Would one use the rules on the bow, and just use them for the crossbow?
Second: What kind of rules are applied if I wanted to make some shurikens?

Believe they have a lower maximum poundage on the pull...25 as opposed to 35, since you can't dynamically adjust the pull length.
And for surikiens: generally, thrown weapons are restricted to Javlin's and rocks, on the national level. Localities allow them on a site by site basis. Believe to make one you would basically make a shaped rock, though.

Mittelmarch, has yet to post our house rules, but we allow "thrown Blues" they need to be coreless, and can't easliy pass through a 2.5 inch hole. pretty much make sure it can't take out an eye, and you can cover it in athletic tape or fabric, must have something cover it. We had throwing axes at one point. Hope that helps.
