This weekend found me attempting to make a few new weapons, one of which was a javiln. Unfortunately I believe it fails due to wegiht; don't have scales available just yet.
But if it does come out to being above thet 1.5lb maximum, could I turn it into a 1 handed short spear? Currently it's just over 4ft long, has a double layered - open cell head. I realize it could be confused with a javlin if I was to have to drop it and someone else happened upon it. Would a green cover; as opposed to mandatory javlin yellow, be sufficent to distinguish it or are there other measures to take? Or is the risk of mistaken identity too great in this case?
Thanks,
Stubbie the Short.

yes, a green cover would help distiguish it, also if you cut out an area or two in the pading to give it handgrips that would help people understand its not a javvie
