Alright I had a few questions I have recently came across the terms plastidipped. I have done research into it and am very much interested in attempting to do this. however I don't want to jump head first into something and have no freaking clue what I am supposed to do. So if the people who have done this could be of assistance it would be great. I also want to clarify that plastidip can be on shields but not on any striking surface is that correct? thank you for the assistance

Yes there are many ways to go about plasti dipping... hard to explain but the national forums has a great guide stickied wynar is a pro at what he does.... You can use it on shields but you have to make sure its completely smooth and you dont clump at all.... easy on a flat shield but for a domed shield not so much and you CAN NOT use it on striking surfaces but you can use it on flats if done right it shouldn't effect the weapon much but I would start out with simpler things such as a shield or maybe a hilt or pommel

I actually did see several weapons come through check at rag that had plasti dip on the striking surface, so there is some debate on that, thing is though i saw several but very few of them actually passed
