I have two foam boogie boards in the basement that look like they could make nice ultralights with a little bit of work. It'll be like two weeks before I come to a MM practice (I WILL come, promise, just need to get other stuff in order for the summer first) and I don't plan on starting them without a little guidance. I also have to finish the glaives Alric and I built....bah, I don't have any weapons right now!!!

If it's porous like the stuff we found and are using on our shields it's good, and you should have no problem making shields, just use layers. If it's the kind that looks like a million little balls of foam glued together that's no good. I can make another tutorial for the shield design I just used today if you want. In fact, I think I'll do that anyhow.

Yeah it's the pourous kind, not the brittle ball/kickboard type.
I asked about doing them coreless after looking at some of the questions on the Eryndor board as well as pictures of the Edhellen design.

Oh, and Atticvs, I am all about tutorials if for no other reason than learning more ways to do stuff.

That's the best picture I can find...mine are older but in good shape (they were used in Florida many many years ago but have held up beautifully). They're 36" tall so they're not quite as large as the Edhellen design, I think...but apparently they're worth like $30 and I know I didn't spend that much on these back when they were purchased. I need to make a phone call but I may know some people who have at least one more if you think these will be usable. Of course, I figure we'll have to remove the wrist tether but I don't expect that to be too troublesome.
