Just follow the official rules of Dagorhir/Belgarth (Basically the same thing, but you might as well pass for both) www.dagorhir.com/dagorhir/Rules.htmwww.belegarth.com/rules.phpThe best leather I've found is from... www.tandyleather.comI think there is a store in Indy if you can find some to purchase. I think it has to be 12-13 oz. If you need anything else, feel free to ask, although I'm from Crann Meigeall. I don't think the Mittelmarchers mind me saying that. Or at least I hope not.

We don't mind at all Gwamyr. You are correct though, there is a tandy leather in Indy or speedway more percisily. Remember to tell them you are getting it for a midevil fighting game or mittelmarch dagorhir chapter more percisly because you get a discount. I've starting doing some leather working as has Nichtmar so we can help you abit if you need it.

Whoa, you get a discount? I ordered 3 rolls of leather (Not all for me), rivets, eyelets, and dye. It was expensive... But, I don't mind, it's going to something that matters.

I purchased scrap leather from Bretuns village. You can by sides of leather there too. Shipped in a timely manner, and almost all of the leather I received was of leagal thickness. Works out really well if you plan on making small pieces (bracers and so on) or piecing together smaller bits to make your armor, like scale or various other designs.

The price of all the leather together was around $300, for 3 rolls of legal leather, 4 dyes, 2 leather finishes, rivets, and eyelets.
For each roll it was $70 because of a sale in February, it went up to $140 I think, but one roll of that leather will get you 1-1 1/2 suits of armor.

$300 bucks? Yipe! Hope you got the wholesalers' membership... it would have been worth $30 to get the discount on all the other stuff you bought... I did that this week when I bought saddle skirting (1/2 a hide) I broke even on the cost of the wholesalers membership, but for the next year I can save more than the cost of the membership on my next purchases. $65 for 22sqf of 14oz leather... (The TANDY in Grand Rapids is a warehouse, not a store) so I made out pretty good. very good really; the young lady that helped me out picked through the hides untill we found the biggest, most uniform in thickness hide... 14oz all the way, even across the belly! (Ok it had a brand mark on it, but not a bad one) What was that cow eating?

We get the discount if we just go into the store in town rather than order it online.

Yeah, the leather we bought was 12-14 oz. and 22-24 square feet of hide. It is pretty nice and I finally get to start chopping it up, hopefully it comes out right.

there's supposed to be a place downtown in end, the name starts with an L... Anyway, they are supposed to have really good prices on leather and you don't have to buy it by the bend. I'd look it up in the yellow pages
