queen... And this 'Azoth's gate'...was this not mentioned in the note the sorceror Telemachus somehow sent to her? This mention of blood mages and a demonic realm does not sit well to my mind. What do you think Kotaro?"
Aloud, loud enough for the stranger to hear, "You should declare yourself and who you are stranger. As well as who this elven-lady is that you seek. And you ought not to listen to private conversations morever."

looking up from the runes he gives a sad look " "i search for my mother an elven lady of noble descent, is a sad thing. more over i was born a blood mage and hate my life with passion but as you may know i cannot wholely die. there is a storm comming and there is no weathering it out in houses made of wood and stone many swords will fall to never rise again" standing up " i am wolfblade i search for Azoth's gate b/c i need to reach my father . any fool trying to controll a demonic artifact is sure to feel its wrath in due time. In order to use any thing dark especially demonic artifacts require some demonic blood in the user other wise it will refuse to be used for its true intent or turn it against its user. I know I can use it in time but first i must find the thing"

Staring back to Olore and Elestirne as he started to walk out of the area, Denendir thought of what had happened and what was going to happen. He thought of his vision and of the how he saw Lady Elestirne. Whether she was or wasnt the one he saw, he knew his aid would be needed in order to stop his world from being destroyed.
Denendir hopped ontop of Faux's back without any trouble at all. He stared off into the distance where Olore and Elestirne were traveling. He began to say a few ancient words and he and Faux turned into a cloud of smoke traveling over to where Olore and Elestirne were walking along before returning to normal state right next to them.
"You know, its not hard to keep up or for that matter amaze you I bet." Denendir said with a slight smile, "So what would you like to talk about?"

The only reaction Olore gave was a slight flickering of his sculpted ears. Elestirne, who had also seen the cloud of smoke approaching watched unsurprised-but with great interest-as it solidfied into Denendir and his mare. Thoughtfully,a hand dropped to the small puch that now held the carved horse he had given her. He is powerful, she mused to herself.
Olore snored. He would not have seen us for no reason. Likewise, I would not have sensed him for no reason. What that reason may be I know not yet. To Denendir he said. Good, you can keep up. But if I had been of a mind to, my lady and I could already have been within Tatsumura's walls; with no more effort than thought and as swift as light. The stallion shook out his mane with another snort, this one of amusement. And you would still be here. But I thought it best to return as we had left. Normally. The stallion shifted into a brisk, floating trot with a soft chuckle.
Elestirne, with a brief smile, moved her hand to Olore's neck in a pat. Her silver eyes were curious as she turned her gaze on Denendir. The reins lay loosely on the stallion's neck as her other hand rested easily on the saddle's cantle. "You might tell of yourself and of your realm Denendir, lord of Kanthea. I have been in Mittelmarch before but ne'er have I heard of it."
Olore tossed his mane as they trotted along. You might also tell more of this vision of yours, as much as you can remember-especially regarding this dark one you saw. As my lady Elestirne said, we have encountered him before if the dark one in your vision is he we think it to be. The silver stallion's voice was solemn, and quite serious. Elestirne astride him tensed slightly. Dipping his muzzle lightly, Olore added. We should reach Tatsumura's hold in a few hours at this pace.

looking at the runes again in the cast he noticed they shifted. frowning he picked them up and returned them to their pouch. "Lord Kotaro is it? We should follow the others involved in this and provide a guard. Isn't safe. A dark watchings is upon this place and we are not safe can you not feel it in the air does nature not announce this to you? you he and I are now being watched and there is others being watched by dark eyes too."

"I am but a simple human. Nature does not speak to me. Furthermore, you walk into my home uninvited, so I have no reason whatsoever to trust you. In fact, I'd be well within my power to cut you down, even if you don't die from it."
