So, I kinda feel like this is the elephant in the room..
But RAGNAROK is coming up!
For those of you not in the know, Ragnarok is the largest Dagorhir event anywhere; a week-long camping adventure with friends, food, and FIGHTING!
Ragnarok will be held at Cooper's Lake Campground in Slippery Rock, PA, the week of June 12th-19th, 2011. The campground will be closed to mundanes for this week, giving us prime camping space, which should allow for 50-75% of camps to have access to power hookups, and 100% of camps to have running water. There is no noise restriction / curfew. = LOTS OF FUN!
Some things to keep in mind:
1. Bring a photo ID
2. Bring a printed copy of your registration if you pre-regged!
A lot of things can go wrong with 600+ people going through pre-reg, so you may need to verify you have paid for registration, or you might have to pay again!
3. If you are under age and get caught drinking, you, your chaperon, and possibly your camp master get kicked out. This is very serious, so follow the rules of your camp master!
4. After 6pm each night, everyone, even if you are just drinking water must have a period container to drink from! This is a Ragnarok rule. (Goodwill has some great period-looking containers.)
5. Everyone needs to respect those camping around you and clean up after themselves daily; trash, belongings ect. If your things are left out, they can and will get thrown away!
6. DRINK WATER! Seriously. Do it. It's hot, and you will melt, or die, whatever comes first. Buying bottled water and keeping in a cooler at camp is easy, sanitary, and cheaper than dying!
If not this year, hopefully you all will have the chance to experience Ragnarok.
