You could always make your own. As for premade armor, I haven't the foggiest.

dunno who told ya that. it just has to be 12 oz leather, or 1/8th of an inch thick i believe.

3/16inch thick =] or you can double/triple/whatever amount you need to meet the max or with thinner leather you can studd/scale it as long as the metal is not more than half an inch apart and more then 2/3rds of the leather is covered with the metal. what kind of armor are you looking for? i've only made armor for 2 girls so far, one had a scaled design so it could move and groove to her body, and the other i kinda just built a little space for. it doesnt like, show anything off, but its comfy for her. Okay, so its not all the armor ive done (im missing about 4), but its better than nothing Armor Page

I'm wanting armor that's best for an archer... so something that would move with me would be great! Because I don't want something that will hinder my speed or movements any...

You can get leather at Tandy, and I still have a full half a hide in my garage I'm fairly certain. As far as female armor, it just depends on what type you want. Making it for guys and girls is pretty much the same process, just different diminsions generally. I can help give you some direction if you're going to be at practice this saturday, I'll actually be there for once this year.

Chainmail will move, but that'll deffinately hinder speed =P Ive seen a lot of archers do asymetrical pieces. Do you have an idea of your design?

Finding the leather to make it is the easy part.
Could look up The Leather Factory, they took over Tandy a while back and put my dad out of a job.
Could go to CrazyCrow.com it deals with all sorts of hides and leather and such.
Any other needs, lemme know. I have my sources.

One of my new members up here in the Steppes found an Amish guy who is a leather tanner. His stuff is THICK and in great condition. He got more than a whole hide for under 100.00!
I'll point him out if interested at the event this weekend.

"with thinner leather you can studd/scale it as long as the metal is not more than half an inch apart and more then 2/3rds of the leather is covered with the metal" -
Does this mean if I wanted to make a sort of patch-worked armor set up (leather with chainmail patches) that I could use the thinner leather as long as it's 2/3 chain?
Am thinking the leather would be easier to fit to shoulders, also look good as part of a outcast barbarian persona. Thanks.
