I just wanted to say overall I think the council did a great job. Thanks folks. ;D
I had some thoughts to share for next year. Do with as you will.
1- lose the river bed point and make a holy point in the open field. That would make an open field, woods battle, and a battle in the ent graveyard that seems to be tunnel battles in all the underbrush.
2- remind me and I'll bring my cloth walls for the castle entrances.
3- move castles a bit so that we can tie ropes in trees at 6' height. Then missles from inside castle can be shot out at any height but missles coming from the outside must clear the rope. This gives the defenders of the castles an edge but still allows limited incoming missles from attackers.
4- maybe use megaphone and explain all rules to fighters before sending teams to their castles.

I would have to agree on an amazing job on running the event. And why not use the hill as some sort of objective, I think it would add an interesting, albeit tiring dynamic.

Real walls sounds great.... The rope ones weren't the easiest to do.. but it was still cool!

we actually discussed using the hill as an objective rojji, think about this for a second would you really want to run up to the top of that hill to find defenders sitting there with a bunch of poles just hammering down on you, you would die have to go back down the hill then climb back up.
Not really sure where we could put the open field point at Anvil, I like the idea but where could we put it?

well, there is a decent expanse at the base of that hill that then bleeds out to Troll, the pathways to the lake and graveyard and up to the edge of the woods. Theres also a rather open field out behind the parking lot that has a couple of the woods trails leading to it.

Oof no I wouldn't, but I didn't like trying to extricate the dragoons from our castle but I tried. Lol I was florentine so tried is the operative word lol.

I was thinking that the open feild point could be over by the area you did warm ups in.

That's actually a great idea Boss. I was point herald for castle 1, and one of the chief complaints I kept hearing was that aside from a few early attacks, no one really hit that castle very much. Having another point in that general area would bring the fighting back out there some and give the defenders of that castle a bit more to do.
Other than that, working on balancing the teams a bit more perhaps (although I know how difficult this is, just had a lot of people mention it), and I think we'd be set. I'm still bummed I had to take off at the half-way point =/
