A Map?

Ok I know I'm farely new at this, but I want to help and be a part of this. I'm pretty good with graphics and such, so I want to put together a Map. So what i'm looking for is: Locations in relations to each other (something like "location" is south of "another location", "location" is on NorthWest Tip of LBTL)
shape maybe of the land
mountains, trails, whatever
Where certain events happened
Anything would help, thought it may be cool to give us a map to help guide our stories along. Maybe bring a sketched map to practice or something.
What ya think?

as of now, the major locations are: The Northern Steppes (where the Dragoons reside) in NE corner Aethenu in NW corner Mittelmarch is fairly well centered The Southern Reaches (Location of CrannMeigeall) is SW corner
Those are very basic and I am not entirely sure any land masses, etc.

A map is a good idea n_n There is some kind of river or something and a big hill where we killed the necromancer, but I'm not sure where that is... and there are forests, yay forests! There was one forest with a cave that bore two cave trolls during that battle to kill the necromancer and get his staff... Thats all I remember....

I once drew a map, but I believe it was lost in one of my many hard drive cleanings. I still remember most of it though, if you want to get together and hammer out something definite, Nichtmar.

The LBTL is roughly Indiana.
Mittelmarch is located in a mysterious clearing in the middle of the Greatwood. The Iron Mountains are just to the Northeast. The River of Flame starts in the Iron Mountains and flows west and then south.
The Northern Steppes span the land from the eastern coast to the home of the Aethenu. (Check with Furey for details regarding their homeland.)
The Eastern Shores lay along The Sea and are currently uninhabited.
The Southern Reaches is a thickly wooded area at the southern tip of The Land. CrannMeigall is located there.

Mittelmarch is a fortified encampment in a large clearing in the woods. If you've ever seen 13th Warrior, it's like the Viking's hall, with outlying farms and homes spread throughout the woods.

I believe it's just a name... You need some mist on there. I'm not saying baste the thing in mist, but maybe just draw a few clouds of it to represent mist...

The River of Flame is named for the way it looked during a sunset just after The Arrival.
Beautiful work. But a little squished. The Iron Mountains run from NNW of Mittelmarch to about due east. The River of Flame starts in the right place, but it should run through the Greatwood and just into the clearing. The Dragoons and Aethenu are the right distance from one another, but the entirety of the Northern Steppes should be bumped north a bit.
From what I posted today about the weather:
If I were you (and I'm not, I'm prettier), I wouldn't even try to include the sea on the map. It's so far away that including it would shrink everything way too much.
I hate to sound so critical, especially since it looks like you put a lot of effort into this. I'll buy you cookies and Gatorade next time I'm in Indyville. Unless you wanna come visit me here in Funcie. ::coughineedhelpwiththistournamentcough::

I need to send you a program Nichtmar. Anywho, It looks great, but I will send you some detailed instructions on exactly where TSR and CM are. There is a mountain range to our west, and the River Isen flows Easterly into the River of Flame. Nestled near the Southern Edge of the Great forest, Fangorn, CrannMeigeall is a Day's march from the Dale at Derndingle (for those of you who don't know, Derndingle is the location of the Entmoot from TTT.) I will get the map online and show it to you. TSR is really the overall area represented by the Southlands. The weather here is much like our real weather. The seasons have a large difference from one another, and overall there is an oppressive feeling in the air (due to the high humidity.) Yes our locale is based on LotR, and the map I have is a portion of a map of Middle Earth, but it will give you a good idea of our geographic locale... And yes, there is a city to our South, represented on the map by Isengard, and yes it is the enemy that holds power in said city. We have not named it yet, but have heard it called Mourna during our scouting raids.
