Does anyone know who is still carrying snow sleds, or does someone have an extra or something that they would like to get rid of?
Just looking for some information. I would really like to get my new shield done soon, but i can't seem to find a sled. lol, so horrible

Can't say that I know of any but I'll keep an eye out for one for you. What kind of sled do you need?

i do not really care at the moment, but probably a circular type sled would work best. The only thing with them, is i wanted it to be a little longer, not neccessarily rounder. Something will show itself eventually. Thanks for looking.

Check the sporting good stores as well, you might be able to find one on clearance at this time of year.

Hey, I just thought about this yesterday while I was at a toy store....what about a boogie board? Just a thought, they would be easier to get ahold of I just didn't know if it would owrk as far as the style.

Boggy board shields work, but they aren't the same type of sheild.

Dhugal's strap shield... ya'll know the one with the "eye of sauron" painted on it? Well, that was made with a boogie board and it has held up quite nicely.

True, both will hold up, they just make different shapes and kinds of shields usually. I've normally seen sleds for larger strap shields.

I have 2 or 3 circular sleds. If practice were at Lawrence Park I could give you one, but I guess I can next weekend.

Ok, so instead of making a new thread i decided to post this here.
I just finished a shield made out of an all foam sled, well it had a plastic bottom...but not anymore hehehe... and the thing is its quite possibly the lightest thing I've ever picked up as far as Dag is concerned. Granted it is a back strap shield only but I just wanted thoughts as far as the weight is concerned. I looked at the rules and there is nothing there governing the weight of a shield though I wanted to see if anyone had thoughts as to whether it would be a bad idea for the structure or if a really light shield might not pass a weapons check. Thanks in advance for the help.

They won't fail a shield for weight unless it can taco or is just not sturdy at all.
